Oh, maybe cucumber, tomato, and onion salad for a light side during the summer? Such a weird question. Then again, this was on in the late 70s/early 80s, the "let's turn everything into a gelatin mold" era, and that ain't happening in my house either.

I sometimes marinate my potatoes, carrots, and onions with the meat when making a roast.
