Using magic in the presence of a muggle is against the rules. But not using magic in general right? So, harry practicing Lumos wouldn't be an issue. The real question is... Why wasn't Harry even squinting looking at a super bright Lumos Maxima??!
Love your videos! The only problem with harry not seeing peter earlier is that peter was missing, hiding from black and crookshanks. However I have found a new love for fred and george never telling a soul that ron sleeps with some kid named peter every night
Love your videos. But the last plot hole of how did Sirius get good to buy Harry the firebolt was explained in the books. Although it was confusing. He wrote a letter and sent it with Crookshanks to the bank.
For #1 I have believed all these years that the map will not show the names of the marauders to anyone but the marauders unless they wish to be found (or something along those lines). This is why Fred and George never saw Peter sleeping next to Ron but Harry (who had the same genes as James) and Lupin were able to see Peter. Since we don't know how the map actually works and how the map is made to insult Snape, I always imagined that the map will never reveal a marauder unless they will be revealed or if another marauder looks at the map (or their descendent like Harry).
I actually like to think that because the map is an object, as Mr Weasley says, that can think for its self, that it would have a sense, at least a little, of who’s possession it’s currently in, and in that, after the method of acquiring it in the first place, it makes me smile just a little to simply imagine the map decided that it would be a great idea to tell Fred and George exactly how to use it.
@@Bongsandquotesilike Yes. It would read intent, not listen for a specific incantation. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" sounds like a fun thing Fred or George would say for the hell of it. The map could have revealed itself on those words as a mark of kinship.
The time turners are definitely proof of why most of us don't consider Cursed Child as canon. As for why Hermione was allowed, it had to be on Dumbledore's orders. He was already well underway in getting the trio where he wanted them to be for his future plans.
The Weasley twins figured out the phrase to unlock the Marauder's Map through trial and error. Perhaps the map flickered to life every time one of the words in the phrase was used, so it was simply a matter of watching to see what words caused the map to react, and through trial and error they put the complete phrase together. Another possibility is the map itself was created by 4 of the most mischievous students every to go to Hogwarts, so the map itself was infused with a desire for mischief. Thus, it wanted the twins to figure out how to use it and probably helped them by giving them clues.
I think the Marauder's names only appear to the other marauders. The only reason Remus could be seen was because he was a professor at the time. I'm talking about the books, by the way.
Not only The Marauders, but also people who had their blood in their veins, like children, and that's why Harry was able to see Peter, because James had created the map :)
Well… Harry Potter is also prongs. He has the exact same patronus and there’s a direct line. This is a pretty good theory. Only marauders can see marauders - and Harry is a marauder because of his dad. None is the other marauders had children - he’s the only one.
Yep like she planned on making Peter Pettigrew the one to kidnap and impersonate Alister Moody but realized he would be easily spotted with the Marauder's Map.
7. I’ve heard two theories about why Fred and George didn’t notice Pettigrew. The first is they didn’t check on Ron often enough to notice, and didn’t know who Pettigrew was. The other is that only the Marauders can see each other on the map. Harry only sees Pettigrew on the map in the film. 6. I don’t know much about the cursed child, but I subscribe to the book canon that if you use a time turner to go back, you’ve already been back. 5. We don’t actually know that Voldemort never tired to use or create time turners. Maybe he did. 4. I don’t count that movie scene as canon, but yeah, unless he had some special permission to use that spell (which is possible if it was homework) then he broke wizarding law. 3. Rowling has confirmed that Mrs. Norris is just a cat, but that doesn’t mean she always was a cat. Perhaps she was a maledictus. 2. If the map could know that Snape was the one reading it, it could probably tell that Fred and George were cut from the same cloth as the marauders. The map itself probably gave them the password. 1. Sirius ordered the broom by mail.
Head Cannon: Only marauders and their kin e.g. Harry can see themselves on the map. This would be a safety measure they built in. This would explain why the twins never saw Peter's name pop up.
@@saphiramystique2086 I thought of this. We can say it’s because Lupin had opened the map and in his haste forgot to wipe it before running out of his office. Had Snape opened the map and actually figured out the right incantation to make it work he wouldn’t be able to see the marauders.
