Literally a dragon.
Do you know that you can press Y to reposition yourself on the track at any time in a race, even when you are still on the track. So whenever you spin out or crash, instead of just slowly making a u turn you can just press Y and get instantly positioned correctly on the track. It saves some time

When facing the window in the race at 16:58 (you can recognize it by the loop at 16:53), you can jump straight to the ground floor, bypassing a whole lot of the race. The downside is that there is a checkpoint after you take that jump, but you could go backwards and still skip a lot of the race. The loop at 22:10 also seems to be a shortcut.
Scrapman, In the race Magnetic Fields, it looks like you can drop down to the floor at 20:15, as that's the last checkpoint and the ending is openly connected to the floor. Love the content, thank you for the regular uploads!

@@mrpotato1849 Nope. But your timestamp shows how the ending is openly connected to the floor. My timestamp was referring to the last checkpoint, and where you would drop down. I wonder what other maps have massive skips like this. I wish I owned this game, I'd try to find more.
The trailers for this game show cars using air boost short cuts to skip part of the track, so it's very much an intended feature. One thing a trailer showed was using a boost to just skip a loop, saves a lot of time.
In the first cource there are "2" other sortcuts.
If you take left at the dragon and then jump to the vent, there is a small shortcut. Risky, but saves off a second. The same if when you jump of the vent you go directly to the right path. It saves a curve.
For the finale, you should make a course that uses all the parts you have unlocked

24:34 There's a potential shortcut here. If you exit on the right of the loop early, you can jump to the next piece of track, unless there's a checkpoint in the actual loop.
Edit: You can do the same here, but exiting left: 24:53
Edit2: Also if you drive on the sloped sides of the turn, you can go faster because the car is basically being pushed into the track by the g forces like at 35:48

6:06 yes you have, you can do a shortcut on both ways, on this side, you jump out of your road an meet up below, and the other side, you exit left before the loop, go under the loop and meet up where you can go back up on the road
there is also a third shortcut where you go right to the dragon in the air duct, (you can cut the corner of the left turn down hill with a boost but watch out to not it the other side because you can flip) an instead of jumping the big gap to the road in front, you can cross with a boost to the right road an skip a tight turn
15:56 like i saw in a other comment, you can jump directly to the finish line, its maybe just a last lap cut because, to make it usable in the 1st an 2nd lap, you need to land perfectly on it behind the finish, drive a bit to get it register as a new spawn point, respawn and use a boost (the game give you one if it was your last one)
but a stronger one is at 20:17, you slow down at that small drop, turn around and go on top of the tunnel and jump to the finish with that extra height
22:11 yes, slow down a lot an gently jump to the other side don't touch the accelerator pads, you can also do it with the one at 22:33 just miss the 2 boost before
35:33 you can skip the snake nearly every time, you need to jump to the blue road with one boost but you need to learn to actually fly, its not just nose up because you don't have the distance and not just forward because you don't have the height an then you bounce out of the road, its so hard to do but so good
Knowing what the creators of this game have history playing, im betting each level has atleast ONE shortcut, i would say any break in track with no checkpoints is a potential shortcut.

Yeah, you know, I've noticed this about the dragon car. It's unbalanced. It screws you up A LOT. I know the "stats" say it's better than your Jesko, but its tippy nature costs you a LOT of time on the tough tracks and against the paint-swapping AI. So maybe it's not quite fitting your driving style. Which also makes me wonder if other cars might be a better fit, even with worse stats. There's no stat for "Physics" ... but that almost seems like the most important stat by end game. I really wish the game had better (and more) stats and stat-accuracy.
19:08 tell me that's not a shortcut? Look very closely. The finish line is right there you just need to slow down and turn a bit to the left after you exit the tunnel.
Btw all tracks have shortcuts, you just need some skills and keen eyes

20:18 another shortcut that leads straight to the finish line if you ride the tunnel I mentioned earlier and do a U turn after landing on the track leads you closer to the finish line
You can cut the track times in half if you learn those shortcuts
The trick is to know where the checkpoints are. Not every jump can be used for a shortcut, there are even shortcuts that just involve you falling out of loops
On that magnetic field track you theoretically can shave off something like a second from total time by using the tube to climb up, shoot out and fly through the finish in opposite direction than intended at last lap. The question is will it work?

Theres a shortcut on both sides, you can skip the loop by driving off the track and just going around it. Saves a gud chunk of time.

On the first race, I think you can bypass the loop on the left hand path toward the beginning. Just go off the track to the right of the loop, and run along the floor until you get to the ramps from the floor back onto the track right before the magnetic section.

The 2nd race you do there is a potential of shortcut after and before the first loop try relocate the map again and see if you found it
the shortcut you took at 6:00 is what i like to but a more exterme way is too use your boost, do a 180, and land on the upper half of the track and boost again to instantly regain speed

On the second race you did (the one where you tried to go upside down in the tube), i think i found a shortcut. On the last lap of this race, you could use the left side of the tunnel to jump directly into the finish line (skipping the last 180 degrees turn)
At 8:05 Scrapman you could probably beat the ai by a second if you jump to the right

Scrapman, about the percentage thing in the time trials, I think they only show up in the courses that aren't lap courses against AI... It's also above the timer
on that shortcut you took, you can totally just boost off the wooden ramp toward the dragon and land right in front of it.

build barebones cars, but the check points will have vacuums adding on to your

22:54 No, you should try some more, but don't boost. When you are in air, the boosting steers you, so just hop it, instead. You've got another episode or two to try the epic move everyone (including you) wants to see, and I think you can do it. This was good practice, no boosting is a progressive lesson.
Edit: I'm fully used to your outro music, now. Your intro/outro combo is as one unit to my ears, a proper set.

