I played this song at my wedding.
I’m wondering if the first half of the music video is all of his fan base wanting more and more from him, he’s running and feels like he can’t keep up with the demand and disappears. Especially when he says “silence please, this is what you need”. For the sake of his health, he’s being told that he needs to lay off for a bit and relax. Now that he’s back; the speakers shaped as a cross show how his music saves him. He’s able to create new songs, heal and maybe feels more like who he truly is, which explains the flashes of the real Joji. Instead of a performative persona he puts on when he’s performing and in the public eye again.

I like to interpret it as him creating the characters at the start of the video and just "running with it", like him escaping into the computer was a tool he used to escape his current reality at the time, creating these characters like filthy frank and the other characters to cope with the mundane reality. I also like to guess that him using a body double is a way to symbolize that it's him, but not really him (or he doesn't feel like himself), for example from the start and the majority of the video it's his body double running in his creative universe, but it wasn't the real him, and through him exploring music he was able to find a glimpse of his real self
I feel it like a goodbye… maybe I’m crazy but it feels like he’s sick of all this, how everyone wants him to be things, but he can’t be himself. It feels too similar to the end of filthy frank, maybe he’s killing Joji too, and this is the end.

@aeter2300 thing is he chose to be Joji over FF for his own personal reasons. The issue then was 88 rising wanting him to just bump out tiktok songs, which isn't the direction he wanted, but now he was able to move on. This isn't a goodbye. It's more like a "Hello, *I'm* Joji."

PD. Ok I think I get it now. He discovers a whole world in the internet where he becomes someone (pinkguy) but he's always trying to run in front of everyone, trying to be on top, until others start passing him and he realizes it's his time to "escape through the cracks". He lands on the world of music and an idol appears in front of him, like a messiah, a salvation of that world he just left. The cross probably represents 88rising and the helmet is the control it had over him and his music. Finally he takes off the mask and frees himself from those ties, remembering who he used to be before everything (the guy in the room looking inside the screen), who he is now.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Looks like the contrast between early RUclips days to then becoming like famous musician but becoming increasingly lonely/putting on a mask/headset, probably worsened under 88rising and his contract with them. Then the explosion probably symbolized his departure from 88 and the ability to become something new entirely, under his own direction
for the first part of the video it seemed like he was lonely and wanted somewhere to express himself but when he blew up as filthy/joji it was cool and colorful but the pressure of everyone running after him was too much and he found a way to cope (the hole)

2) The cross could be easily music itself, why should it be 88 rising? And the woman is "a muse".
3) If the cross is representing music/his music career in general and it gets destroyed and him basically lying d€@d with his head in the monitor, I don't think the ending is that positive.
