      I hadn't watched this since I made it. Good times, I hope you have a great day here and all throughout your cruise.

    Montenegro is a new location for me - not made it. Sterling effort in your ascent to the Fort - and how is it that the Benedictines always seem to get the best locations? Bravo - great video and good to see the family having a memorable time.

    Cool! Kotor is the most beautiful place in Montenegro! St. John's fortress is very interesting and big fortress from Byzantine empire times)

    What amazing scenery! I can't believe you walked up all those steps with Alex. Now I'm not so proud of walking 20 minutes on level ground today! Kudos to you both. A lot of nice family shots in here as well. I think you should include a map at the end of your videos-then again there is always Google! Very nice, Tony.

    Very good video. We did the same cruise may 2013 and it was poor weather the entire cruise, raining and cold every day

    Yes, it's about 150 yards from where the tender boat docked. The ride to Perast and back costs €50 (but there were 6 of us) and takes about 45 minutes. That was the 2 o'clock 'sailing' and I think they leave on the hour.

      From memory, I think it took us 50 minutes to go up on a very hot day, but we stopped a fair bit for photos. If you allow an hour that will be plenty. Say 5 minutes at the top to look around and around 25 mins to come down. And take a bottle of water with you !

    Perfect video, and I am hoping for the age of 65 to climb those steps for the stunning view. Can I ask how long to get up there from the ship?

    • @Cornishpastyman
      @Cornishpastyman  Год назад

      From memory it was 45-50 minutes going up (on a very hot day) and 25 coming down. You can't go that quickly coming down as there are occasional slightly uneven steps. So allow about 90 minutes in all. Take a bottle of water and use suitable footwear.

    Was that a Dutch flag at the beginning?
    It was really beautiful.
    We're going to see Kotor this year.

    • @Cornishpastyman

      Yes, very easy to swim, with the ship a couple of hundred yards away.
