Bobbys coke machine was one of best looking cars of all time.
Yea haven't gotten a good look yet, but always loved the Petty Blue (with the Red/Orange STP paint).
My Dad drove down from Rutland Vermont with my late Uncle and myself to watch this live when i was 15, I am a Richard Petty fan and was disappointed when he went out. Great audio and video of this race! Btw my Dad is 90.

Petty ran his car hard to come from as far back as he did. If it didn't break, he probably wins.

Back when men were men, and stock cars were mostly stock production cars.
Every car looked different. Same with F1 and USAC/indy cars in that day.. Now every racing organization cars look identical. They need to bring back Can-Am,though. Huge engined beasts. Never happen now...afraid someone would get hurt with unlimited power. Wtf happened to everything? From '70- until id say '96 was prime everything....especially racing
AJ foyt is on of a kind I'm a Hispanic born in 66 my uncles drag raced so I did too I luv auto racing f1 stock car racing but I luved pony car racing in Riverside gurney was the truth but AJ is my hero and I'm a Puerto Rican dat luv car racing
