20 O Son of Spirit! My claim on thee is great, it cannot be forgotten. My grace to thee is plenteous, it cannot be veiled. My love has made in thee its home, it cannot be concealed. My light is manifest to thee, it cannot be obscured.
Mr. Price, your talks, your music, your interviews and your knowledge of the Faith have been inspiring and empowering me to no end. Words fail to express my gratitude to you. You bring back to mind the love and commitment of the Hands of the Cause. More power to you ❤
Many many........ thanks for Mr Price for your great job in this inspiring and powerful hidden words put into music . Heavenly ..Appreciated with love and gratitude❤
For "edited" versions for devotions you can play any single Hidden Word by itself from the playlist (ruclips.net/p/PLGoDd4Nz3ezlq-LFvJ8HK9ib3KbChXDrv) This longer file is designed for personal long meditation, or while walking or driving, etc, as people have asked to have them in this form, as well as each individual piece. You have the choice.
@@Thomas_Price I mean, I edit them so that the Hidden Word is how it is in the book. First I know that in Feast you can use music inspired by the writings. Which these clearly are. But, I personally like the readings for Feast to be as written. I love your work, it is GREAT! It is just a personal thing. But, I still make them sound great for my purposes.
@@jimbarnes6979 I see…. of course, these are ‘musical versions’ of the Hidden Words, not a recitation, word for word, as printed in the book, because that would not be musical. Music needs balance and symmetry and repetition of melodies and phrases. Shoghi Effendi wrote “I would advise you to give a musical form to the revealed word itself which I feel will be exceedingly effective.” In these versions there are no different or extra words beyond what is in the written text, and nothing left out either. The only difference is repetition of key words and phrases, which I hope helps to focus on the meaning. There are websites (particularly Ocean 2.0) with recordings of the Hidden Words spoken as printed in the book, which may be useful for your purposes. I created these pieces because Shoghi Effendi said “It is the music which assists us to affect the human spirit; it is an important means which helps us to communicate with the soul.” There are some people who do chant the Writings as printed without repetition, which is also nice, but I prefer a style that employs repetition, for musical reasons as well as to enhance meditation. In the Messiah, Handel repeated the word “Hallelujah” 48 times (and other words dozens of times) but, as far as I know, no one has ever complained about that, because the purpose of setting the Holy Word to music is different to reciting them aloud. I take you’re your point, so when I finish all 153 Hidden Words in this style (probably in about eighteen months) I will try to write simple melodies which only sing the exact text without repetition, which may be useful for memorization, but they would be quite different to what is here.
I should also add that if you go to this playlist ruclips.net/user/playlist?app=desktop&list=PLGoDd4Nz3ezl-NSwymNIdXvZopFxDbE3H you can hear each Hidden Word recited first before it is sung. I have only included the first 14 so far, but I will add more to this playlist in the future.
@@Thomas_Price About contemporary, I mean we have plenty of slow, and soft. These are well done. What I mean is that the Baha'i Faith is Joy as well and should be celebrated as such too. Both way can be reverent
