Thanks for the note on the common name. Very considerate of you. Great cactus tour my friend!
❤️ thank you Adam!
Succulents and Cacti don't seem to get the appreciation they deserve. Especially for how beautiful and simple they are to care for. Not in all cases, I know. I killed my aloe not long ago 🤦🏽♀️😭 Anyway, great video Becca!
Absolutely!! They are generally pretty easy plants :)
Ive just recently developed an appreciation of desert plants. They are very interesting. The white ghost is my favorite.
They are so very interesting! ❤️🙌🏼
im literally sitting here working on my cactus tour as WE SPEAK 😱 love ur babies. We LOVE A CACTI TOUR 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
😄 it was a fun time!
Thank you for the note on the Senita cactus! It was a great way to make a quick little statement about cultural appropriation without detracting from the video. There are a lot of common names that I think the plant community needs to acknowledge are offensive and stop using them (looking at you tradescantia 👀). Beautiful video! Beautiful cactus! 💚🌵💚
Oh my gosh .... I’ve done some research about the common name for tradescantia and it’s just not cool!!! I feel like the articles I found still don’t talk enough about how problematic it is.
Becca 😑 you have done it again. I just ordered a ghost euphoria!!! you showed me so many plants that i want 😂 but i will continue to watch you haha. Thankyou for another great video!! 💚🌱🌵🌵🌵🌵
😂😂 hahah! Very worth the money I promise!!
White ghost euphorbia is definetly on my Plant Wish List!!! Your's are beautiful!!!
Thank you 😍🙌🏼
Aww...this was a sentimental flashback to your living in Tucson!!! We miss you! Your new videos are of course wonderful and informative, but seeing how you cared for things in our (lack of) humidity, our temps, etc... was always so helpful.
Keep up the great work! A fan of your videos as well as your potting soil!🌵
Love from Tucson! 💚🙌
Cacti are so underrated! I got a prickly pear from someone who was moving during the summer, and it doubled in size just a couple months after being in my home. I love its bunny ears! 🥰
I agree completely! Looove prickly pear ❤️
I'm genuinely impressed you brought them all inside... Love your collection and love your white ghost and all of the plants!
Girl that was so much work 😂 never again Hahahaha
Ghost euphorbia are so mesmerizing 😍 I wish I could find one locally 😭 I might have to buy online for this one have been looking for too long!
It’s worth it for sure! Such prolific growers!
I could send you a cutting
Some cactus are definitely fast growers. I got a tiny barrel cactus a year ago thats almost tripled in size
My mom loves cactus and succulents, I'm more into plants with "traditional" leaves, but seeing your arrangements with different cacti together makes me wanna go propagate some of my mom's plants and make a desert garden. I have 3 succulents but they look kinda sad in individual pots, thank you for this video, it's the inspiration I needed and didn't even know it! 💚🌵
Yess! The little gardens are so cute and fun - putting them together definitely brings up morale ☺️
"I do my best and if they wanna die.. they wanna die." 💀
🤣😭
I adore cactus! They are so cute! Those and trailing plants are my top faves! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for the video, and your cactus collection.
Falling in love with the euphorbia!
I love your earrings! You are such a joy to watch. I love your plants!!!!
Aww thank you!! ☺️❤️
Such a gorgeous cactus collection! I wish I had enough light to have one like that! I will live vicariously through you 😂 Great video!
Hahah thank you!! I’ve got enough for all of us 😂
I Absolutely Love the planter boxes. They really look good. I lived in Chandler AZ for 17 years. My only hands on with cactus was when a jumping cactus jumped into my head. Awesome Video!
Oh my gosh 😭 I’ve got a few jumping cactus experiences too! Hahahah
Love the ghost euphorbia and Rhipsalis paradoxa ! 😍
Yesss😍☺️
Yes! Succulents are my Jam!! Love this vid 😊👌❤
Yay!! Glad you liked it :)
Thank you for taking the time to find and put all the names on the screen! And your hair looks great today! 🙂
aw its not problem! happy to do it because I know cactus names can get lost! haha & thank you very much! :)
@@BeccaDeLaPlants they totally do!
I'm much more of a tropical plant person especially orchids, jungle cacti but when I see some cute desert cacti in a video it makes me want to pick some up lol xD💖💕. I want this one that's fuzzy and clumps with pink flowers bad xD💗. Often contemplate taking a opuntia paddle from various places around town lmao.
Haha aww you should!! They’re fun! ❤️
Love the white ghost euphorbia.
Same here 😍☺️
Absolutely loooooooove your succulent and cacti groupings 😍😍😍 And I love Euphorbias too! I only have the regular green Trigonia variety but I really really want a white ghost one 👻🌵 I would looooove to see a care guide for cacti and succulents because they really intimidate me 😂
😍 I can’t wait till I have a patio and I can get all the cactus. You have an awesome collection!
