sully missed out on a massive oppurunity he could've trapped yos king and forced yo to help him win and yo could never betray sully if he trapped his king.
At least for a long while... He could ally him but lock the gate... but he also would look out the whole time for Yo not sending a rescue force down there to get the king back out from the blackmailer then... and a few walls fall pretty fast if you then have the needed army for it.

Put some towers around the king and the king will die immediately if Yo tries to rescue

This one really highlights the importance of denying resources. Easy to say in hindsight, but the massive amount of trees let this go on way longer than it had to.

Tanks did all that diplo, letting his teammate 1v2 for an hour just to be 3rd. If he just commited to playing with margo, which was really the only logical play he couldve tried for 2nd
The thing is that Margougou was a liability - he was dying the entire game, and needed to be rescued more than a few times.
I used to watch T90 pretty religiously up until maybe 6/7 years ago? Ended up clicking on a different video recently, and these have just been great. This was gold, Dave is a great addition to the cast, personally I feel the two of you work well together and the cast might’ve gotten (cough cough) a little ~stale~ about half way given how things played out lol
I watched a 2,5hour game, and all I got was just 2 memes at the end.

I sort of can't believe, but find it very hilarious that Sully moved his king to the exact same death-corner that he killed Yo in and just... didn't prep any military and put his King in a castle out in the open?
I mean if you want to take the corner that's one thing, but you sort of needed to commit to it. Strange choices. But I know how hard it can be to make those calls in the heat of a game.

It seems that the last four players were as confused as the casters, and the rest of us, really. This game was top diplomacy.

Tanks could have won twice over if he just made a wonder or won the 2v2 with Margougou. Having 40k gold as the best late game civilisation and losing is kinda sad.
The best part was when Kamigawa sniped the King.

Really glad to see Sully get kicked out of the game early. Hate when we finally get pros in these games and they get jumped on early.
Players should have random names and only during casting we can see the name.
This is why some games with pros vs fans do it like this. So the pros don’t get teamed from the jump
I kinda agree. Every game I watched, the pros got really burned by simply existing in the same room as these guys.
I feel kinda bad, but they should also practice diplomacy more because it's clear a lot of them are kinda bad at it 11

@T90: your introductions are inconsistent. How difficult is it? Player name, player colour, player civilization and then any other player trivia. You don't announce the player civilization sometimes. You leave out player colour sometimes. Why?! Note I am not always watching the screen and may be only consuming the audio. It's annoying that you keep getting the player introductions butchered. And then I have to stop the video, rewind and watch it all over again!
I understand it's frustrating that the video is hard to follow, but it might be designed with visuals that explain key parts. Some content creators assume viewers are watching the screen, so without the visuals, it can feel like you're missing important details. Maybe try watching it with the visuals, and it might make more sense!

Oh man, you're in for a treat. If you liked the chaos of diplomacy games, T90 has a playlist of his community games which lets you binge watch them so easily.
A lot of them are like feature length movies with how dramatic they can be. Becoming familiar with the players in those games will give you a new appreciation for this tournament.
