It’s hard to believe that Magnus thought of himself like this. When I look at him I see a very generous soul who gave everything he had and helped countless others find there way in the downworld. I think that when he met Alec he still had some doubts about it but when he showed his eyes to him for the first time and Alec didn’t recoil and told Magus they were beautiful not ugly but beautiful that he starts to believe it.