Scrapman I don’t know if you noticed this, but you can actually link boost together in one continuous boost, to keep accelerating, rather than using one and slowing, then using another. You did it here, 25:27 but I don’t know if it was on purposely not
In the second race in the video if you go in the tube and ride the left wall you can use bosts to redirect yourself to the finish line without doing the fan turn (I noticed it on the run where you drifted on the walls of the same tube).
Just a tip but you can respawn by holding y uven if the button doesnt show up on the screen

You need to curb that habit just a bit. Once you get used to where you can boost vs. where you really shouldn't, I feel like you'll improve by magnitudes.

Hey scrapman, I found out that the 24 ours has 6 speed, acceleration, and steering, and ? handling. The boost is 2x notches, it doesn't change when upgraded to legendary. I watched a video of someone using the legendary one and it was blazing. The stats I described are the legendary stats, not it's rare stats. Try to aim for that car. Btw, I've been seeing how hard the dragon is on you, and I suggest you try to switch cars depending on the race. I have another suggestion. You love to create, why not do that when you complete the campaign? I also want to see you make some really sneaky shortcuts, along with all-around good races. I can't wait to see what you create.
on the second track, if you look carefully after the "tunnel" youre next to the table. so when you do the jump onto the table hang right and fall off table, the last turn of the lap is right there. i didnt see any checkpoints between either.
23:00 i saw a shortcut looking area as you came down from the first loop, before going under the couch, looked like there was something to the right.

At 25:50 you can jump to the side of the track where there is a jump, you can do it because there is no checkpoint.
Something you might've missed. On the first course of the video if you drive off the course on the loop side, you can drive over to where both paths merge.
Basically if you see multiple sections on the ground without checkpoints and no walls you can make your way off the course and onto the next section, skipping a bit.

I think I spotted a shortcut on the second track something to do with magnets, either way where the track goes through the loop with the 2 strips of boosts, if you can bank on the wall on the right side you can probably hit the boosts on the loop and take the loop and have a decent shortcut.
Btw the second ever race in this vid has a shorcut - the place before the start where u can go upsaide down remember that? Well if u angle correctly u can actually land on the play form where start/end is so ye
I have posted a lot of comments on this video, but I have 1 more thing to mention. The completion bar at the top left that someone said was there but you couldn’t see, only appears some of the time. I think it’s only on the 2 mins plus time trials, because u saw it here 27:28

Im not sure about this but if at 20:18 he turned right onto the top part of the tunnel, it could be possible to continue the track n save quite a bit of time.

Allrighty Scrapman I think I may have found a massive shortcut if it works. leaving the tunnel one can see the tabletop on the left, I guess you could use the last tunnel bit like a ramp or maybe it works with speed itself jumping over. On the second race the loop to jump onto the table once you land on the table drive right off the side onto the stretch to the finish
on the first map, if you go on the left you can skip the loop completely and you can just go on the ground bcuz theres no checkpoint there
I paused it at the robbed finish line (at 26:55) and you were fully across the line at 2-28.556. So even worst-case if they'd checked the back of your car instead of the nose, you still made it. Visually. So yeah, robbed. CLEARLY the "finish line" is not the one on the screen, but one further down the course, probably the end of the ramp PAST the finish line. If you ask me, that's clearly a bug that the VISUAL FINISH LINE is *NOT* the real finish line. I've questioned it a few times watching your videos, but now we have definitive proof. Yes, you were officially robbed, IMHO. Which goes to why I'm still on the wall about this game. It ... has some sins that need addressing. But it looks like fun. If they'd just patch the bugs and uncheat the AI...
I feel like on the second race map in the video, on the 3rd lap at the tube thing, you could drive off to the left and land on the track after the finish line and drive through the finish from the back, but idk how hard it would be to do that and idk if it would count the lap if you entered it from the back, I can't see why it wouldn't though

The shortcuts being inter thing is so untrue as soon as you look at Mario Kart. There are so many insane shortcuts that are 100% unintended. Like ones were you bounce of a bunch and then a wall then a tree to go out of bounds and skip half the course. Also the grumble volcano one were you bounce off of a rock that you barely reach with a mushroom to skip half the course.

In almost all of the races if you can point your car upwards, you can fly to the next checkpoint.
use the speeder to adjust how fast you turn. while in the swing. that is how i normaly do drifting. i have not tryed that game. so i dont know how it works in the game. full speeder, you dont turn much, release the speeder, you turn most. so it is about finding the amout you use the speeder. the jesco is for long straight roads. but i think with speeder magic in corners, it will also be best. . - - one thing: it looked like you drove even faster, when the wheels were not tuching the road, when using boost. maybe this way you come over the speed limit the car have in boost.

scrapman finds short cut in first race but doesn't see the second split with dragon you can do the same. Right at dragon, single 90 lefty turn, straight through ducting, jump to the right for the inside turn of the left run.
