Imagine the person who created those animatronic’s actually added a secret device inside of them. This device when activated by either a press of the red button on the device or by activation by a remote that control’s the device, this device turns the animatronic’s from cute fun friends into Nightmare Animatronic’s. The spring Bonnie and Fredbear plushies have this device in them, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy also has this device inside them, the Puppet has one and Ballon Boy has one. With Chica, Bonnie and The Fredbear plush, their are two modes of nightmare, for Bonnie and Chica their is normal nightmare mode and Jack-o’-lantern nightmare mode, and with the little Fredbear plushy, their is also two modes, their is normal nightmare mode and Dark Nightmare mode. The One who Recreated the Animatronics is the owner of an old animatronic factory and this guy who recreated the animatronic’s is also a mad man and he experiments with life energy and it comes in the form of either purple or deep blue lightning. The Factory Owner also made his own animatronic head that he wears on top of his head as a hat. This guy’s eye Color is yellow. Their are also the Building Owners and the AI. Their are lots of characters I made up and I am trying to figure out a way to fit this cartoon version of Fnaf with the lore. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy don’t know that they were built with a device in them that can turn them into Nightmare Animatronic’s.The Owner of the Animatronic Factory is the great Nephew of William Afton, the first purple guy and The Factory Owner is also the cousin of the modern Purple Guy, the Jerk Purple Guy. I can find lots of ways to connect this to the original Fnaf story, all I got to say is this is Modern Day Fazbear Entertainment Company.

A lot of people seem not to get the idea of the series being its own thing meanwhile still being a FNaF based show, it means certain depictions or interactions aren't 100% parallel to the canon story thus why we get (admittedly weird) stuff like Purple Guy and The Puppet dating; It doesn't work in the franchise's canon, but it works on this universe's canon as in-universe Purple Guy and The Animatronics are completely separate entities, meaning Purple Guy here can be just a guy who worked at Freddy's and is just an overall dutch, and The Puppet is just an standalone sentient animatronic who wants to dates for whatever reason.
The way to enjoy the series is by being in with the joke rather than trying to explain it, these loosely follow the FNaF story and takes a lot of creative freedom if it helps for the story and humor in universe. Basically, this is what would've been if in the game-universe there was a FNaF show based on the tainted franchise Freddy's is, an actual show meant to entertain using Freddy's image and doesn't go further than that.
