I like that her fighting style is so sloppy, awkward, unrefined, and dependent solely on growing big to make up the difference from her lack of fighting experience unlike Scott and Hope who are pros. This could lead to good growth for her down the line to improve and put her in situations where she can't just rely on her size and must use good tactics and strategies as well. The potential is there.

i know that in comics,cassie dont actually need pym particles,and in fact she can become much bigger than scott and hank,she has a preference for onyl use her giant form,its was rare for her shrink

The recast was a mistake. I can't say Kathryn is a bad actress bc this is the only thing I've seen her in. But this was not a good performance.
Don't blame Newton. Blame the script.
She was in Big Little Lies, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Lady Bird, Ben is Back and BBC’s Little Women. I really liked her in the first two.
On TV she was in Supernatural, Halt and Catch Fire and an episode of Mad Men.

@@texel76in some cases it is. As an actor I know that directors and scripts can fail the actors in giving a believable performance. And yes there are some bad actors and actresses but Kathryn definitely isn’t a bad actress. I feel like they wanted this film to be so comical when it deals with serious characters like Kang I’m not saying he was the problem but with that story and that terrible script. Not to mention the mixed themes in the same scenes it’s a lot. But Kathryn Newton’s acting is the smallest problem with this movie.

in the comics, Cassie initially becomes Stature and joined the Young Avengers, but she briefly died and was brought back to life without her Pym Particle powers
she then made a few deals here and there with shady people and got her Pym Particle powers back, she puts on a new costume and becomes Stinger
as Stature, Cassie can only change her size using Pym Particles, but as Stinger, Cassie changes size, can fly using mechanical wings, and can communicate/control all kinds of insects thanks to her helmet that also doubles over as a radio
Cassie and her father, Scott Lang Antman, fight crime together as a duo
I would love to see with Wasp and other Marvel females of this universe fighting together.
Underrated. Ol' girl was going hard in the paint.