For Wormtail one I always thought why would Fred and George keep an eye on Percy or Ron via Map. I don't think the Twins kept an eye on people via Map. I feel like they used it for rule breaking only. Not to mention they have a bunch of other names on that map that he could have blended in with. Or if they saw the name on the Map maybe they thought it was a malfunction. Then the one with Harry's Broom that was explained away a bit at the end of POA. Sirius gave a note to Crookshanks to give to the people at the QQ to have the money withdrawn from his vault at Gringotts to purchase the broomstick
I think that Fred&George could have found the password because of Peter Pettigrew he might have heard Fred&George talking about the Marauder’s map who knows where perhaps in the common room and then decided to let them use it
An answer for the password of the marauders map could be: In the books, Snape tried with some spells and questions to unravel the secrets of the map, and the map answered with written words (and insulted Snape). Maybe Fred and George tried in asking some questions and managed to get the secret from the map itself. For Mrs Norris eyes: In the film, maybe they made some shots afterwards with a different cat. But what I think is that Mrs. Norris might be a type of Maledictus (like Nagini) or transformed human, since she is shown on the marauders map. And there is no other point inside the books, the map shows an animal. Only humans or transformed humans like Pettigrew. She also has a bond with Filtch like the bond between Voldemort and Nagini.
Fred and George not seeing Pettigrew’s name could be they just never looked into the dorms on the map, and Pettigrew would only be sleeping in Ron’s bed at night, I'm sure they probably did sneak out of the dorms at night sometimes, but must the time they would probably be in bed asleep themselves not looking at the map. The book explains how Sirius ordered the broom, he had Crookshanks take an order form to the owl post for him, and ordered it using Harry’s name but told them to take the money from his vault. I can see the Goblins not letting the Ministry know who is having money taken out of their vaults after all the Goblins controlled Gringotts, not the Ministry.
Like Harry’s watch, it may have been a Prewitt hand me down that was last used by Charlie. That would explain why it was still in tact despite Charlie having a new wand.😊
Perhaps the map sensed the Weasley twins’ and deemed them worthy to know the secrets. I imagine a magic map made for malarkey, that went unused in a desk for years, would want a bit of fun. Also, for the first one, perhaps the Wormtail, being an original maker/owner of the map, knew how to hide from it magically?
Regarding the maps password, it probably didn’t matter what the password or words were but the intent of the user. Other magic objects like the mirror of desire work like that.
I just have an idea for the 1st pothole: (it fits only for the books though, not for the movies as a few things were changed there)::: The code that is well known for the map only shows you when u are in human form, this is what the marauders would have wanted if the map was ever seized or lost, And to reveal your name even when in animagus form, there will be an extra key word that only the four marauders know and not even the twins ever figured it out. So, on the night of pettigrew's escape, lupin used the special keywords as a nostalgia remembering old moments and surprisingly saw both sirius and peter on the map, left it on the table without closing it, which led to Snape see everything too. In the books harry never sees the name of peter on the map unlike the movies, (or am i wrong? It's been a couple years since I last reread it.)
How Fred and George could've guessed the password: they were arguing back and forth on what it could be and one of them probably accused the other of not wanting to be up to no good. Which then prompted the accuse to say "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good" with some choice words probably after it lol
I think its possible that the Order of the Phoenix had secret safe houses that were left abandoned after the First Wizarding War and Sirius likely stayed in one of them. It could also be that those safehouses would of had money stashed in them in case of emergencies. Also Sirius was able to sneak into Hogwarts and evade detection from staff and the ghosts. Whose to say he couldn't have snuck into Gringotts and stole the money, or taken it out of his family's vault? Quirrell was able to break into one of the most secure vaults in the bank when he attempted to steal the Philosopher's Stone for Voldemort. If Sirius had the key to his family's vault, I don't think it would have been that hard for him to sneak into the bank at night to make a secret withdrawal.
Sirius had Crookshanks take an order form to the owl post for him and ordered the Firebolt by mail using Harry’s name but had the money for it taken from his vault, Sirius explains that to Harry in a letter he sends him at the end of the book when he tells him he bought the broom for him.
