I'm too old to do so now but I use to go outside in the snow for walking,coasting,just enjoying it.Driving in that is not a great idea.
I love the contrasts in winter of the cold snow outside and the warmth and coziness inside.
We lose that when we get heat extending into autumn ,winter and spring.
Lau, yes it looks beautiful, but in two days or whenever start melting it looks nasssssty.

This is why we retired and moved to Central America. This gives me chills watching this. After falling and hurting myself on ice 3 times, we could take no more. Bless you all living in that storm.
Same thing happened to me where I slipped and fell 3 times over 2 days, all 3 times immediately after getting off a bus or immediately before getting on a bus

The car at 02:16 is an AWD Subaru with winter tire treads. The only thing this vehicle could use as an improvement is higher ground clearance and for that one generally buys a different type of vehicle such as full size SUV, Jeep/Bronco, or 4WD pickup truck..

Advice: shovel snow to the right of your driveway in the road. Shoveling to the left of your driveway means the plow will be plowing that back into your driveway. Just a suggestion.

It took me 8 hours yesterday to clean up the long driveway, front yard, backyard and deck. I did 2 rounds of 4 hours each with both shovel and snow blower. Muscle aches start kicking in.😣
The snow tasted so salty. Not sure if it is supposed to be that way. My jacket got the white salty stains on it.

Tastes salty because it was blowing snow mixed with the falling snow. Snow that had already hit some surfaces before being carried back into the sky and falling somewhere else.

Great job! I must say, that Subaru driver was an idiot! He wasn’t even stuck! Every time he gave it throttle it would move forward but then he would stop! That’s infuriating to watch!
I thought the same!!! Every time the car started moving he cut the throttle. Snow tyres , ESP off and gently give throttle , that's the way!

A lot of cars stuck, yes. But same thing happened to the buses which were stuck and in some locations parked in a diagonal position
POOR DRIVING SKILLS ON THIS DRIVER’S PART. Driving right into a pile of snow makes no sense when the roads have been plowed.
Keep your wheels straight when stuck. Put some 30 pound bags of kitty litter over each wheel in the truck.
If you don't have the ground clearance and bottom out in the snow, all wheel drive still isn't much help.

If you are stuck in the snow... turn off your traction control and turned it back on after recovery before proceeding driving...

yo i remember that morning quite well.. i looked outside at 2am pure blizzard go out to do the snow with the snowblower there was like 2 feet of snow in the driveway and it took 2 hours to do.. lol

Well they got to sell you stuff in a climate like that people need to buy firewood insulation etc. Summer heat they need air conditioning you should see the hydro bills there.

I had a blast in my 4x4 Jeep KJ just put it in 4hi and im off . I just cruise at speeds that would make others stuck without momentum(30km). i cant wait for another storm. I have more than enough ground clearance and amazing winter tires by Cooper.

All season tires are “NOT” snow tires. The rubber and the treads are different. All season tires are useless at -7 C. In addition, spinning your tires is creating heat which is causing the snow to become ice, thus making things worse.
You kno nothing.. i get around fine on my all season tires u jus have to kno how to drive properlly and not like an idiot in a rush
