    Wildly Romantic Wedding Day
September 14, 2024, was the day Olivia Hope Hackbarth and Alex Michael McLuckie tied the knot in a celebration that was equal parts romantic, playful, and downright fun. The scenic 1868 Farmhouse was the perfect place for their wedding day, filled with love, laughter, and a few unexpected twists that made it even more memorable. Chaos? Oh Yeah, But What’s a Wedding Without It? The day kicked off with just a little bit of chaos-the groomsmen’s vests? Didn’t fit. Cue the classic Ope!” But honestly, what's a wedding without a wardrobe malfunction or two? While the groomsmen were figuring out their vests, the excitement in the air was already bubbling over. Despite the minor hiccup, the day shaped up to be one filled with love and tender moments. The gift exchange was the BEST (Seriously, It Was Next-Level Cute) Okay, I’ve seen my fair share of gift exchanges, but this one? Easily the sweetest. I legit cried editing the short version of this. Olivia had been keeping a journal throughout her relationship with Alex, writing down all the mushy, heartfelt thoughts that popped into her mind-basically, a running commentary on how she knew from day one that Alex was the one. Fast forward to the wedding day, and she hands him this journal, packed with memories, love notes, and reflections on their journey together. Cue all the feels. If that doesn’t melt your heart, you might want to check for a pulse! No First Look? No Problem-The “First Touch” Was Perfect Olivia and Alex decided to do things a little differently-no first look for these two! Instead, they opted for a “first touch,” standing back-to-back around a corner, exchanging gifts and sweet words without seeing each other. It was the perfect way to build anticipation and keep the magic of that first moment at the altar. Trust me, it was all the romance without spoiling a thing. Alex’s best man was his brother Derrick McLuckie, while Olivia had her besties Jade Brandstad and Regatta Wade by her side. The whole crew, including Leah Perry, Michael Meyer, and a special tribute to Luke Welch (gone but dearly loved), was full of energy and emotion, making sure that the day was as memorable as it was meaningful. Oh, and they totally brought their A-game for the dance floor later! Ceremony, Sunset, and ALL the Feels The ceremony was a perfect balance of heartfelt and joyful. Surrounded by family and friends, Olivia and Alex exchanged vows, and we had just enough time to sneak in some sunset photos that were chef’s kiss beautiful. And let’s not forget the food-buffet style, because who doesn’t love options? After dinner, speeches were given, tears were shed, and laughter echoed across the venue. From the prep chaos (because, let’s be real, wedding mornings are CRAY CRAY) to the gorgeous couple portraits that showed off Olivia and Alex’s undeniable connection, capturing their love was my top priority. We made sure to get all the candid shots too-guests laughing, family celebrating, and Olivia and Alex stealing those quiet, intimate moments amidst the hustle and bustle of the day. As the night wound down, Olivia and Alex took to the dance floor for one final dance, just the two of them. It was the perfect way to end an already perfect day-surrounded by love, laughter, and all the people who matter most. That night was nothing short of magical. A little chaotic? Sure. Full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments? Absolutely. It was a day that perfectly captured Olivia and Alex’s love story-and I was honored to be there to document every second. Cheers, Olivia and Alex! Here’s to a lifetime of semi-truck dates, golf adventures, and a love story that’s as sweet as that journal Olivia wrote.
