MIRMI is an Integrative Research Institute (IRI) that bundles scientific excellence in research, innovation, and education in the field of robotics and machine intelligence across the Technical University of Munich.
Our mission is to develop breakthrough methods and technologies for solving the grand societal challenges of our time. We focus on the future of the environment, work, health, and mobility by disrupting the boundaries in robotics, perception, and artificial intelligence. Our mission is fueled by bottom-up focus groups that allow interdisciplinary teams of scientists and innovators to pursue high-risk, high-gain initiatives. By creating a collaborative critical mass environment for world-class research and teaching at one of Europe’s leading universities, MIRMI is a crystallization point for machine intelligence, reaching far beyond the Munich ecosystem.