We know that the Blacks were a family of dark wizards. As such, they had to know that the aurors were likely to catch them in some scheme and they might have to duck and run at any time. In addition to safe houses that the law didn't know they owned, they probably had large stashes of cash hidden in remote places that they could go to in an emergency. As the last surviving Black, Sirius had control of Kreacher, who he could send to retrieve any of it. No matter how much they hated each other, if Sirius commanded, Kreacher had to obey. If Sirius commanded his silence, Kreacher couldn't reveal Sirius' hiding place either.
1. Remember when the map was insulting Snape? It’s not a hard sell to suggest that the map helped Fred and George open it. 2. Probably the map was designed to only show the Marauders to each other, particularly when transformed. 3. I’ve often wondered this about time turners. You could go back under a disillusionment charm and observe a crime to know who was guilty. 4. The magic outside of school thing is down to this movie having a godawful director.
I always thought you had to beva marauder to see the names of the marauders on the map. So Peter Pettigrew never showed up until the map thought Remus was using it.
On the odds of the Weasleys figuring out the map, I just have to, again, refer to another famous fantasy universe and ask how unlikely it was that two halfling fishermen would stumble upon The One Ring at the bottom of the Anduin after centuries of it being lost. Fate, in fantasy, has a habit of working in strange ways.
Didn't Sirius send in the order form with Crookshanks telling them what he wanted, who to send it to, and which vault to take the money from? I'm pretty sure that what he tells Harry in the letter to him that was carried by the tiny owl 'Pig' to the Hogwarts Express.
Sirius getting gold is simple. Black could easily have apparated into the apartment and sent Kreacher to do his bidding with specific instructions on who he could talk with and what he could say/ask.
I've heard that Fred and George were able to guess the Marauders Map password because they tried multiple passwords through trial and error and the map sensed they were the spiritual successors to the Marauders and gave them hints whether they were closer or further from the actual password? I don't remember where I heard it but I thought that's official explanation.
I always figured Sirius stole the money from somewhere (but remember, he was out of the country in the books so maybe other countries weren't looking for him) and did like a mail order thing for Harry. My question is: how did he end up getting his wand back? Wouldn't it be in evidence or something? And really, if Azkaban is a life sentence why don't they destroy the wands of the inmates upon conviction?
I mean in the books serious did say he made an order for the firebolt disguises as a dog with an order form for it. And goblins aren’t very friendly with wizards so I doubt they would say anything if money is taken out of his account out of nowhere it is still his money
I don't think the time turners could quite do what you consider. I was, in fact, pleasantly pleased to find JKR did a fantastic job handling time travel. It's important to note that Hermione and co. did *not* change the past. Everything they did, had *already* happened. Although they were warned about it, it's also quite possible that, in fact, you *can't* do so. So, how do you save someone who died? Do borrow from Who, once it's happened, it's a "fixed point". You can only save them if you already have.
The time-turner didn't change what happened. It's a time paradox, if you come back in time and "change" something, you were always there, the things happened the way they happened because you were there. Even Dumbledore saying "more than one life can be spared" was already partial, since everything already happened. He knew Buckbeak was alive, but hermione needed him to go to the astronomy tower and save sirius (which at that point still did't happen). This is proven by the stones hermione throw, they appear both times the scene is showed.
The map one is easy. Obviously the marauders left the map at the school. Why is it out of likelihood they enchanted it to identify trouble makers and reveal itself to them?
last one is explained in a letter, he turned himself into a dog, sent a note to retrieve gold for his chamber in exchange of the gift and continue his travels, Goblins ignore whatever happens with the wizards, so they would not care about the chamber of a murderer getting gold extracted
Fred and George could of quite easily figgured out the password I wouldn't say it's 1T to 1 with them generally because of their personalities would be something they would think of when trying different passwords. With Sirius and money I expect dumbledore would of helped him out. He did keep tabs on him after all
My theory for the Marauder’s Map is that it had a secret, unintended mind of its own - it would reveal itself to someone who is worthy in the eyes of the Marauders. So because the Weasley boys (Fred and George) were so similar to them, it revealed itself / a way to open it.
