tip for you to try and do this set up 5 fueling stations around jupiter and each moon, you will need them to refuel when you get into the orbit of jupiter, dock to the first station and transfer fuel from there to your rocket after you undock and go to the first moon, dock and refuel, land then get to the orbit, dock and refuel again, continue repeating the same with the other moons and then fly back to earth using the remaining fuel
@@Janjiphoudtvankip Then record the entire mission. Most of my comment section consists of ppl bragging that they have done missions like: Moon mission under 15 tons or going to venus and back twice without any proof/video.
This is why doing a mission first try is impossible. You need to test the rocket first and then you can build a new rocket to improve it. Meh, I've done a 40 ton jupiter mission anyways.
For ion engines i recommend to clip them multiple times. once enough it should be able to get out of all of jupiter moons with one lander and save lots of fuel. i have tried this mission before but sadly i didnt have enough fuel to return back to earth.
yeah I used that method as well, it's very efficient and fuel saving, I used it in one of my vids btw. 8/10 would recommend! Just don't clip too much engines, and you don't have to worry about heat damage, Ion engines don't produce heat
11:45 a problem here was that you put the rocket in low Jovian orbit although I have a feeling putting them on high Jovian orbit would require less Delta V to send them to the low Jovian orbit moons.
Calm down there nothing to worry about, maybe he will just make it another day or he was planning to make a video but he got tired. Reply from me if you have any question, I will always answer.
good job! i did this like 3 times on a two stage rocket, with of course, dlc parts and bp editing, did it with no cheats as well, and the fact that you did this after not playing the game for months is impressive
Lets break chip with some dip Also fun fact: Earth and Io are the only known objects in the solar system with active volcanism. Hence why Io looks like that. Whilst Earth's volcanoes are driven by primordial energy(heat from the core), Io's volcanoes are caused by Jupiter's gravitational pull on it
A problem I kept noticing with both the rendezvous and transfer back to Earth is that you kept warping to near the points but not to the points specifically. If you clicked on the points to warp to them, then no matter where they are you will always be at those points when you reach them.
Hey chip, I don’t think it’s out on pc yet but if you want to test out landers for certain planets there is a teleport option in the cheats so you can teleport to any planet’s surface or be in orbit. Hope this helps!
even as someone with over 3 years with experience at spaceflight simulator, it's still hard to complete your mission if I was in your place, my rocket would have to be massive for me to go to 4 moons of jupiter and it would take 20 minutes. Appreciate the effort!
pro tip: you can use Jupiter atmosphere to help slow you down into orbit easier and it is fuel efficient(and of courses you need heat shield to do that).
Sure, but then you need a ton of Delta v to get out of low Jupiter orbit. I think his mistake was inserting into a low Jupiter orbit in the first place, if he had inserted into a high orbit it would have taken way less fuel. Could even get into a retrograde orbit and use the moon's gravity themselves to help slow down, it would take multiple passes but it should work
Space Chip did you know that you can simulate interstellar space by using these 2 planet packs in Spaceflight Simulator, The planet packs are the Entire Milky Way or Mini Milky Way. I have the Mini Milky Way Pack in Spaceflight Simulator already.
There’s a angler telling you how to orbit on the left it says 0.0/0.0 0.0/0.5 0.0/10.0 0.0/20.0 0.0/30.0 All the way up to 0.0/75.0 It represents the angle that you need to orbit it will change time to time When it’s gone you go sideways Time warp near the white dot on the way your going Then point your rocket down then thrust Then do the same thing again but thrust left Until it’s an orbit. Then you’re done.
I tried to do a mission that I decided to go to the sun and try something crazy and it didn’t go well. Literally it started lagging everything got like messed up and stuff and I was like trying to handle this and everything because I have no idea.
