I love learning about the real-world lore around the sets release. As a late comer to the game it makes me feel like I got to be along for the ride of Magic that my friends lived through, but I missed out on.
Wow Evan. I have to say, you create great pieces of work. This episode was very good and education creation-wise of Zendikar. Thank you for this, and please by all means, DON'T STOP.
Thank you very much for these Evan Erwin, I love your videos to get a Spike perspective of Magic, but these videos really hit it out of the park with awesomeness. Vorthos flavored with Spike, served up by a comedic host, gotta love it. Please make more of these!
Do more of these, please! I really enjoy your normal videos, but they come out so infrequently, it bums be out. but I LOVE little things like this, they're facinating, and I would be thrilled to see more, especilly since it would give me something to look forward to betwen set announcements.
A really awesome video packed full of info on one of the most iconic sets in magic :D Having put staple lands into modern and legacy, created a shift in perspective of topdecking lands and created a fast but still fun limited format, Zendikar really was spot on. Awesome job on the video Evan!! You and your team do an amazing job and hope to see much more like it and other amazing ideas you have in the future :D Can't wait to see what's next!!!
that opening described everything I feel about Magic as a whole. Casual players are in it for the fun, experienced players are in it for the mental match. and people who do competitive are there to win. But there is a huge difference between new competitive players and old ones, and new experienced players and those who have played for years.
Great episode. The Vintage cards was a nice thing to do. People's excitement to play with older cards should have been enough to prove Wizards how incredibly dumb the reserved list is.
Better than I was expecting. I'm more interested in the less known information about sets, rather than just a recap of the biggest points (which most people know). I'd love to see some of these for older sets. Kamigawa block, particularly.
All this needed to be perfect was clips from the old Magic Shows with your original reactions. Thinking specifically about the reaction to Lotus Cobra :-)
People used to laugh when I collected the Chandras from Zendikar. Then in my Red Deck of Doom, they stopped laughing when I'd drop their hands and play back all my red spells from my graveyard. Of course, having Valakut out to turn my mountains into firebolts helped a bit.
This was great, but I clicked it hoping it was about the "actual" lore of Zendikar, and not the cards. I'd love for someone on youtube to discuss the storyline behind magic in high quality!
Hey, Evan! Nice concept, doing set retrospectives! I wonder who else has been doing those as of late. :-) I only hope I can be doing work as slick as this at some point.
Is this a foresight of a Return to Zendikar set? Would allow them to reprint the fetch lands like everyone has been speculating and it would make sense if Nissa is really going to be in Magic 2015 set.
Very awersome, would love to see more of this.
Hi wc3 buff
I love learning about the real-world lore around the sets release. As a late comer to the game it makes me feel like I got to be along for the ride of Magic that my friends lived through, but I missed out on.
I LOVED this one. Please please please make more like these, new players love knowing about past sets.
love this new series. Excellent for people who didn't play during the block and/or just need a refresher ! Keep up the good work !

Love this show Idea. I was out of magic for nearly a decade and it's nice to get a refresher on the sets I wasn't around for. Keep em coming.
Love this idea. Great job. I don't play magic anymore but I still watch your show and it makes me miss the game every time.
This is soooo good and interesting!!! I'm looking forward to new episodes!
i do hope you do more of these, learning about the sets is awesome, make this a staple of your channel
At first I thought this would just be the story (flavor) of the set, but I'm just as excited for a look at the set as a whole. Nice job.
This was awesome! An unexpected treat
More of this please! I have only been playing mtg for a year and is really good to hear about how the game has evolved to be what I know.

I cannot wait for more of these! Thank you, Evan!
To this day among the best sets Magic has ever printed.
OH MANa..What a great idea (for a series?)! I want more!!

Absolutely loving this! I would love to see more Forgotten Lore! Keep it up, Magic Show!
I really like this new format, it gives us insight into the inner working of Magic in the past.
Really liking this new series. Keep up the good work Evan!
Awesome this block is one of my absolute favorite of all time, I loved the flavor and the strategies.

Moar magic Lore.... OMG THANK YOU =D
Great episode. The Vintage cards was a nice thing to do. People's excitement to play with older cards should have been enough to prove Wizards how incredibly dumb the reserved list is.

Zendikar was the best, definitely my favorite set ever, and it was the first set to come out while I was playing too (started with M10).
This is one of my favorite series on RUclips.
Sweet review of the set, I grew up playing magic with Onslaught and missed a whole bunch of the sets between my return
you have to keep doing these it was a great video and im looking forward to seeing more of it
Interesting. Good idea Evan!
oh nice, i only started playing magic casually on 2013 core, so its nice to see some of the games history and lore, ;D will enjoy this series
Great show man. Really like the new series. thank you.
Hope the next block is a return to Zendikar. I'd love to go back.
return to Alara XO
***** :((
It is. Battle for Zendikar. Or as I like to call it, Zendikar 2.0, Zendikarder
Better than I was expecting. I'm more interested in the less known information about sets, rather than just a recap of the biggest points (which most people know). I'd love to see some of these for older sets. Kamigawa block, particularly.
great job Evan! please keep doing these.
Very insightful! Thanks Evan
All this needed to be perfect was clips from the old Magic Shows with your original reactions. Thinking specifically about the reaction to Lotus Cobra :-)
I would love to see one of these on Coldsnap. The idea of completing Magic's first Block years later deserves to be told.
Fantastic! I cant wait for the next one! And the ending, " I always liked the fatties..." haha
love the new series especially if it means more frequent content!
Omg Love it! Please do More!! :D

My favorite block. Allies were lots of fun to play.
Really like this show a lot!
Brilliant! Do Forgotten Lore for every block!
People used to laugh when I collected the Chandras from Zendikar. Then in my Red Deck of Doom, they stopped laughing when I'd drop their hands and play back all my red spells from my graveyard. Of course, having Valakut out to turn my mountains into firebolts helped a bit.
more lore!!! haha love your vids
Gonna enjoy this series :)
Very cool. Please do more!
6:28 That Conspiracy! So sad I wasn't into magic back then...
awesome new series!
please upload these kind of stuff weekly. :D
