Two rounds of Siege, unfortunately I had to leave before the fun round (damn revision for exams!)

Team 2 - 84e, 14e, 5th Brigade, 42nd, 8LR

Remember when everybody didn't fight like they are having a seizure
Arizona Ranger no
Better than fighting on medium speed like some braindead eus
Came back to watch this after many years since being in a regiment. Man this is nostalgic good old times as a cadet in the 77y. I wasn’t in it for long but I miss the good old NW events (got over 1000 hours on Nw alone)
Same here man... I was a Private in the 48thH
Aaron Paul I was in a lot but the most fun was in the 95th rifles my god I miss these times :)
Sigh. I sure miss the days when this was commonplace. Now, the only server that gets much activity is a "bot survival" server that gets around 60 players on a good day, and even then it lasts about thirty minutes. Back when I was in college, these 77y events almost kept me going through the drudgery of school, so I still like to re-watch em once in a while, and think about how happy I got when I saw a new video in my subscription feed! :)
minisiege gets quite a few these days. Granted it looks more like a mosh pit than a battle most of the time.
Events still happen with 200+ people
I was an admin, stopped logging in to the game about a year after BBG tired left. Had to stop playing a lot of games to focus on the last years. A shame that the community is slowly dying. I just hope that Bannerlord will support a new NW mod for it so the community can migrate over.
@@napoleonibonaparte7198 I hope so. Still log on occasionally, but it's a shame everything's basically a shadow of what it used to be. Could you imagine NW with Bannerlord's graphics?!? That would be epic!
@@steveurkle1241 Really??? :D I've been hopping on and off since 2018, and the biggest server population I ever saw was 112 people, and things disintegrated pretty quick. I assume these are regiment events?
This was the first ever mount and blade video I ever saw, it was maybe two months after the vid had been released I saw it, now I'm a captain in my own regiment, never thought I'd be saying that xD
What's the regiment?
I was in the 2nd ROF, had to leave when life got a bit busy lol still play every now and again:P
same for me and finaly i found it. after 6 years i can still remember the intro
congrats on 1 million views! I was 10 years old when I first watched this, crazy how time flies.
This was your first video I ever saw all those years back, crazy how fast time went. I was like 16 when I was a cadet in the 77y 😂. Must of been 5 years ago I shot you off your horse during an fun round where we all spawned in a musicians? After the match I was chilling in the teamspeak and you jumped in my chat and joked about it with us. I think you left 77y not too long after that. Fuck dude, time flies.
Time certainly has a habit of sneaking up on you. I do miss having the free time to go to events and run clans... stupid work life. lol
Malakith Skadi Your videos are my daily dose of nostalgia. It has been like 8 years since I saw your first video. I was 10, now I am 18.
Hot damn. This brings back some memories. This series with chad doing birds eye play-by-play and of course the co-op total war campaigns with him as well. Wish I could bring back these days.
Man, these were the days. I started playing M&B in middle school and spent my first few years in 15th. Shame I quit playing before I was old enough to apply for 77y, haha! I graduate college this year, btw.
I seriously miss this game and when it was super active
@@isaacpham1311 It was a fun time
@@bobsherman3055 it really was :(
nostalgia right here, i was grade 4 when i first started watching this vid now im in my senior high years
I was a freshman in hs
@DeVonte' Ivey - Every single character is a unique player, including the cadets.
I realise why you dont do seiges anymore but do you think you will ever do them again. They were my favorite things to watch on your channel.
wait, why are they not doing sieges anymore?
Malakith I have to say this Looks EPIC 77yregiment.com/roster And Malakith in the 77y Do they have Cavalry?
How to command them?
Over teamspeak or any other channel thingy where u can tlk to someone, like skype- they dont do sieges anymore
Warband and by extension Napoleonic Wars, is a game that I've gotten the best value for money out of in my life. €20 in 2013 got me 2000 hours worth of entertainment over a decade. Congrats on this video getting 1 million views!
so fucking badass, love that dicipline
This is going to be a nine years old in 1 day........Time man...........
What happened to the 77y?
@@AbyRemy idk, I was six when this video was made.
My childhood right here
The name of the game is Mount&Blade: Napoleonic Wars. You have to by Mount&Blade Warband first, which is like the medieval version, then purchase this DLC, Napoleonic Wars. Best game I have ever played.
I feel bad for that sapper worked so hard to build that yet no one used it
It's amazing how your character seemed to be immune to all the bullets twenty minutes in.
