He’s not joking about the size of these guys. After my army days I spent several years in Afghanistan. The Belgian army was there and the little ones were 6ft tall and pretty stout. I’m 6-3in tall and I was on the smaller side
I used to train in rough terrain that 5 mile run in 40 mins(I did in around 45ish) many years back when I was thinking of joining the rangers. Ye rough terrain in the rain is not the same as flat. Even half a mile hill takes away 1-5 miles off your stamina reserve depending on steepness. Even when you level out you still feel tired like you're still running uphill. It takes time to get your heart and breath rate to a steady pace. And before you can, youre already crossing another hill. So basically after the uphill, even when you're going flat or down, you're getting tired almost as bad as if you were running on a slight steepness the whole time never flat or or down. Rough terrain is rough.

I used to train in rough terrain that 5 mile run in 40 mins(I did in around 45ish) many years back when I was thinking of joining the rangers. Ye rough terrain in the rain is not the same as flat. Even half a mile hill takes away 1-5 miles off your stamina reserve depending on steepness. Even when you level out you still feel tired like you're still running uphill. It takes time to get your heart and breath rate to a steady pace. And before you can, youre already crossing another hill. So basically after the uphill, even when you're going flat or down, you're getting tired almost as bad as if you were running on a slight steepness the whole time never flat or or down. Rough terrain is rough.
USA needs a foreign legion as a path to citizenship. Let them patrol borders and take care of the light work around the world.