For the last one about serious black buying the firebolt. I always thought that since gringos was run by goblins. That gringots just didn't care that serious black was a criminal. So when he requested to use his money. Gringots was like sure why not.
I think if you use time turner and go back in time but the main problem is after you done your task you have to live in that time and complete all the remaining hours/ years/ etc and you have to live in past you can't go back in future.... You can reverse the time but can't forward it.... It's my thoughts
Forget the time travel questions. It's a paradox. In order to go back in time to prevent something bad from happening, that bad thing has to happen. And forget any inconsistencies. While Azkaban was stylishly beautiful, director Alfonso Cuaron had no interest in the story. He wanted to take the final confrontation out of the Shrieking Shack and stick it in a graveyard. 🤦♀
4:46 No, Harry didn't use a spell when reading under the sheets, he used a flashlight. I finished reading Prisoner of Askaban just last week. He didn't use a spell then. Not in the book anyways. Maybe that's what he did in the movie? 🤷♀️ 8:37 .... That's in the book too. It's not a plothole. End of the book he said he filled out an order form, sent it in under Harry's name but had the gold removed from his own (Serius') vault. Which still held money in it. Because just like with prisoners in real world, the government doesn't just take over their money or accounts.
In the fourth one,in the book Harry actually used a flashlight, not a wand. That's one of the things that would be better not changed in the films,in my opinion.
Sirius either put an order in and as godfather and potential power of attorney in being the only legal guardian of Harry's and the Goblin races subsequent liklihood to steer as clear from the politics/laws of the Wizarding world as a whole ( or at least turning a blind eye and demonstrated by them admitting access to known criminal families to their vaults & corridors).. they let it him retrieve his own galleons or apply for the sum from Harry's Vault.. or Dumbledore and Sirius were in contact, if minimal, throughout Harry's life, Albus and the Fidelius Charm surrounding the Potters comes to mind in that he -Albus- would have known it was not in fact Sirius to have betrayed the Potters and once he escaped Azkaban the mail could fly freely and so Dumbledore, as demonstrated by McGonnegal and again being legal guardian at least while Harry attended Hogwarts term times would have retrieved the funds for him from either Vault potter or Black..
A theory why Fred and George didn’t see Peter on the map is only the marauders could see each other on it. Harry has James blood so he could see Peter on it
Causality. The time turners do not break causality. You cannot go back in time and change your past. You’d go back in time and find out you had already changed your past, or simply everything you do in the past will not change the present. If you have no memory or meeting yourself in the past, then you won’t do it in the future.
everybody always misses this one but its more of a logical error than plot hole, When Lupin takes the map from Harry and says this is a map straight to you but if Harry had the map wouldn't he have to get to harry to get the map
I think the Weasley twins just kept trying different phrases for a while then managed to stumble onto the password, maybe getting feedback from the map as they got closer.
on 7 , what if the map only showed them in human form. makes sense he assumed he was safe in the middle of the night and probly got him away from crookshanks
The twins often swore they were up to no good. Goblins don't care who gets money out of the bank as long as it's their vault. Percy had a heavier load than Hermione and did better, so it is probably not uncommon for responsible students to get a time turner.
When Harry and Hermione have to use the time turner, Hermione clearly states that they CANNOT be seen by anybody, but then how was she using it? She had to be in 2 classes at once and that would made her visible for a lot of people… I dont understand this plothole…
How did the twins got the pass? It just sounds like something they would have said randomly, jocking, imagine this situation They find a weird paper, is blank, I don't remember but it might have absorbed ink, like the Voldemort notebook, or just be a weird empty paper, then they joke saying that it could be a secret map, "oh yeah, imagine a map that would only show itself if we say we swear that we are up to no good" I can see that scenario as possible, but a way more likely scenario is the fact the map is sentient, it specifically called out Snape when he tried to force it open, is a shame JK Rowling didn't saw the obvious answers of her own world, I like the one were they get it by accident just because is something I can see them jocking about, even if it wasn't like I described, they could very well have tried once, got that it had a secret and password from the map responses and then just tried many things and in a fit said the words, I see it more as an oversight than a plot hole
Wasn't it like this that the marauders can only be seen in the map in their animal form by people who know they are animagi? I don't get the time turner thing either. And Percy, Bill and others with more NEWTS would have needed one unless the rules for class-taking and timetables we're changed since then...
