I’m a recovering addict. When I kicked I felt like demons were coming out of me. I had demonic dream for months. I didn’t feel better until I started taking my faith seriously. Read about demons, heard of them and not until my early 20s when I decided to take my faith seriously did I start to see them. The attacks began in my dreams, I couldn't control my emotions In normal situations. I was upset at first like why is this happening to me then it made sense. The trials of my faith had begun. It's been a long time now, and my connection with God has only grew to heights I never imagined. You're loved so much by him, if only we all new how much the world would be transformed.

You know who Satan is and what he wants. Don't give him the attention, don't give him anything he wants. He wants to destroy and steal happiness. He wants everything lost and destroyed. That's why there's the testimony called paradise lost. He hates seeing someone happy, and he hates it. He's against happiness because he's the prince of darkness. He likes darkness as in despair. He and his demons are not anyone's friend and never will be.
Satan must be the good guy in this story.
If Satan rebelled against God, he rebelled against God's ways, and God's ways are pain, suffering, torture, agony and death.

Indeed, so much good instruction! Though maybe to add a few details. Demons will move in and influence your life at the drop of a hat. They work within a discrete realm? When you have a nightmare and are scared because you are e.g. hunted by monsters, the monsters seem also real to you, hence you are scared. Nevertheless they are not real.

I find it hard to believe that someone who does not live the correct way, God will send them to hell for an eternity. A person typically lives until they are over 70 years old. If they have done something in life that was consciously wrong, how is it justified taking that soul and send it to hell for ever? There are a few lines written in the bible that say "you shall not pray to any other God or deity. So does this apply to all people especially towards those people who were never introduced to God? Such as lost civilizations, bands of different tribes of people in the Amazon and so forth. I just cannot comprehend a person going to hell for something they may have done in their lives. It makes no sense.
GOD is the creator of everything and total wisdom. He knows your every thought and he is a just judge, he has it figured out already.

Looks line we’re a bunch who are going straight there… I tried to be religious. I can only do half of it. There’s always the point where I see it’s too much and absurd.
I pray to God that most of what we hear is false because that’s sounds more like an impossible game to win and makes us controlled like sheep’s.
I found that reverend Jesse Lee Peterson brought very good points to this issue:

In his perspective if you found yourself still having anger some time, you’re in a fallen state.
To summarize to forgive and doing silent prayer as much as I can is working more than anything else to me. What we hear everywhere, especially from people who proclaim to be the « righteous » ones, annoy or scare more people away more than anything else.
Just my 2 cents, no pun intended. I sincerely hope it encourage some people who are 99% not there.

@@fuowl666 I understand your position. From what I see it sounds like an atheist illumination statement. But it doesn't resolve any issues of the existential question.
One side of the spectrum is saying the Bible literally what happened and the other side is saying that it's folkloric/mythological stories.
Again even the popular Christian position is the same as the atheist statement. Saying it's true or not is only an expression of positivity on beliefs or cynicism like what I suppose you want to interject with.
The thing is even if you erase all religion in books, about the same archetypes are going manifest in dreams or nightmare (could be during any exorcism) from any cultures.

We won't remember our dreams and our subconscious is going to take over to control our life (when things are going south in society, like what's happening nowadays).
It's not as much as the tyrants are the only culprits, it's more like people are adopting politics as new religion and elevating their leaders at the Saints level. The only ones on their side are the anointed, this is the real danger. Exactly what happened in the beginning of the 1900's. All we see is the endless attempts to repeat the same atrocities by people who ignore the history of humanity and this right now. You can translate the same way with the new age crap, we are only going to end up with gurus the same way our beloved today's technocrats elites "wannabe" coming out with problems and "their" solutions as much horrible as eachothers.

I think that the majority of atheists are underestimating the wisdom gathered in mythology and don't know how to read texts that are not scientific. But people who believe also mistake mythology for history. So in some sense, they make indeed the same mistake. And yes, people replace religion with politics, which will lead towards desaster, but the real problem is the fanaticism of ideology in general. Erich Fromm understood political ideologies also as religion because they give a common object of devotion.I would rather understand religion as a form of ideology. And the existential question is answered when we can let go of ideology and projection. That should be the aim of spirituality. But it can never ever come from the outside, it cannot be forced. It's a personal development of the individual. It's not an intellectual thing, but also not an anti-intellectual thing, as religion makes it out to be. So there is an arrogance of the intellect, you are right, but there is also the opposite arrogance.