I miss these days... proper gaming
This is epic! From what I've played of Mount and Blade there were never any player formations or orders, but this takes it to a whole new level with people actually going along with the orders! You should use a Roman Mod and do the same thing, it would be awesome.
This was the first M&B video that I ever saw, it got me into the game, and I hence joined the 77y.
I have never seen so much discipline and order between players on an online game before, highly impressed!
10 years later and I just did a siege on that same map last weekend 😣
Malakith is hero like officer. Soldiers around him are falling like flies and he performs his duty superbly. Bravo.
This was the first video I ever saw of M&B, I actually bought it right after do to the concept of musket line battles.
Miss when this game was in its prime.
Jesus i forgot those guy existed, I remember watching these videos when I was way younger and thinking holy crap
I remember watching this as a kid, good old days !
yes, many people still play it. You can list servers by population usually a siege will be the most popular map, often reaching well over 100 players during 'prime time' (around 5pm-10pm EST) and weekends
I think that it is awesome that you can actually see the bullets
Yes, the game is still very active. Usually you'll want to find and join a active Regiment (Which there are many), and they will organize or participate in ones such as these throughout the week. Regiment battles (Very organized/using ranks and formations) are usually private, so you need to join a Regiment. Some servers do allow 'Pub Lines' (Random players) to form together and serve as a mercenary or militia force for teams to fill positions if a Regiment doesn't show up.
Ah yes, the glorious days of Mount and Blade. Because of Mal's vids, got the game in a few years and played it like hell. Couldn't join the 77y because of commitments and time zones. Really hope the community will last until the new NW mod for Bannerlord is released.
Wow! Never saw such level of play in m&b! So only officers can communicate, soldiers just connected to audio stream?
Probably Teamspeak
Kanji Bigelsteine
Yea, definitely) Now I'm in one of the regiments and its definitely teamspeak. But I didn't know about this program really exist!
*****
wut?
Can't wait to take part in some of these epic battles with my new reg. this weekend
This mount and blade game is really getting me back into the napoleon total war.
Love happybananas' teamkill with the shrapnel barely missing Malakith, I also love it how the troops seem to be shouting your name when they rage on :)
military policy is to number regiments, brigades, and divisions. 77y, not sure about the Y, but 77 refers to the number assigned to this unit, which would be determined by the amount of regiments a country calls up for duty.
The mod looks good and how you command your troops always leads to you victory. Nice vid
If anyone here is new to this game and is looking for a regiment. Avoid certain regiments as a lot of them are cancer and you get leaders who can’t lead and just reform/remake regiments and don’t know it’s there doing if it’s failure. I recommend regiments like 19th (ex 54e), regiment I am in. 77y, 1stEB, 2tes(German regiment), Tercios (Spanish regiment) and a few others.
Sincerely, [19th] Kieran
Man, the 77y was the first regiment I joined! Sadly, I had to stop playing since my computer just couldn't stand the awesome. I am grabbing a new PC, if mister Skadi reads this, I will be attempting to rejoin in time!
OH MY GOD! THIS IS MY FAVOURITE VIDEO EVER
This was wild from start to finish! :D I liked it!
Wow everyone's so in sync and follows commands really well in your troop.
It's funny and almost movie-like that there are tons of people getting shot next to you, yet you always survive.
Happiness: charging the French line as a Black Watch piper playing Black Bear with an admin horse. Death cannot stop me.
Can't wait to get back into this again when I get a new laptop.
77y, you played with the 42nd a few times which i was in :D
British officers don't duck!!!!
Of course not, they stand proud in an alternate direction.
***** That fucker was ducking!
Still play Napoleonic Wars on the Minisiege server fairly regularly but never joined a regiment. Could never take orders or spare the time. A couple of 77y guys were playing on it tonight.
This is a DLC for Mount and Blade: Warband. You can find vanilla warband and the dlc on amazon.
I love these kinds of vids.!
As someone who plays Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty, when I first saw a line battle in Mount and Blade: Warband, I actually thought everyone was a npc. I was baffled by how much discipline was in the game.
Nearly 300 hours of Mount and Blade here. THIS was fucking amazing.
1300 mate :D
+Peter Joy 1.600 mate :D
+Jacob H. 2200

I love how you almost get shot about twenty or so times. It's amazing how lucky you are.
i really enjoyed watching this video please put more up it was great
"I've watched 7 people die right next to me. I think I'll just sit in the same spot."