Hopefully that happens soon!
Great collection! I don't have enough light for a true collection but occasionally try one but now you've gotten me interested in a ric rac! 💚🌿
Yesss Ric rac is awesome! 🙌🏼
Thanks For sharing I enjoyed seeing all your cactus succulent collection
I am a new bee to cactus succulent collection and trying to keep off over wateting.
My favourite is the white ghost. I just started to get into cacti and succulents. I have a few now and more are coming my way
I LOVE the verity boxes! This video is giving me inspiration! 🌿❤️
I'm so glad to hear that!!
Beautiful plants
Thank you for showing us your cactus collection! I love cacti and I don't think they're as appreciated as they should be! I'm not sure if it's an American thing (I'm Australian) because you're so used to seeing cacti everywhere and owning them isn't as exciting, but I can't get enough of cactuses!
I think being around them soo much throughout my life has made me a bit "cactus" blind! haha thankfully in adulthood I see them all and theyre beautiful! So cool that cactus are also in Australia! For some reason, I can't picture them there 😂 (when i think of Aus, I think of beaches hehe but there is certainly much more than that there)
Your Euphorbia Trigona Rubra is gorgeous! 😍
Thank you 😍😍 I love it!
Thank you for the thoughtfulness with which you move through space! Acknowledging things like problematic common names can be a really small but important thing. I have been watching you for several months and have always loved your gentle kindness that's so apparent through your videos.
❤️ thank you so much 😊
Awesome cactus collection.
❤️
I’m in love with your collection, congrats!!!
Thank you!!
So glad I found your channel. Love your vibe 💚
Thank you very much ❤️
I remember when u got that white euphorbia 😍🥰. It is absolutely beautiful!!!
😍😍 it’s fitting in well with everyone else! Hehe
I love blue cacti too.🌵
You are so entertaining to keep me engaged in this long video, keep it up, I love your collection.
❤️❤️
Cacti were my first love before I got into plants! I really love this video! ❤️
Aww that’s great to hear!! :)
Hi Becca! With the rhipsalis (baccifera), they don’t need very high light compared to standard cactus and they like to be watered somewhat often (when almost fully dry)! Hope this helps :)
Okay awesome!! I don’t think I’m watering often enough 🥺 thanks for the help!
Love your cacti collection, especially the ghost euphorbia 🤩
Thank you 😍☺️
Becca De La Plants 🥰
Great video! I love your collection!
Thank you ❤️
That white ghost is simply gorgeous...❤️❤️❤️
I love them so much!
So nice to see you collections and hope to have more succulents in my collections too.
This video made me really happy! You are so funny :)
I can’t wait to do a succulent tour! I freaking love succulents
They’re awesome!! Wish I was better at them 😂
Becca De La Plants I highly recommend Succs For You, she has a great channel about succulents and literally wrote the book on it
Oh I 💚💚💚 your White Ghost Euphorbia!! It is my #1 WISH LIST PLANT!! Never see them in nurseries here in Arkansas! 😕 Love your videos Becca!!
Oh my! I hope you can find one locally soon! They're gorg!
I love all of your cactus plants but I must say that the White Ghost euphoria is my favorite.
Oh yes I agree 😍
I enjoyed watching, very entertaining, thanks for sharing❤️
Glad you enjoyed :)
I live in Colorado and love collecting cactus and succulents! Those jungle cactus at the end are amazing, I need 3 of each lol
hahaha SAME!
Opuntia heaven!! 😍 your gardens are IMPRESSIVE!!!!! Gosh I wish we had the same weather here in Chicago lol 😭
Your white ghost is def my favorite. Wow
NICOLE! I got one from Ted's near-ish you. So I need you to go and film and tour because I miss it.
Knot Dude DONE! (Although, id appreciate it if you came with me 😁 *hint hint)
Hi guys 😂 Nicole just move on down here!!
Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
God I'm so jealous, I hope we get some cool ones up here this year. Need to replace mine that rotted trying to treat mealies. Gorgeous lil dudes
I see succulents (mostly cactus) I immediately very excited! 😍 I have some of mine inside and others outside because Mediterranean weather seems to be good for them! 😂 Also I usually rescue cacti I find at my local home decor shop because they sell them for a few cents once they see they begin struggling and I bring them back. 😄
P.S. - I'm gonna share with you my Rhipsalis experience and you can see what you can use from it! 😁 I have a small one and I keep it in a nice bright spot not right up against a window but close enough and bottom water every 3 weeks at least now in winter and I've have no shedding and the stems feel nice and firm whcih I've heard is a sign that they're getting enough water cause they'll get softer if they need water believe. 😊
Yess they love Mediterranean weather, so fun that you rescue them! Thank you for these rhipsalis tips! That is definitely very helpful. I wasnt sure how often I should be watering 😄
Thank you so much for the cactus video. I love cactus and succulents. I do live in a less than optimal climate for them and still learning how to keep the alive in the winter. It was just a few months ago that I started a collection of tropical plants, and have plants in most every room of our house. I really love the white euphorbia. I the Midwest, I have been unable to find it. We are hoping to get to a warm climate this winter, and I am hoping to find one that I can transport on the plane. Well thank you for sharing all your knowledge. God bless.