I had no idea Sirius Black was a convicted criminal! For some reason, I'd thought being tossed into Azkaban without a trial meant that he had never been convicted of a crime.
since filch is a squib, has there ever been a theory that mrs. norris is his wife but she was a maledictus who turned into a cat and he couldn't part with her so he chose to care for her?
Video idea for you to do: What additional effects do spells have that are not seen in the movies? For instance, what else can the patronus charm do besides ward off dementors?
I always assumed the map told them. I mean when snape tried to open it and t responded to him specifically. The map like a hog warts painting has some awareness
As far as the map password goes, it does not seem unlikely to me that the twins were trying to get the map to react and, when they weren't successful and getting frustrated, said something like, 'oh, come on work - we (I) solemnly swear we're up to no good - you can trust us.'
I think they had other items that had secrets revealed and after a few insults from the map, Fred and George proved their worth with some of their shenanigan stories and received the password.
I don’t find this a plot hole tbh, I agree I could easily see Fred and George saying something like this. Maybe the map reveals itself for pure hearted trouble makers who knows lol
Given that the map recognized Snape when he was trying to expose it, it doesn't seem extreme that the map recognized Fred and George for what they were and explained itself.
@@BobbyFlay14 I prefer the idea they were using the parchment as notepad to drop down nasty tricks and joke to plan out, since the ink goes away and the evidence will be erased, bemused the map offer more advice and finally revealed it secrets
Fred and George nicked the map from Filch's office in their first year, but I think it may have taken them a while to find out the password. I imagine between their first and second year at school, it may have been a pet project of theirs to unlock the map. They could have asked around the school and caught a lucky break when one of the nosy ghosts who spied on the Marauders decades ago or Peeves the Poltergeist revealed its secret to them.
I could only imagine Sirius contacting Kreacher, as he is rightfully his, to retrieve some Gallions from the family vault. (somehow Kreacher had to survive on his own for at least 13 years and I can't imagine he got free food and stuff to maintain the house the best he could) He would buy the broom and adress it to Harry Potter at Hogwarts
It says that Crookshanks put in the order and said to take t from his Vault, and vaults have numbers, so only the Goblins would know and they don't care who it is they just do as they say
For the last plot hole, it's explained in the book. Sirius puts the order in by owl order and gets Crookshanks to take it to the post office. I assume Crookshanks also gives him the owl order form
@@trent_king Sirius noted that in the letter he wrote Harry. Hermione's cat helped him send owl order. However I still find it very strange. Since the gold was taken from his bank account, the Ministry would have known it, no matter who took the money.
Fred and George seeing Ron sleeping with a dude named Peter Pettigrew every night and just casually never mentioning it nor minding it has got to be the most ironic plot hole in the entire history of plot holes 💀💀🤣😅
The twins probably don't care where Ron is and wouldn't look for his name, they would only check for teachers, headmaster, filch, and others that would get them in trouble.
@@brianabc83 That's what I always assumed too, they never bothered looking in the dorms on the map, and though I'm sure they did sneak out some nights, most nights the twins were probably in bed asleep not looking at the map, to see where anyone was sleeping.
I suspected the map password wasnt really a password. Rather the flesh and blood twins had a conversation, through print, with the Maurauders, and to convince the Mauraders that they were worthy of the map, they decided to swear to it, which satisfied them and unlocked its abilities. While the twins took it as a password, any similar honest pledge of mayhem would work.
I always thought the map helped the twins figure it out. At first, they must have thought it was a joke map, designed to insult the user, but as they fiddled with it, the magic may have responded to their own mischievous ways and guided them to the correct words. "What does this parchment even do?" "What do you want it to do?" "I dunno, anything?" "Are you up to no good?" "Depends on who's asking." "Do you swear you're up to no good?" I dunno, something along those lines.
