Meep Meepletons is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Wisconsin, a haven for vintage toy collectors and nostalgia enthusiasts alike. The moment you step inside, you're transported back in time to the golden age of toys, where aisles are filled with treasures from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The store has an unmistakable charm, from its wood-paneled walls lined with vintage action figures to the neatly arranged glass cases showcasing rare finds.
At the core of Meep Meepletons' allure is its vast collection of classic toys, including action figures, playsets, and memorabilia from iconic franchises. The store prides itself on curating a selection that appeals to both casual collectors and hardcore enthusiasts. Whether you're hunting for a mint-condition Transformers G1 Optimus Prime or a loose He-Man figure from the Masters of the Universe line, Meep Meepletons has something for everyone.
But the real crown jewel of Meep Meepletons is their extensive Star Wars collection, particularly their revered Kenner Star Wars Cantina playset display. Fans of a galaxy far, far away are immediately drawn to the sight of the vintage Kenner packaging, a symbol of childhood dreams and epic space battles. The Cantina playset itself is a masterpiece, showcasing the gritty, lived-in world of Mos Eisley in stunning detail. Complete with swinging doors, a drink bar, and of course, the infamous Cantina Band, it’s a set that holds a special place in the hearts of Star Wars collectors.
Beyond the Cantina playset, Meep Meepletons also offers a wide array of Kenner Star Wars figures, from beloved characters like Luke Skywalker and Han Solo to rare and sought-after figures like Blue Snaggletooth and Yak Face. The store’s Kenner collection is one of the largest in the region, and it’s constantly being updated with new pieces from estate sales, toy shows, and collector consignments.
Aside from their impressive Star Wars selection, Meep Meepletons is home to a variety of vintage toy lines, from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mego superheroes, and even classic Barbie dolls. Their shelves are stocked with everything from sealed action figures to loose parts bins for those looking to complete their collections or restore old toys. The owners, Greg and Molly Meepleton, are true toy aficionados who bring their passion to every aspect of the store. They're always happy to share stories, offer insights, and even help track down that elusive figure you’ve been searching for.
The store's atmosphere is as much a part of the experience as the toys themselves. There’s a sense of community that flows through Meep Meepletons, with regulars popping in to chat about the latest finds or swap stories of epic toy hunts. The store hosts monthly vintage toy swap meets where collectors can come together to buy, sell, and trade, creating a vibrant marketplace that keeps the spirit of collecting alive.
Meep Meepletons is more than just a vintage toy store-it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It’s the place where childhood dreams are reignited, where collectors can find that long-lost piece of their past, and where the magic of vintage toys continues to thrive in the modern world. Whether you're a lifelong collector or just starting your journey, a visit to Meep Meepletons is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
What toy stood out to you in this video?
the tmnt Neutrinos
Of course the Creature Cantina playset.
Thundercats, centurions, battle beasts, super powers, Rambo... so much toy lines, thanks Pixel Dan for this great video, stay heavy and blessings! 🤘😎
0:22 Boxed CHiPs Copter WHUT 😲
The WWF bone-crunching action figures!!! I still have both versions of the Road Warriors!!
Dave, the owner of Meeps, is a super awesome dude who is very helpful and has been a big help for those looking to sell items or looking to get items for personal collections. Nothing but love for him.
To fix that crack use plastic weld, with a small paint brush. Thanking Toy-polloi.
That's exactly what I thought lol
Hey! That’s the store I buy my stuff from! Nice! Thanks for the Madison rep!
Do you know what the little medieval figures are on the top of the monsters in my pocket shelves?
Duuuude! Those CHiPS vehicles (van and helicopter) were the ones I would've had a tough time passing up! So cool!
Pixel Dan is TRULY OUTRAGEOUS at 6:20
That Michael Jackson doll looks more like Michael Jackson than Michael Jackson.
I love that Kenner Star Wars cantina playset and it's still on my wish list after all these years despite having seen 'Star Wars' in 1977 and starting a Kenner/General Mills Star Wars figure and ship collection in 1978, but never having purchased the cantina.
All of my figures are still intact with their original cloaks, capes, accessories, and weapons with the exception of one missing Jawa gun (Utini!). Most of my ships (including a remote control-operated Jawa sandcrawler) and playsets (including the Death Star space station) are in great shape too.