My fav it the very animated cacti!
I want all your Cactu💕🐝🌵
spiralis amazing !!!
Very interesting video, your totem pole is a Myrtillocactus geometrizans, I just started my collection of cacti a few months back, and finally I was able to get a candy barrel cactus, I'm also trying to increase my Euphorbia collection and to learn as much as possible about what I keep, your video was very entertaining!
Gorgeous succulents and cacti I’m a huge collector of them, also nothing wrong with the name totem pole cactus I’ve never thought of it in the way you did, interesting 🤔
I’m so excited you did a cacti video!! I’m confident in the tropicals that I have but cacti and succulents are so new to me, and I’m PUMPED to learn about them! 😍😍 #boobcactus #thatspriralone
They’re so much fun!!! Welcome to the cacti club :)
I love those earrings!
Thank you!! @plantdosage on instagram :)
Both my parents are from Tucson and I visited grandparents there all the time! Love tucson ❤ and I love cactus! I have a new Senita cactus that I'm so excited about and I'm craving more, but I think I have to wait until I move to my new place with better sunshine. Hello from next door (Albuquerque, NM)
Oh hello! I have lots of family in southern NM near the white sands :) very cool!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants Small world!
I know the video is about your cactus collection but can we talk about how gorgeous your hair is???
My favorite is your White Ghost Euphorbia, the one single plant by its self in pot. They are all nice plants though. Never find Cacti like that in the Carolinas.
PS I’m trying very hard to watch the commercials. 😀
I like that one the most too!! It’s gorgeous ☺️ & thank you so much!!! No need to watch them all, I really appreciate your support ❤️
You remind me of Sailor Mars because of your hair 😄 nice cacti and video!
Thank you!! Haha🥰
just got a euphorbia ghost and it has a baby :,) very excited to have 2
Very nice vid. I only just learned there is a cactus with misnomer old man cactus. VERY cool. Love it really m anyway nice vid. I enjoyed it very much
Thanks for watching :)
I love all cactus! Of course. 😉 But I like your jungle cactus. I have a hard time making mine grow. 👍🏼
Thank you! They're fun!
Thank you so much for the correction to Senita Cactus, I’ve learned something important and finally have a name I’m happy to use.
That Ghost Euphorbia is one of the most beautiful plants I think I’ve ever seen! You’re so lucky! I’m in love with cacti but I’m a realist - in the cold, dark, wet U.K. they don’t stand much of a chance. I get so upset when I lose a plant through unrealistic expectations so I just have the one little Euphorbia acrurensis, who I love dearly.
Absolutely! & yes there is a certain amount of realism we must have with plants in order to not kill each one we buy.. glad you have a little one you can enjoy even so!
I'm so jealous of all your white ghost euphorbia! Here in northern Italy are quite hard to come by especially in a smaller size which is all I can fit my house 😅
Oh man!! :( I hope you kind find one someday!
Becca De La Plants Thank you! I think that at some point in spring when I can keep plants outside I’ll just go for a big one and I’ll deal with its size next winter 😂
oooo i got the idea of a blue cactus garden too i'm just waiting for spring to come around to do it!
Yesss :))) Exciting!
I'm not a big cactus fan, but it was so interesting. And now I can't take that white gost euphorbia out of my head lol
It’s gorgeous!
white ghost euphorbia has been on my wishlist for so long, i'm just waiting for the right moment and the right deal! i'd love to find one locally
Absolutely!! I love the pursuit of find plants local ❤️
Love your earrings.
Thank you!’
Hey 🌱🌿🌱 my grandmother was THE plant lady... she had cactus of all sizes and shapes . Way before they were cool here in Alabama. Sadly I lost her in 2000. The reason for the back story is that she always told me that the Joseph's Coat Opuntia was the only natural variegated cactus. I'm not saying this is fact but I've always thought so because she told me a million times. Just thought I'd tell you since you featured it on this video. I wish youtube would let me send pictures of mine that's from hers all those years ago. Happy Tuesday 🌿🌱🌿
Oh wow!! I would LOVE to see yours now! what a beautiful memory you have of her. ❤️ I wouldn’t doubt that that’s true! The variegation definitely looks different on that one.
All your cacti children are so beautiful 💝💝
Thank you 🥰
White ghost is my plant goal for this year. Need it mah life. 😁
They're absolutely gorgeous!