I always thought that the map's password was different initially and the twins changed it to "i solemnly swear I'm up to not good". Ooorrrrrrr... the twins made enchantments to discover / reveal how to open it. Maybe the map talked to the twins like Tom Riddle's diary spoke to Harry. Idk. As Something like that. EDIT: hahaha...I'm laughing as this possibility came to mind: imagine if Peeves, after realizing the twins had the map (that maybe he saw Sirius, James, Petter and Remus use in their years at Hogwarts; told them something like: "uh, you need a password to open it" imagine the twins go: "yeah!? What's it Peeves!" And begging Peeves for days and him finally telling them the password. 🤣 And about Sirius' money. Well, maybe he had some galleons in his old room. Maybe he had stolen galleons to people in 'diagonalley' disguised as someone else or as a dog. Is not hard to take a small bag of money as a dog. But maybe these theories are too much of a reach. But to imagine these events take place makes me giggle.
This one goes for the books, too: why didn't Hermione ever use the Time Turner to keep herself rested? She literally had a time travel device at her disposal so there was no reason why she needed to spend the whole year run ragged. So long as she was careful enough to time her naps when the dorms were empty (and come on, it's Hermione, diligence is second nature), there should have been no chance of her getting caught. Granted, that'd also mean that at times there would be THREE Hermiones in the castle, and maybe more than two incarnations at a time _is_ an issue we were never made aware of, but the way it was presented it doesn't seem it should be a problem. And yes, "most wizards don't have an ounce of logic", but that didn't apply to Muggle-born Hermione...although all the pitfalls of being a teenage girl _did,_ so maybe that's why. Or Rowling just didn't really think the time travel thing through too thoroughly.
Time turners don’t work that way. It ages you each time you use it so you have to use it sparingly. You’re not even allowed to use it for extra study time, just time to get to your classes.
I like to think Fred and George never saw Peter, because they were never looking for Ron on the map. They would have been looking out for teachers and passageways and such, not his brother in the dorm with no point of interest on the map. Harry saw Pettigrew because the rat ran past Snape as Harry was watching Snape. So if the twins did see Peters name at any time, not in the dorm, they would pass it off as another student or something. Afterthought edit: being basically a sentient object, I think it might have known Peter was a traitor to the Marauders and may have been more than willing to show his position to anyone in hopes he get revealed.
Harry actually never saw Peter. It was only in the movies. I have a theory that only marauders can see each other in the map, and anyone else can't. This explains how Lupin saw Peter, but others not.
This is what I thought, seems most rational that they weren't looking to see where Ron was at and they didn't know who Peter Pettigrew was so they weren't concerned. They most likely did not know the story of Peter Pettigrew and how he was involved with Lilly and James Potter murders.
I once was told that the marauders map was able to "see" within in soul of the reader, which would make sense considering when Snape tried to read it it insulted him (which in this case was probably another spell directly for Snape but the map still seems to be able to tell who tries to read it). That way the map would've revealed its password to Fred & George (as they shared very similar character traits as the marauders)
My headcanon for the Marauders Map is that the map itself communicated the password to them via writing on the front, as it could tell they were mischief makers, the same way it knew Snape was nearby, and made fun of him.
Thanks for watching folks! Which of these did you know about? Did I miss any? Leave a comment down below!

It’s literally fanfic level garbage.

I always felt Jk Rowling wrote herself into a corner in her story Prisoner of Azkaban so she came up with the time turner.
That's the fun of being an author 😄
Yep like she planned on making Peter Pettigrew the one to kidnap and impersonate Alister Moody but realized he would be easily spotted with the Marauder's Map.
In the prisoner of Azkaban the dementors were like her depression because she had depression and she wrote it into her story
And the corner is a deep rabbit hole
Head Cannon: Only marauders and their kin e.g. Harry can see themselves on the map. This would be a safety measure they built in. This would explain why the twins never saw Peter's name pop up.
Snape sees Lupin on it though.
@@saphiramystique2086 I thought of this. We can say it’s because Lupin had opened the map and in his haste forgot to wipe it before running out of his office. Had Snape opened the map and actually figured out the right incantation to make it work he wouldn’t be able to see the marauders.
