I just picked one of these up and I'm glad I saw this video. Youre right there are tons of videos out there on this but none with the simplistic approach you've take which I do like. Nicely done :) thanks

    Cool build.
You could wire an additional ESP32 + ethernet PHY into the DPS and make it remote controllable via ModBus.
The DPS modules measure current with a low side shunt. With earthed power supplies like your switch, this can result in wrong measurements or even worse wrong current regulation when using an earthed load.

Neat idea to power it over POE. I use those power supplies too but I couple them with 48v 10a power supplies because I find I often need the extra power. They also make a 5020 version that works well for higher current motor and ESC testing (sometimes with a battery in parallel).

Hi, I have Question if you don’t mind, I need constant power 1mA - 5mA @ 30v. Load will change resistance gradually. Do You think DPS 5005 will be able to hold such low current? Power supply will be used to make colloidal silver, thanks mark

I'm going to build one of these. Maybe the WiFi module for the Power Supply will do.

I just found your channel, interesting stuff. I have to admit though, when I first heard your voice, I swore this was a shadow channel that the 8bit guy was doing. Your voices are identical!

It always does it if you are a bit too fast to click on a notification.
