"Stage 4 theme. The style is more Chinese than Japanese.
A wonderful place above the clouds. As the true beginning
of this game, stage 4 is far longer than the others. There's
never been such a stratospheric (it's not that high) intrusion
with violent yet sorrowful music, has there? While composed
with "Journey to the West" in mind, it doesn't resemble that."
"The Capital City of Flowers in the Sky" is indeed one of the most sorrowful and melancholic songs that ZUN has.
Actually, I consider this song has this PC-98 flavor on it, that makes it one of my favorite songs in all ZUN's compositions.
However, Christmas it's not a sorrowful festivity, or it shouldn't be like that.
Unfortunately, for many people it tends to be a time full of disaster, complaints, and sadness all around.
Christmas it's a festivity that are meant to be spent with those who love, and because of that reason, it doesn't matter if your beloved ones are bounded in blood or not.
Life is a fragile and delicate work of art, and no one has granted to be alive on the next day.
That's why past isn't important, because there won't be another chance to change how things were.
That's why future isn't important either, because no matter how much we plan, we will never know what really lurks beyond the next minute.
So the only things that matters, is the present. Is the way we feel in this moment, and the way we live today.
The important thing is who we love, and how we can improve ourselves to be a better person, and surround everyone we like with peace.
Even those who we don't like should deserve forgiveness.
Hate brings the corruption of our souls, and the first person we will harm, is ourselves.
So let us all think about those who we love in this moment, the important thing we have on the present time, and think what a wonderful sensation is to feel alive.
But let us think about those we hate too, and try to understand that for whatever reason, hate should not exist. And that the best way to kill this ghosts, are by forgiving them, allowing them to sleep forever.
This Christmas let us bury the past, and let us forgive about the future, because the only thing we have granted, is the present.

You know, a guitar solo would be a pretty neat way of welcoming Spring this coming 2011.

As it's in my past that i've discovered this channel and endowed myself in this magical world.
Since that day i've been living in Zun's Wonderland, and i thank you for all the great things that have happened for me from that moment on.
And with that vision i look to the present, on what awesome music is bestowed before me day by day...

The beginning sounded like Slayer's tipical deceitfully calm entry.
The best thing in this album it's like the Yin-yang...
whenever you feel the strict, vicious sturdyness, of the distorted guitar, below the ordinary E string, you can imagine the gates of hell, infron of you, and you feel the light, calming, delayed clean guitar, what brings you to heaven... and start thinking that how can anybody mix this two feelings in one, whitout disturb the harmonization...

When I first heard this, this was really awesome.
It was really inspiring and motivational, listening to this.
The feelings it invokes, truly amazing.
It's like, some sort of solitude, mysterious beginning, then... you just get into the story, the music.
I don't really know how to describe this feeling... but well, its awesome!
Especially the solo, I like it very much, he did it in a way, that really flows along well with it..

Unfortunately it's (almost) always the same with arranges of this genre with songs of this nature. Whilst the song itself is very impressive, and definitely a favourite regardless, the original source material is just impossible to capture when done in a metal genre like this.
Don't get me wrong, I love the track, and I love metal, but there's some melodies that just aren't meant for metal, and this is one of them. Regardless, thanks for the upload, and have a good christmas ^_^