I don't even play the game, I just enjoy watching other people playing it.
i love seeing myself in videos makes me feel so good
Never seen something so organized epsecially with players! Wow.
so damn lucky that game the amount of rounds and shrapnel flying past was mad
the chain of command is really cool i think, this game looks badass
Wow what awesome leadership you have! sticking with your unit to the very end. XD Good job.
Your videos made me buy the DLC.... THANK YOU MALAKITH !!!!!!
once i get the game to not crash every so often >_< i'll certainly apply for a regiment, because i need that formation/organization to truely enjoy a musket and bayonet type of game
Don't know if you still keep up with Napoleonic Wars regiments and stuff, but I've been part of a regiment called the Nr.9 for 2 years or more at this point. And these videos you made is most definitely what got me into it the DLC, not to mention the organized event side of the DLC. The 1000 hours I have in M&B is definitely attributed to these videos of yours in a major way.
Glad you found a game and group of people to enjoy spending your time on :)
Just wish I still had enough free time to take part in these kind of events :(
" I'm hearing a lot of sub's left your channel, Well I will replace them."
*(That means you got a new subscriber!)*
Ok?
ok...What ??
Bloody hell Malakith, I don't think I've ever seen someone dodge so many rounds and cannonballs.
I started playing in May 2021 and the Miniseige server gets around 50 to 100 players most days and sometimes up to 150. People just run around and don’t form lines but it’s still a blast. The map rotation is repetitive tho so be sure to vote for custom maps
I think the faint voice you can hear repeating his orders at times may be his NCO or another commander of another cadet regiment that was working with his at the time. But there definitely are other commanders in the battle.
yes this is a DLC for mount and blade war band you need that to get this i would recommend buying them all
28:58 Little known fact: during the Napoleonic Wars, there was an entire section of the army devoted to teaching troop to "glide" into battle. Here, we see one such strapping young lad demonstrate his gliding technique.
It's called The Sundering, it's in the Warhammer fantasy novels, He is an evil, elf badass.
Great example of how an assault on a fortified position accounts for massive losses on the attacking size, and why most deaths for the defenders are from famine and sickness
amazing that people actually listens and follows orders
You were very lucky here for some reason.
Crazy map update. 1Rhein still uses this map for friday siege events
Awesome, i love all of you for participating in this.
are there good server near southeast asia?
i really want to play this game's multiplayer
Wonder if these type of events still occur, if so, I would love to participate!
ahhh man the good ol days
You don't duck as a British officer damn it! :p
Amazing video, as always Malakith ;)
I hope that when I get the expansion I can get in 77y =)
Malakith the invincible, has an invisible shield and deflects the bullets onto his loyal followers
this reminds me of the good old times at the 84e siege server... memories
So many memories :)
I am about to get this shit.
I love how men will die literally right next to you, and you just continue like nothing
This is why I love Mount&Blade
Yeah! Malakith is even uploading vids on them now!
Love to see a Line battle where one team just got in one big line and charged across the map
Hi, i`m a renaissance era nerd, and i`m going to apply for 77y when i get warband and napoleonic wars!
Malakith you seem to be the luckiest person ever, I can't tell how many cadets that were standing next to you were killed but you never got shot till the end, lol.
makes me want this game again nice job
as soon as i saw the British in that one room i am like 'geez, if the Prussians let loose a cannonball on that the Brits are screwed' haha.
This is UNREAL i wish i could join a group like this
just woke up and ready to watch
The officer is so lucky, he never gets hit :o
Though in most siege battles(In F&S, Warband) Their will be someone who will take charge of the attackers or defenders and make them organised. I've seen and done it before and it can really turn things around for either side.
he was lucky to not get killed when the shrapnel flew at the cadet beside him lol
You should see the Zulu Wars public games. Anyone in a regiment joins the British side. They fight from a fortified position as a team against all public players who are just joining for a game. Those players attack the British side (they are the Russians, being the Partizani unit type, equipped randomly) and generally the ordered regiments easily beat the far outnumbering horde.
Malakith with the views you got on this video should show you that you need to make more of these videos.
+Diamond Evan with the obvious lack of videos or should be clear I don't want to.
The regiment is full right now, we have to wait a few weeks untill they are recruiting again.
Malakith,If anyone asked where to go to watch a good napoleon game..I would recommend your channel.
