My Husband's Lover tells the story of Vincent (Tom Rodriguez) who got his girlfriend Lally (Carla Abellana) pregnant while they were still in college. They decided to get married even if Vincent's mother Elaine (Kuh Ledesma) was very much against it. Thus Lally's married life was never smooth-sailing. But for the love for her husband, Lally endures her controlling mother-in-law.
However, when Lally got pregnant with their second child, Vincent suddenly became distant and cold towards her. Lally felt that Vincent was being unfair to her so she decided to leave together with their children. Vincent loves his kids so much, so he tried to win back his wife by proposing and this time getting married again with the blessings of the church.
Lally and Vincent's married life became better after the church wedding. But unknown to Lally, Vincent is keeping a secret from her - a secret he kept from everyone else ever since he was young.
He is a closeted gay.

Eric is a very very good actor, if I have to vote for a grammy award for BEST actor I will pick Eric. His character is difficult because he stick his belief of being a GAY even though he was continuous advice by people to keep away from Vincent because he is married and breaking a family. He tried to stay away but because he truly follow his heart that he really loves Vincent, it’s very difficult to stay away,he already tried to commit suicide when Vincent did not pay attention to him. He knows Vincent feels the same way, because Vincent already made a commitment that he marry Lally and has kids he is troubled by it and struggle with his life also because, Vincent wants to please his parents by marrying Lally to hide that he is GAY.. Vincent now realize that he is born GAY and he will always GAY. This is going to blow out of proportion at the end, The LOVE of Vincent and ERC is the TRUE LOVE. I feel sorry for Lally because she is the VICTIM here, innocent victim who doesn’t know what’s going on,that she was being used.

Glad they hugged in episode 15. Wish CC was on for English, so I can understand what is being said. The acting is awesome but getting tired of having to watch that to make sense of what is happening. Auto-generate also sucks as it doesn't line up with the script.

Eric got what he deserved. He should've never pursued a relationship with a married man, no matter how much the guy loves him, or a sham of a marriage he's in. Until he divorces his wife, he's off-limits. But Eric was being selfish and in the end he paid for it.
@Count of Monte Cristo I only watched the English-subbed episodes. At the time only episodes 1-16 had been subbed, and the only time I revisited this series was to respond to comments made to mine.
But what I found strange about this series is the fact that they didn't so much as exchange a letter or phone call the entire time they were apart. Call me weird but if I loved someone as much as Eric and Vincent claimed to love each other, there's no way I could go 5 whole years--I wouldn't even last a month--and not attempt to reach the love of my life, be it via a letter/phone call/passenger pigeon, etc.
You'd think Vincent would at least inform Eric of his pending marriage, if nothing else, but nope; his 'love' didn't even warrant that.

23:04 a fitting shot of Vincent and how he feels: imprisoned. Such a tormented and sad soul, torn between his desires and commitments.
And Lally is so clueless. Vincent may end the affair with Eric that doing so doesn't make him straight. When he gets 'that urge' again to be with a man, he'll either get his fix from Eric or another man. And saying act like everything is back to normal, then that means you LALLY have to play YOUR part as well. Act like the loving wife then. Don't hold the past over Vincent.
And I find it VERY interesting Lally has yet to run and tell Vicky all about how she found her husband in the arms of another man, since she has a penchant for telling Vicky everything.
And wanting to know 'everything' in order to move on and being able to handle 'everything' are 2 completely different things.

IKR. His father really messed him up. The driving force behind his decision to knock up and marry Lally was his father. He didn't want to give his father any reason to question his masculinity, orientation, etc while the main reason he probably won't leave Lally is his father finding out the truth about him. Poor man.
Danny’s MOM made an ultimatum that if he continuous to live with his boyfriend, to might as well forget them or they will forget him forever. That is really really SAD because they didn’t accept him being GAY. I feel bad for Danny, in real story this is really sad if that’s the case.
