To those curious bout the ending of this game: Maude and Sam manage to pay off all the bills and the shadow folk return with more of their kind to eat at the restaurant. With time, the estabilishment becomes lively again and the Shadowcatcher turns into one of its employees, since so many of the shadow ppl were crossing the border to visit the restaurant He ends up much happier with his new job too! :)

The shadows then return three nights later with some more friends which helps keep business booming, and the shadowcatcher? He had a change of heart and got a job at Maudes Diner.

Alright, these are some tips I discovered playing myself, if you decide to give this another try. I'll go in order of the night 1. If you want, you could put at least two pots of water on the stove, as well as putting the shredder cheese over there, getting that out of the way. 2. For night one, there are two sound queues for the Shadow Catcher. Slow walking, and a dragging type sound. With the dragging sound, it's kinda low, but it means he's either on his way, or at the door doing some weird shit. 3. I recommend putting all repaired dishes on the little counter between the grill and stove. It's a shorter trip for Sam. Also, waiting until all the dishes are done to take them to the shadows. Once he comes in once, you should have enough time to run back and forth. 4. On night two, it's just about the same as night two, just with him running. 5. Now night 2 and 3. A new sound is added. The slow walking, running, dragging, and finally, just a few steps, like one or two. (If you hear that one step, you won't have much time. 💀) After he comes through the door, using Maude, you can peek and see if he's walking away. IF he isn't, or you don't hear the slow footsteps, then he's still at the door and will come back in shortly, which is another reason to wait until all dishes are ready to run back and forth. 6. On night three, instead of keeping Maude just hidden in the kitchen, you can keep her at the edge of the table, close to the exit of the kitchen, and microwave. The good thing, having Sam on one side of the diner, you'll be able to hear the walking, just in case. Also, if you have a fridge door open, Maude can hide behind that. 7. A simple tip for orders, if they don't ask for it, don't give it to them. I was debating whether the little girl wanted the mac n cheese sandwich, or pancakes. Again, if they don't ask for it, don't give it. So of course, if she didn't ask for breakfast, you know.
