    Superb video Mike, Norfolk is such a great place for wildlife photography. I have been to Snettisham, Titchwell Marsh and Stumpshaw Fen, all great RSPB reserves. Just a bit of a drive for me from Shropshire so I tend to go for a few nights

    Well Done, Mike, this really shows video photography at its best. Once again you have put yourself in the right place, with the right plan and the right execution of that plan. I am grateful for your advice and regularly in awe at your images. Your mastery of video is helping me, and many other photographers, to think out of the box. Thank-you

    I'm a bit surprised there wasn't a Peregrine in that big flock of knots. It's early morning, the falcons must be hungry from a night's fasting...

    I look forward to Saturday mornings here in Australia when your videos pop up as regularly as clockwork. I'm slowly compiling a list of places to visit in the UK because of this video Snettisham in Norfolk has just been added. I've never been to that part of the UK. We have a similar spot close to Brisbane which is a very reliable spot for waders. I find these birds very difficult to identify and can't believe how they can fly so close together in the numbers they do without colliding. Keep them coming!

    OMG! What a wonderfull footage. Previously I struggle to appreciate the quality of your footage from GH6, but I realised that it was YT doing some funky things scaling the picture down to 1440p for my 2,5K montor. When I displayed it in 4K on my other - 5K monitor it looks AMAZING! An with that softer light at 120p (180 degree shutter angle?) all that strobe effect disappeared. It was so fluid and pleasing to the eye despite heavy action.

    Wonderful! The Greenshank sequence was amazing!! Thank you Mike! I’m also thinking about the GH6 for video, but hoping that OM will bring a FW update to the OM1 allowing 4K120 some day…

      It will not. Its processor is not optimized for that. This is a hardware limitation.

    Mike Great video - thank you. Panasonic autofocus (contrast based) often works at its best when the camera has "depth from de-focus" information from the lens - which I think is only the case with Panasonic's own lenses. How are you finding the GH6/Olympus lens combination for video autofocus? Malcolm

    • @MikeLaneFRPS
      @MikeLaneFRPS  2 года назад

      I have not really tried to compare AF in video between the 2. But suspect the GH6 is better.

  • @HokKan

    • @MikeLaneFRPS