@@JAMMusic15 Yeah, that does make sense. I can see the map’s abilities, not including knowing who is looking at it once opened by someone.
Also, in the books Harry never saw pettigrew on the map anyway
I think that Fred&George could have found the password because of Peter Pettigrew he might have heard Fred&George talking about the Marauder’s map who knows where perhaps in the common room and then decided to let them use it
An answer for the password of the marauders map could be:
In the books, Snape tried with some spells and questions to unravel the secrets of the map, and the map answered with written words (and insulted Snape).
Yeah Fred&George could have been unlucky to see Peter’s name because ge was behind the bane of Ron
I just have an idea for the 1st pothole: (it fits only for the books though, not for the movies as a few things were changed there):::
The code that is well known for the map only shows you when u are in human form, this is what the marauders would have wanted if the map was ever seized or lost,
And to reveal your name even when in animagus form, there will be an extra key word that only the four marauders know and not even the twins ever figured it out.
Sirius probably sent Kreacher out to do stuff for him.
The reason Voldemort didn't use time travel is because he was not a hack just like Rick lol
Black could easily have apparated into the apartment and sent Kreacher to do his bidding with specific instructions on who he could talk with and what he could say/ask.
are you going to have every episode from now on on your podcast?
This is proven by the stones hermione throw, they appear both times the scene is showed.
i always thought that Sirius had Crookshanks take the order (somehow) or help take the order to Gringotts while taking out the gold out of vault 711.
The map one is easy. Obviously the marauders left the map at the school. Why is it out of likelihood they enchanted it to identify trouble makers and reveal itself to them?
I heard something abaut the map nowing that Fred and George was up to something therefore helping them gues the right praise to unlock it.
last one is explained in a letter, he turned himself into a dog, sent a note to retrieve gold for his chamber in exchange of the gift and continue his travels, Goblins ignore whatever happens with the wizards, so they would not care about the chamber of a murderer getting gold extracted
How Sirius Black managed to buy presents? Well, polyjuice potions maybe?

No, Harry didn't use a spell when reading under the sheets, he used a flashlight.
I finished reading Prisoner of Askaban just last week. He didn't use a spell then. Not in the book anyways.
Maybe that's what he did in the movie? 🤷♀️
8:37 .... That's in the book too. It's not a plothole. End of the book he said he filled out an order form, sent it in under Harry's name but had the gold removed from his own (Serius') vault.
Which still held money in it. Because just like with prisoners in real world, the government doesn't just take over their money or accounts.
maybe about the backstory of filch
The firebolt: mundungus Fletcher of course if black had some blackmail on him and dung can get anything on the black market.
POA always been my favorite movie and book
Can you do a video we’re you go over comments please 😢
What's the matter?
In the fourth one,in the book Harry actually used a flashlight, not a wand. That's one of the things that would be better not changed in the films,in my opinion.
Best Potter movie by a mile, matter of fact one of my favorite movies ever.
HP Sorcerer's Stone: Isn't it strange that a punishment for roaming grounds late at night is to go into the prohibited forest late at night!?
"accio firebolt"... he was still labeled a criminal. Who says Sirius didn't just steal it.
The book says Sirius didn't just steal it, he ordered it by mail using Harry’s name but had the money for it taken from his vault.
I always assumed Voldemort didn’t use time turners was due to his arrogance thunking that he would succeed. He never expected a school boy to win.
2:15 I didn't knew Lord Voldemort had children. You obviously meant Draco Malfoy, and yes timeturner are a bit wibbely-wobbely time-winey
For the marauders map, I can only imagine that there is a magical equivalent to bruteforcing a password.
I think the Weasley twins just kept trying different phrases for a while then managed to stumble onto the password, maybe getting feedback from the map as they got closer.
I think JKR mentioned that the map sometimes gave them small clues so seems possible
on 7 , what if the map only showed them in human form. makes sense he assumed he was safe in the middle of the night and probly got him away from crookshanks
The twins often swore they were up to no good. Goblins don't care who gets money out of the bank as long as it's their vault. Percy had a heavier load than Hermione and did better, so it is probably not uncommon for responsible students to get a time turner.
