I'm going to get one ! This is exactly what I was looking for to improve my Vlog and my channel. I had some problems with my last episode. You can watch it over here and notice that I have some problems when I'm walking in the event: ruclips.net/video/j01vEEIy-vM/видео.html
@@shoshoar791 The Rode NT 1a looks like a very different mic, one you would use if you were stationary. The Wireless Go is best if you plan to be walking and moving around.
@@ioninromania It is expensive, yes. But it works really really well, and you can use it on just about any camera. That flexibility is worth the extra cost IMO.
You guys are awesome. I decided to buy the Go Pro Hero 7 Black after watching your channel only. And congratulations, so happy to hear that you guys started making money from Gemini Connect RUclips. And you were so right about the fact that Vlogging is all about showing what's actually happening than struggling with equipment.
Gemini Connect I dislike like it ! I find that it’s very glitchy bugs out freezes etc.. battery life not great.. but main issue is I do a lot of recording so have a separate power supply.. which in turn has a 1 sec sync delay with the go pro 🤮 go pro haven’t addressed this and would seem don’t care. It’s a shame in your test you didn’t do with and without the mic ? But interesting. Did you have to play with the gain and settings ?
I really enjoy this type of semi-realistic sound, where you do hear loads of ambient noise, just as you will in reality. This is good for realistic travel videos, so excellent showcase for it, going near all that construction, and waterfront areas...THANK YOU for the super informative content. Fun too.
Wireless mics like the Rode Wireless Go of Saramonic Blink give you the very best audio. But a super cardioid like the Rode Video Micro is also very good and less expensive. Here's a recent mic comparison video - ruclips.net/video/HWH6hus3vuE/видео.html
Do you have to download your audio from the receiver and use an app to add it to the video or is the GoPro recording it directly to the micro SD card? Nice video.
@@Gemini_Connect yeah and I don't live in the US so I have to wait until official GoPro US store gets it and then pay double due to shipping. Wishing I got the Sony instead 🤷♂️
What mic are you using Dale? I see it clipped to your shirt in your videos and it works great. If you need GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter I can buy it for you at BestBuy here in Canada (just bought one) and ship to you. Just reimburse me.
Thank You so much for this video. I was looking for a really good way to get good wireless audio for my GoPro Hero 7 Black. I am planning to buy the whole set up. The Ulanzi case is really a very nice one to have to manage the bulky external go pro mic adapter.
You clip it to the subject usually or use a 2 mic set up. If you have a host interviewing the subject and staying close, you can probably get away with one mic clipped to him and pointing at the subject
What great and fun way to review a product! I’m not a tech person. But I could see the mic working “for real” in a vlog plus got to see Seattle;) thx guys! Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Crystal clear audio. I can hear the crunch of the toast as it’s being eaten. It does pick up a lot of extraneous background sound however it’s not too bad. I already have an older Rode wireless Mic system but this new version sounds great. So... here we go again, chasing Technology. My unit isn’t that old and now a newer, better version comes out. What to do? Suggestions? BTW - Your Ivar’s dinner looked delicious. Thanks for the waterfront tour.
Yeah.... We have the bigger Rode wireless system too and just spent on this. The size makes all the difference for us, but we can't lie buying all this gear does get expensive. It really is about whether you can get use and hopefully some income from these purchases... Or whether you're financially secure enough to indulge in expensive hobbies.
Hi! Do you have to press a separate Record button for voice (once paired) or the audio will automatically record when you start recording with your GoPro?
We leave the GoPro audio settings in Auto. The key to improving the sound is adding an external mic, whether it's the Rode Wireless Go, or the Saramonic or Edutige mics (those are explained in our other GoPro vlogging videos).
Just got the rode video mic last week, so far so good, if you purchase a rode mic MAKE SURE you purchase from an authorized retailer or you get no warranty or support from rode. 😵😵😵😏
Unfortunately, we haven't found a way to do that. We've tried using a splitter and that didn't work. Our suspicion is that GoPro is pre-programmed to only record a single audio track.
Just found out the rode wireless go couldn’t be purchased in Australia yet. That sucks. Really need it for my RUclips video creation. No product like that on Aus amazon. You guys are so lucky living in US. Haha 😆
We were thinking of this Rode Go kit but getting two transmitters and one receiver and wondered if that would work does anybody know if this would work. What is your decision and take away on the set up you have in this video, is it a viable two person walk and talk vlog set up?
We're about to do something similar that does work - get 2 Rode Wireless go kits and a splitter. Plug the splitter into the gopro adapter and then hook up both receivers. Then clip a receiver on each person. We tested and it does work
Gemini Connect interesting i want to talk while I’m recording myself skating but worried about the wind, think this might be ok or should I go another route? Also thanks for the quick reply
The correct terminology for your Russian friend is “are you ready to butter your buns” a bit of correct word play with dash of humor. This mic is not out yet is it?
We love it. At the time, the Wireless Go was the highest quality wireless mic at an affordable price point. Today, there are quite a few competitors. But we still prefer Rode for its consistent, reliable quality.
@@Gemini_Connect Awesome thanks for the reply! And now there is a Wireless Go 2 I see... I'm trying to figure out the best mic setup for being on the street and interviewing people.

Can't we use wireless go mic... Without media mod in Gopro ?
If you use the GoPro Mic Adapter, yes. You need a device to add a mic jack to the GoPro.
You didn’t give us a good test on walking away from the mic slowly to see how the sound levels really are
that's what I was hoping to see. I needed to see the clarity of her voice if she were to walk away.
