My favorite ultraman has always been Leo. He had suffered the most, losing his planet, defense team, and loved ones. He also lost so many fights, in Mebius when they pulled up his data it even states that he loses almost every fight but always comes back stronger and wins. Watching him working so hard to improve and also getting abused by seven also shows that he works very hard, in like half of the episodes it shows him coming back unleashing a new move to beat his opponent. What else I like about him is he is a very simple fighter, he comes in and beats people up, he generally uses less beam moves than the other ultramen and don't even get me on the new ones where its takes them like a minute to transform and like 5 min to get into their required form after transforming (I'm looking at you ultraman zero from the ultraman geed series)
And thats why we love him, he always gets up after losing a fight never giving up, and haft the time he doesn't even need his beam attacks to beat his victims lmao
Remember when he scold and teach Mebius/Mirai of becoming an Ultra warrior, and how he is quite harsh towards his fighting. If you ever think that he is critical or harsh towards Mebius, then try to watched Ultraman Leo's series. And see how harsh his life was and the hardships he endured from Ultraseve/Dan's training sessions that he sometimes nearly die from training.

I came back after watching the whole series.All i can say is,i can never listen to this song without getting emotional again because i keep thinking of how much leo went through in the series especially in the last 11 episodes

For a lot of people growing up, Leo may not have been their childhood ultraman. But for me, Leo was the most distinct and most memorable to me. From the designs, to music, to the story, to the fighting style, Leo checked all the boxes for it to become my favorite. The music in particular was my favorite thing about Leo. I heard the actor that plays Leo was a professional singer irl too so thats cool. "Ballad of the Starry Sky" is my favorite song by far. I still find myself whistling to this song from time to time.
Ultraman Leo. The only Ultra to have a harshest and painful life and history. He lost his parents, his got destroyed, he failed to protect the first city the supposed to protect (Leo's first fight against Alien Magma and the Giras brothers), his friends and comrades got killed one by one, her girlfriend and closest children friends are killed and eaten alive by Silverblome. He lost almost everything. But he never give up. He keeps moving forward. He fights to the very end. He become a very fierce and fearless Ultra warrior that embodies' the spirit of the Leo constellation. Despite all that happens to him, he never lose himself. Although he once grave for revenge and was blinded by it, with Seven/Dan's guidance he becomes more mature, brave, wise, and stoic despite all those hardships. He is the embodiment of a person who keeps moving forward despite all the hardships in life. He is.. ULTRAMAN LEO!!!!
Finally after watching UGF:TDC, it's really refreshing to see the Leo Brothers kicking Tartarus ass without needing any power up.. with everything Leo has faced and endured, he deserves such great treatment..
Leo has a special place in my childhood along with the original. I also like how this theme fits the show's tone, it's not going on about how fast he can fly or how flashy his beam is like other themes, it's about what Leo is and destines to do. And he is not at all playing.
I know that everyone talks about his backstory, but let's take a minute to appreciate his technique. Unlike his predecessors excluding taro, nearly all of them use brawling as their base of combat

最近では何かレオの打撃音のが重かったり、スーパーグランドキングスペクターにアストラが殴ったり蹴ってもビクともしなかったのを、レオが蹴り入れたら地味に後退してたから、レオのがパワーあるような感じはあるけど
長年奴隷だったアストラの格闘は完全我流の喧嘩殺法らしい。
そのため、レオより落ち着いた性格に見えるが戦い方は、アストラの方が荒々しいと言う。
幼稚園児の時におふくろがTSUTAYAでビデオ借りていいよって言ってくれて、その時たまたま選んだのがウルトラマンレオでその後も何故か全話観るまで借りてくれた
それから30年経った今でも一番好きなウルトラマンはレオ！

ぶっちゃけ頭がカッコ良すぎる
昔は未熟だったレオが今ではすっかり東方不敗ポジに
元々肉弾戦の素質はえげつなく高かったし、何なら本編開始前にゴリゴリ武闘派のマグマ星人総帥をレオはサシで倒しとるんやで
メビウスの時に一度客演があっただけで、そこからギンガまで不遇だったけど、アストラ、エース、ギンガですら攻撃してもその場から動かなかったスーパーグランドキングに対して、蹴りで後退させたり最近はレオが出る=勝ち確みたいに優遇されてて嬉しい

ウル銀もあったし、メビウス辺りからスポットが徐々に当たり始めたって感じじゃないかな？
あと、グラキン戦は無敵状態だったから撃退より寧ろ時間稼ぎしてたで？
最後はみんなで光線一斉射して倒したけど。

アストラとかギンガとか、エースが殴ったり蹴ったりしても後退しない中、レオ兄さんが蹴りを入れたら後ろに後退してたことを言ってるんだが…
@@ぽん_Gorilla 一説によると、ニュージェネの作品のほとんどの監督の坂本監督のお気に入りのウルトラマンがレオだから出番が増えたと聞きましたね。そんな坂本監督の初めてのウルトラマン作品のウルトラ銀河伝説でゼロの師匠になりそのゼロがニュージェネを支えていくのはなんとも感慨深いっすね。
特徴がデザインと設定の両方で目立つからなのかな
この時代、破滅を望んだ人が多いと聞きました。
破滅の予言は出されるし、レオは故郷を人々を友達を仲間を師匠を、何もかも失ってなお、地球の為に戦った。
暗い世界で暗い世の中だからこそ、
「今、この平和を壊しちゃいけない」って歌詞が泣ける……

Leo is a great contrast to Taro where it was much more colorfull entry, with Leo being amoung the more darker entry and mabey the most violent.

僕はメビウスの世代だけど一番好きなのはレオだなぁ
（昔のウルトラマンで）レオはほかのウルトラマンたちに比べて戦闘シーンがめちゃダイナミックだし、主題歌もかっこいいし見た目もかっこいいしレオはもう全部がかっこいい（語彙力崩壊）