And how could Severus Snape reveal the marauders map when he took it from Harry in the dark corridor if there was only one password that could work ?
Thats crazy its been 18 years it doesn't seem that long ago
When Harry and Hermione have to use the time turner, Hermione clearly states that they CANNOT be seen by anybody, but then how was she using it? She had to be in 2 classes at once and that would made her visible for a lot of people… I dont understand this plothole…
Sirius bought the broom through mail order, and nobody checked where the money came from.
How did the twins got the pass? It just sounds like something they would have said randomly, jocking, imagine this situation
They find a weird paper, is blank, I don't remember but it might have absorbed ink, like the Voldemort notebook, or just be a weird empty paper, then they joke saying that it could be a secret map, "oh yeah, imagine a map that would only show itself if we say we swear that we are up to no good" I can see that scenario as possible, but a way more likely scenario is the fact the map is sentient, it specifically called out Snape when he tried to force it open, is a shame JK Rowling didn't saw the obvious answers of her own world, I like the one were they get it by accident just because is something I can see them jocking about, even if it wasn't like I described, they could very well have tried once, got that it had a secret and password from the map responses and then just tried many things and in a fit said the words, I see it more as an oversight than a plot hole
Wasn't it like this that the marauders can only be seen in the map in their animal form by people who know they are animagi?
I don't get the time turner thing either. And Percy, Bill and others with more NEWTS would have needed one unless the rules for class-taking and timetables we're changed since then...
Didn't Sirius say he took the money in Harry's name? And the broom, buying by mail order
I don't think the Minnistry would have direct access to the Black family home. They could easily have money stashed away there.
Why was so much importance given to saving buckbeak? Like not being mean but what about other character that died that never got a time-turner moment?
Perhaps Lupin purchased to broom at the request of Sirius and was to be repaid later.
No he didn't because Lupin believed him to be guilty at the time
I had no idea Sirius Black was a convicted criminal!
While Pettigrew was with Ron, I feel like the twins wouldn't have noticed him since they used the map for high crimes and misdemeanors.
Ron knew 💀💀 he just didn't know what he'd done.
The magic outside of school is a movie error. Fair few of these are movie only plot holes
What if Daniel Bruhl was casted as Grindelwald instead of Mads Mikkelsen?
why didnt they notice Marty Crouch Jr>?
Time travel plain and simple is its own plot hole. It just causes too many problems.
So how much do broom sticks costs? Galleons and muggle money.
maybe sirius house elf helped him

What additional effects do spells have that are not seen in the movies? For instance, what else can the patronus charm do besides ward off dementors?
can you do a shout out to kodi sayers
8:46 he stole it
Why did they go from London to Diagon Alley to London To Hogwarts?
Is it possible Peter was able to hide from the map? He was a powerful wizard and one of the creators

@@barbiquearea they'd probably know
The twins probably don't care where Ron is and wouldn't look for his name, they would only check for teachers, headmaster, filch, and others that would get them in trouble.
"What does this parchment even do?" "What do you want it to do?" "I dunno, anything?" "Are you up to no good?" "Depends on who's asking." "Do you swear you're up to no good?"
I dunno, something along those lines.
This is an excellent theory!
Have to agree. I always saw it a little like a youths attempt at something similar to the sorting hat.
That werewolf transformation is probably the most painful in all cinema
And about Sirius' money.
Because she promised to only use it for class
Perhaps she wanted to make Hermione look hard working cause she is
@@debanjanamaitymandal7289 she is but the answer lies in how the time turner works-something we know for certain.
@@briesullivan883 How do you know it ages you in the first place, and if it does shouldn't the trace break early then.
@@maksimilian528 ah I remember that from the film then, thought it was in books too.
This is what I thought, seems most rational that they weren't looking to see where Ron was at and they didn't know who Peter Pettigrew was so they weren't concerned. They most likely did not know the story of Peter Pettigrew and how he was involved with Lilly and James Potter murders.
I want to know Filch's story. Why didn't he go to the muggle world? Why does he serve the magic community when it seems to make him so miserable?
It could be that he grew up with magical parents and lived his whole life in the magical world, and therefore doesn't have anywhere else to go.
