    Hello, Great job!! your video is so much helpful.
    I have a question, Do I need to validate the day pass for each mode of transport when I use them ?

    • @letsdoparis
      @letsdoparis  4 месяца назад

      @venumadhav6756 Thank you for your question! Yes, when using a Paris metro day pass (or week pass or month pass), you must validate EACH TRIP by passing your pass (card or smartphone or smartwatch) in front of the card reader. This will give you access to your chosen mode of transportation. I hope this helps. Happy travels!

    Hi~ I have some questions regarding using the Navigo on Apple Watch.
    If the Navigo tickets were purchased by selecting “Apple Watch”, will they be useable on the iPhone Wallet as well (can the Navigo on the Apple Watch wallet be linked to the iPhone wallet)?
    Also, when using Navigo on Apple Watch, is it required to double tap the bottom right button (to activate the Apple Watch wallet) when holding the watch near the reader?
    Love this video by the way~ 🥰 it helped to clarify some questions about how to purchase the Navigo tickets on Apple Watch.

      Hi @etherealstory7659!
      - No, sad to say, your Apple Watch wallet tickets are separate from iPhone wallet. You'll have to buy for iPhone wallet separately if you want to use your iPhone for a digital Navigo card. 😠 BTW, I don't see a lot of people using iPhone wallet for that yet, but I did see one young couple use their iPhones to access the bus. Loved that!
      - Yes, and no. YES, you need to double tap the button then scroll to the Navigo card, but NO, it doesn't have to be when holding the watch near the reader. I did mine before I got near the reader. If you watch at the end of the video, when I'm trying out the metro, I have the card ready, when I'm going down the metro stairs.
      SO GLAD YOU LOVE THE VIDEO. Let me know if you have any other questions about Paris that I can make into a video for you. Have fun and Let's Do Paris! 🇫🇷

      @etherealstory7659 - More great news! I just discovered that you don't even need to double-click to use your Navigo card on Apple Watch if you enable "Express Mode." 🙌👏🥳
      Here's how you enable Express Mode on your Navigo card in Apple Watch wallet:
      1. Go to your Apple Watch wallet by double-clicking the side button of your Apple Watch
      2. Scroll until you see the Ile de France Navigo card
      3. Tap the Navigo card to select it
      4. Scroll down to "Card Details" and tap the "i" information icon
      5. Scroll down to Express Mode
      6. Tap to turn on Express Mode
      Once you're ready to use it on public transport, Here's what Apple says to do:
      How to use Express Mode on your iPhone or Apple Watch
      - Hold the top of your iPhone or the display of your Apple Watch near the contactless reader.
      - When the transaction is successful, a checkmark and Done appear on your device. If you're riding transit, the terminal gate opens and might beep.
      - That's it-no need to wake or unlock your device, authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode, or open the Wallet app.
      Hope this helps!!

    Just subscribed to your channel! (#103 🤪)Please clear this up for me: In other words, I may buy, on the Bonjour RATP app on my iPhone, a Navigo ticket(s) in the USA, before arriving in Paris? .. and then what about buying Navigo Easy Pass, in the USA, on my iPhone, as well? Also, when I get to Paris will US credit cards work in the Metro vending machines, or is our Chip and Pin different then in France and Europe?

    • @letsdoparis
      @letsdoparis  3 месяца назад +1

      @jacmaclar Thank you for subscribing and thank you for your questions! Here are my responses:
      1 - Yes, you may buy Navigo tickets in the USA before arriving in Paris. You may do this using the Bonjour RATP app on your iPhone. You may ALSO buy Navigo tickets to put on your smartphone or smartwatch via the IDF Mobilités app. (In this video, I use the Bonjour app.)
      2 - Yes, you may also buy a Navigo pass (month, week, day) in the USA before arriving in Paris. You can do this via the Bonjour RATP app on your smartphone. You can also use the IDF Mobilités app.
      3 - Yes, most US credit cards will work with the metro vending machines. I have used US bank cards extensively with no problem.
      I hope this answers your questions. If you'd like more clarification, just let me know. Hope you have a great time in Paris!

      @@letsdoparis Thanks for the info! In other words , I may purchase either RER B tickets from CDG to Paris plus Metro Zone 1+2 tickets with my Bonjour RATP app by clicking the Apple Watch icon, in the Bonjour RATP App, when buying a ticket(s) and the tickets (for both) will automatically show up on my Apple Watch-or must I get another app for this to happen? Thanks again!