Satan is the king of the devils who watch over souls in the underworld, the king of darkness and his only goal to make you betray God.

In heaven there are 14 great spirits and we have 7 layers beneath them to pass away when we die.
In hell there is Satan and his children(demons). And if u were suicide or a very bad person then u go to the underworld and not hell..

Lucifer is the name of the being mentioned in the book of Daniel as the bearer of light. Lucifer is his name in Latin. Satan is his name in Hebrew, Shatanaya.
To add a third, “Diabolos” is Greek, which means the divider. That’s where Spanish gets “Diablo” or Devil.

That's exactly the same as saying you must prove first that the universe and all its causality had no beginning, and had simply caused itself to come to being without help from an intelligent ultimate cause. Einstein gave up on that endeavor and initially called the big bang absurd because that would have necessitated a beginning. Or prove why there are 40+ mathematical constants such as the force of gravity or the speed of light that are so minutely fine-tuned, that any stronger or weaker, the math would break down and it would make life in the universe impossible. Hawking also conceded to cosmic fine-tuning as possible evidence of an intelligent creator.

That the mathematical existence of cosmic fine-tuning, and that the natural logical conclusion that the universe *must* have had an uncaused cause (because nothing can naturally cause itself to come into being by itself) - applying Occam's Razor as a logical device, you are led to conclude that the most obvious answer is that there is not, at the very least, an intelligent designer? That we must simply accept the current theory that the Universe was always perpetual, defying the natural logical order of efficient causes? Come on - even the "we live in a simulation" theory sounds more plausible than that.
At the very least, the argument that stems from either God exists or does not - both come from the same footing. However the scientific evidence continues to lean towards a suggestion that the universe was intelligently designed by *something*

Surely there's something to the fact that the many people he's exorcised report being tormented by spiritual entities prior to the exorcism, followed by peace thereafter?

We all try to make sense of the world with the limited tools that we have. Other people might interpret their experiences not as a demonic possession, but e.g. as an alien abduction.
And if there is indeed a healing, maybe other worldly factors like the placebo effect have their play.
So the devil or satan was able to somehow become the ruler of Earth, the same place where humans (God's most beloved and greatest creation) live in and this is really what we're supposed to believe?? Even if satan had a "role to play" in our lives and it was all part of the big plan, it's completely inconceivable that a "loving God" would allow or let alone PLAN on something like that to happen.
Man sinned and decided to listen to the devil. Don't let the demons convince you that God is bad, the Bible tells us that because of following sin and satan we have a flesh and heart that wishes for evil. Seeing how wicked people can be, evil is very rampant.
God is merciful that He allows free will and doesn't force us into being with Him.
You can choose to trust God and accept Christ to go onto eternity with Him, or stay in sin like demons and face their same fate of eternal damnation. We have complicated things with our own decisions but God doesn't wish to control our actions so He lets a short life on earth happen. He's our creator and has promised better for us after a short life.
For me, it's worth it to follow Him into eternal life. He's showed me His goodness and mercy.

See again, free will is irrelevant given the context of the whole "man sinned and decided to listen to the devil" situation. You have a supernatural powerful entity like the devil with high levels of knowledge and smarts going up against a mere mortal human???? You can have all the free will you want, that is just simply not a fair matchup, and this all goes back to my earlier point, how the hell are we even able to be tempted by the devil in first place unless God allowed it or FORCED it, it's ironic that you're telling me that the Christian God "doesn't force us into being with him" but he definitely forced us to being with the devil at the beginning of time. @davidl4781 It's interesting David, I actually wish we got more on this topic! Clearly, God WAS allowing satan to perform his deceit. That's not a question that's a fact.
He's Yahweh, we say His name everytime we breathe in and out since he breathed life into us. I don't know the mysteries behind His decisions, but He's created the universe then I don't want to question His authority.
satan had the audacity to challenge God, and we don't know all the facts as to whether he might have spoke with God or was like "Hey see what I can do, maybe I can get them to follow me?" Who knows, he likes to run his mouth too much lol big ego problem.
All I know is that I'm glad I can make a choice to follow Christ into eternity. He's revealed His goodness, and the devil reveals evil all the time. But I trust God to know He's in control, not me, not demons. Life is a trial, but anything is possible with God.
Temptation and our struggle against it is indeed refining us and inspiring us who choose righteousness to strive for better.

But for me it's not about having all the answers it's about asking the right questions, I think theres way too many flawed contradictions in the basic foundations of the Christian faith, it's cool though I can't fault anyone else who strives to be better
