  • A newsreel for the Lafranc disaster of 1961 when 33 London Boys and 2 teachers were killed in a Norway plane crash. This reel is taken from the British Pathe reel "A Town in Mourning".
In the video we see the funeral service and mass grave in Croydon, as well as shots of family members, crowd scenes and various other pupils from the school.
Rosalind Jones, sister to Quentin Jones who was one of the boys killed in the tragedy, wrote a book about the boys with profiles written by their families, called "The Lafranc Boys".