When spring comes around, chop off the outstretched portion of the Pilosocereus, put hormone powder (or cinnamon) on the wound, and leave it laying down on a table until it's fully callused.
When the bottom will feel hard and rubbery, put it back into the planter (maybe prop it up with toothpicks) and it will root and grow into a new plant.
The old plant meanwhile will put out plenty of pups around the cut!
I probably will do that!! More plant babies!
Now I want to make a cactus/succulent garden! Come on Spring/Summer what are you waiting for!? Lol 😂
Yesss I agree!!!
I have a rhipzalis baccifera named luda chris and mines is doing well.. it's in a plant hanger infront of my north facing window... I just water it when the soil is dry...which takes forever. It likes moist soil. He is happy. And yes it sheds if you touch it alot...
awesome! Thanks :)
I just got the ghost cactus. Any tips on care and common problems to look out for?
Hi, I'm brand new to plants. And I have the rik rak one and I looove himm, had for about a year n half mayyyybe 2 , anyway seems to do well wherever I put it.. but it's growing things that do not look like the rest of him , at first I thought ok new growth, but it's sooo different. Some are these long skinny like strands, with these little cactus looking things on the tips .. I DnT knw if hard to explain I guess. Just wondering if this normal ...? Also mine is nowhere neer to your size , should I be doing something more to get more growth ??
Love your collection! So cuuuute!🌵 I never used to like Cactus but I think my mom recently started my love for them except I do try not to buy the ones with a lot of pricks. Way to dangerous haha...as I noticed in your video you got poked. eek! I actually bought a really cute mini cinnamon cactus (Opuntia rufida minima monstrose?) and it turned out to be not so cute when it was throwing it's thorns (or spines?) at me everywhere and it's hard to get off. All I did was move it. I ended up tossing it before it got bigger. Dangerous! There should be a warning label😄
I've heard (I don't have experience) that when you have a large pot with cacti/succulents in it that you shouldn't water the soil to saturation as we do with other plants. I remember them rationing out the water with a syringe to the soil around each plant. That way there isn't a large volume of wet soil to cause root rot. I'm not sure how well this works, I just remember seeing it somewhere.
That’s a really really great tip!!! I don’t water that way but I absolutely should 🙌🏼
We love a girthy cactus 🌵😂
LOL YES!
Wow they are awesome but grow slow. I have 2 small spikey ones not gonna pursue any more coz you know they are spikey! Nice earrings 💚👍
Hahaha yes they are very spikey!
They definitely are not the plants for the impatient. Lol
every Diva on the stage is standing in the spotlight ;)...otherwise is no diva...so yes more light please ;)
Great video! I live in Phoenix and I am looking for a white ghost euphoria and a few other cacti. Do you have any nursery suggestions? I am also open to traveling to Tucson!
Mesquite valley growers has them in tucson pretty often, but also you could definitely find them in Phoenix at cactus shops.
Love the Ghost Euphorbia. Can’t find one around here. Just east of Toronto.
Don't bother coming west. There aren't any on this side either
dang!! wishing you luck in your searches!
I want a rhipsalis paradoxa so bad! Actually I want all the rhipsais/ jungle cactus I can get my hands on 😂🤷🏻♀️
What is this floppy prickley pear cactus? I can’t find anything that looks like it.
Aloes are related to onions so makes sense also why some people can be allergic to aloe if they are to onions
14:33 I have a jelly bean boi similar to that one but not blue and omg it was dying quicklyyyy lol I almost threw it out but decided to leave it in a corner in front of my south facing window and he’s doing okay now 😅 but I’ll never be able to repot him 😆
Yay!!! I’m glad it’s doing better 🙌🏼
Cacti are so cooky lookin, I love it lol sadly I think all my prime real estate is taken / my apartment can get as low as 50 degrees 😭
Aww :( too bad!
I didn't know Burro's Tail would grow new branches from the bald spots! I was given one that was really struggling last fall and it's put out quite a bit of new growth but it looks so ugly on top. That gives me some hope that when I hang it outside come spring it'll fill out some.
I didn't know they would either! It was a surprise for sure!
WOW!!! Euphorbia is super cool!!! I love all of your homemade box of goodies, they are so beautiful!!!!! About Rhipsalis Paradoxa, I watch Sharina Tallada a plant queen such as yourself youtube extraordinaire & she lives over in Cali. She has places she knows of that have amazing bouquet of green branches of Rhipsalis! Check her out! The Rose Bowl & San Diego has a Fri,Sat, Sun Bowl that has flea markets & super fun plants, cacti, euphorbia etc...My whole family went to go & check out the Orca's at Sea World after my Hubby came back from deployment. My Hubby got in free, Military does have some amazing bonuses! :) Good Luck!
I love Sharina!!! She’s so so fun. :)