Yes, that cantina brings back lots of nostalgic memories for those Kenner Star Wars commercials from the 70s and 80s. :)
Awesome stuff! I always love the vintage TV ads that are shown in these videos.
Dave, if the owner of Meeps allowed you to temporarily sign out some of his toys for sale for your video purposes, that could be an interesting business relationship where you would continue to discuss toys and their history with your research and nostalgic commercials while also promoting the Meeps toy store. It could be win-win for both of you, I'm sure. :)
Great little shop. Last time I was there, he had a nice selection of Dino Riders.
Lovely shop 👍🤘
We were long overdue for a shop like this in the area. I got my first carded 82' motu from Meeps
Excellent store!
Yea! You like it too?
@@PixelDanToyHunts yup!
Man, that cantina I got for Christmas at age 4. Great find, Dan.
I went to Freaktoyz in Sheboygan, Wisconsin yesterday! Your channel is actually serving as promotion for these places. 😊 thanks for the heads up.
I’m going to go rewatch your video for that place right now !
Awesome job dan drop a like for you
Used to have the batman film figures awesome sat vid dan 👍
beavis chillin by the gem dolls lol
Some plastic weld could fix the crack.
Didn't even know there was a 90's Stretch Armstrong, I had the original and the Green Monster, him being my favorite

Have you thought in making an interactive map of all those stores that you have visited? In case your followers want to visit them.
I want footage of the day you and Arnold meet!😂
Great deal on the Cantina. The base is the easiest and cheapest part to replace. The backdrop in that condition is worth $99. Nice!
I picked up a cantina complete and with the box,a few years ago. I got it at NYCC, and even appeared on the show Toy Hunter, for a few moments.
I also had that big bird chair growing up I didn't know about the other parts of the set
Man that Petunia Pig glass that was next to the beer glass you looked at. That's from a set sold at Carrols Hamburger chain (later bought out by Burger King). They had a whole set of Loony Tunes glasses and I have all of them except that one!
Nice Place. And it seems they like Garfield...so, extra thumps up👍👍🐈
Nice little store. That pile of limbless figures was funny. Thanks Dan.
Honestly I loved the Superman the movie drinking glass next to the 5 cent beer glass
seems weird without your usual background music :P
Why does Penguin look BIGGER than Superman? LOL
That is cool how much of the Simpsons' world toy line there was. Those old glasses are cool. We have some of those. I know we have one that has Porky Pig mowing with an old 50s mower and his wife is angry because the clippings are falling on her newly painted table ha ha. I keep looking at your Tehcnodrome and the rerelease is coming up soon. I had the Penguin with the launching umbrella. Bravestarr was so cool. I wish I had more than just the skullwalker. The Rambo toys were cool. I wish I had the Batcave from the first movie. Cool, the vintage Cantina! I have been eyeing a few of the mini rigs to go with a few of my figures. Who would be the bartender....Wuher wasn't made then.
I was there maybe 2 days after you. I saw your Instagram post. I ended up picking up some vintage spawn figures in one of the loose figure bins. This store has an amazing collection.
I don't collect GI Joe but seeing Destro's flying desk, I would definitely buy it.
Does this Cantina came with Blue Snaggletooth figure?
Just glossed right over the Madball and Trash Bag Bunch eh?
Kenner Creature Cantina > HasLab TVC Cantina FITE ME
thats a store? I followed them on instagram for a while and never knew
It’s missing a sticker
I feel like it was the dream of every wrestling fan to have a figure that sweats, right?
Didn't they reuse that Cantina playset for a Kenner Western Saloon playset?
Yes, the "Real West Cafe Play Set".
Glasses and girl toys, work on your hook-em-in-intros dude 😆 😴 🛌
Only joking, love these toy hunt videos! More more more!!
At 7:52, can anyone identify what Batman figure that is?
Shame you "yunguns" weren't old enough to experience the original 77' StarWars and seeing those toys filling the shelves at Lionel Playworld.
P.S. If you're any younger than 52 years of age, don't even try to act like you remember that. haha. We know how you Millennials like to act like you all experienced everything.
