Just bought a Night Train CF from B.D. outstanding bike at an unbeatable $2,195 to the front door. The sun ringle rims came pre-taped so setting up tubeless was a breeze. I have a similar model that I also purchased from bikes direct, the Kestrel MX-5 in 2019. That bike is the best I've ever owned and just like the night train, outstanding value and quality.

Well done Rob! I too started my Fat Bike life with a Motobecane. I was so happy I went with Bikes Direct! I recently sold it for a little over half the price I paid for it over three years ago. I learned what I wanted and what I didn't want in my next Fatty. I used my Motobecane and my newest Fatty year round and thoroughly enjoy each and every ride. Happy Holidays :-)

Nicely done video on the Motobecane. For two years I've been riding the Boris FS NX1 and I love that thing. For an old fart I've ridden the crap out of it and had no mechanicals ever ! If you look up Kenesis Industry they are the one's who build Motobecane as well as Kona, Trek, Santa Cruz, Felt, Jamis, and quite a few others. ( although these other owners don't want to know this hahaha) Big difference is your not paying for all the retail spaces, taxes and insurance on buildings and employees or employee wages. The list goes on. If everyone wants to think it's just a cheap bike that's fine with me 😆

I have the Boris X5, great bike and I paid $599. Upgrades:. Lermx ergonomic grips, grippier platform pedals, Arisun Big Smoothy tires, Box 5 inch riser handlebar since I am 6 foot 2, Schwinn Commute Pathway bike seat, replaced rear brake cable to reach taller handlebar. I rode in the snow first time this year, it was fun and I had to get away from the TV to see the beautiful scenery!

I very first saw a fat bike on a trip in Alaska. fell in love with it and thought got to have one of those,
I live in Australia nowhere near snow,(and nobody knew what a fat bike was besides a Harley Davidson fat boy, sorry fellas not the same thing)
Anyway after a few years I finally managed to track one down in Australia. (cheap Chinese knock off) absolutely love it, I ride on Bush trails, mountain trials, roads and even the beach it can go anywhere. so you don't need snow to get the most out of them.

Great video. I have the Bucksaw but my wife has the Carbon Kestrel fat bike from Bikes Direct. We have it down to about 25lbs when she runs her summer wheelset 27.5 x 3.8. She rides and races it year round and loves it. And yes, we both started out on cheaper fat bikes.

I started on a Gravity Monster Bullseye off Bikes Direct, but was scared to buy it from them, but was able to find it on Amazon for like $50 more... worth the peace of mind before I knew BD was ok to get stuff from! It ended up being my full time MTB -- granted, I'm not a very advanced rider, but being heavy it felt WAY better than a regular MTB. Ended up putting some no-name front suspension on it, switching out the wheels and pedals, and it was awesome! Rode it for 2 years before upgrading to an older Big Ed. Fattys are AWESOME

I was looking at the Motocabane Boris and then was like nah.. Went on Amazon and found the Superbros sport wonio 24 speed 26X4 fat bike. At a heavy 39 pounds it’s was fun downhill that’s for sure. I did realize I had to pay a little more. It’s took me a while but was able to find something better.. It’s 6 years old but rides and is a beast. I found my 2016 Kona Wo 1x10 with Surly Nates. 🤙🏽

Motobecan is a great budget bike and ok. BUT, understand what component level are and frame quality material. There are different levels of riding, but for the basic average rider it’s a ok purchase if your mechanical inclined. Because if not you will pay a bike shop for any adjustments that are needed and thin the line on savings.

May be true but Mine never needed anything and I beat the crap out of it, riding through sand, salt, snow, ice, many crashes, after 4 years it finally got a new drivetrain. If you need to do something RUclips can help you conquer the world.

I have this redline monocog 29er sitting in the house that needs new tires, its winter and icy, i wonder if the kenda klondike 29x2.10 would fit on there, or if ide be better to go with the 27.5x 2.10, I will have to get a new crankset too as i snapped that one winter, my cog in the back is so small I just couldnt handle spinning out on the flats, I like to stand and use my weight when i pedal a lot so I kinda needed that even though it limits you on the terrain and hills

Motobecane makes a solid fat bike. I have a 2020 carbon fiber Night Train Bullet with the SRAM Eagle GX series drivetrain. It's amazing! BikesDirect.com definitely is by far the best deal. I did a lot of math and the deals on most of the fat bikes in the +$1000.00 US range are great builds. And when you factor in the FREE shipping and fact that the bike comes 90% assembled for FREE too... wow. You're saving hundreds. Compared to FRAMED brand bikes which charge for shipping and extra for assembly. It's a no brainer for a first fat bike!
