This is by far one of my favorite versions of the lightsaber workshop I have ever seen. The person leading was so into character, I could feel the emotion through the recording.
He was really good.
When my girlfriend and I went back in 2019, our gatherer sounded EXACTLY like Liam Neeson as Qui Gon. He was a bit more energetic but there were moments where I had total Master and Apprentice vibes from him. Seriously made everything so much better and is a core memory for me.
Agreed! That cast member was fantastic. He actually cared about what he was saying and presented it in an interesting way.

Just watching these videos getting ready for my trip but wanted to mention an Easter egg kind of. Earlier in the day I found a black kyber crystal and when I went to savis I showed it to the gatherer telling the story and I got a personal interaction and dialog about how it’s a rare and beautiful find
I remember the time I went in to galaxy edge in Orlando in November 2019. It was amazing, my only regret is that I never got the chance to pilot the falcon. Because I always get pick for the gunner and engineer…oh well there’s always next time….

Dan-O- I have to say again thank you for these videos. Love how you are taking the time to relate your entire experience as it happened. I found this episode extra fun for some reason. I got to visit Batuu in early 2020 (two weeks before shutdown), and this is the first video I've seen since then that was close to capturing my excitement. The cast member leading your lightsaber session was fantastic. Probably one of the best I've seen. That moment when he holds up the shaft and practically worships it was priceless. This is the way it should be there. I didn't think I'd be interested in watching the droid build again, but I was actually psyched for your cohort, and enjoyed his excitement at building the droid. I didn't know they had white ones to customize - that was pretty nifty. I also enjoyed the backstory you provided on the missions- my wife and I have been trying to piece together the story - in case we ever do get to visit - we want to know which ones we'd be involved in to get the most of of the trip - and I can't wait to rewatch this with her, as you provided some fun details. Also am very much looking forward to your engagement with Gaya next time around. Great stuff - thanks for sharing your joy. Can't wait to watch more. Also, I must add, that even though I'm a middle-aged SW fan, your video made me fetch out the saber I built at Saavi's while you were in the workshop. I really think that was one of the most outstanding experiences of my trip to Batuu. Thanks again!
Oh, once more thing - are you planning to do a panel discussion with your roommates to get a group feedback on your experience (similar to what you did before leaving)?

I don't know if you'll see this, but I was wondering if you were able to access any of your mission info from the panel in your room (the one with the helpful droid) or if you could only do it at on the terminals around the ship?
As far as I could tell it was only through the terminals around the ship and Datapad. The droid panel in the room was just for the droid.

Maybe I missed it, but you mentioned three of your friends went to the bathroom and you and someone else did the mission ahead of them, did the people who went to the bathroom not receive the same mission?
No it glitched out for them and we had to get some help at the concierge. I’ll explain what happened in the next part.

Yeah these all have spoilers. Only the ones that say spoiler free don’t have spoilers for right now. I’ve got 2 more parts to this adventure and then I’ll be back to normal vids and then some interviews with friends.

Curious, Dan-o, did you still have to make reservations at Savi’s and Droid Depot? Or was it planned as part of the excursion?
Those had to be booked through a Starcruiser specialist. They have a certain amount of reservations held just for Starcruiser guests
@@Dan-O so then the “missions” aren’t really, like, time specific I guess? And did starcruiser guests get special lines for the rides too?
@@xela95 they aren’t time specific on Batuu. Some missions are time specific on the Starcruiser though. And we got lightning lanes for both Galaxy’s edge rides. So we had little to no wait for both.

I'm your newest fan, and because of you my fiancee and I are going to plan a trip on the galactic starcruiser and build droids. I'll for sure book through your friend Sara, but I had a couple of questions I felt you could answer.
1) How many droids can you build per visit? Because I want to build six, one for each personality chip. I also want the R2D2 premade, but that should be obvious at this point.
2) Will the Halcyon staff take our droids to our room for us?
3) Will I have problems finding all the parts I want? I have six very specific builds in mind. I'm aiming for one of each head with a color scheme to match the personality chip.
4) Do you have any suggestions or advice on building droids?
5) Will I need a reservation as a passenger on the Halcyon?

HI Dan - I may have missed it, but did you state if you believe it is still a great idea to build the droids and light sabers during the star cruiser stay? or did you think it was not. To me it seems like it is a great add on?

But I feel like building a droid and lightsaber are always a great thing to do and always recommend it. Especially if it’s your first or only time going to Galaxy’s edge.
But as far as galactic starcruiser goes, it didn’t add anything to my story. Initially I thought maybe the experiences would be a little different because it was booked through starcruiser and it was the exact same experience as always. But, if you want to dive in and let your character seek out the gatherers at Savi’s and get in touch with the force, or if you want to have a new friend with you for day 2’s missions then go for it and make it part of your story.
@@Dan-O thanks. This is more for someone who have never been at all. Main thing is I didn’t want it to take away from the star cruiser
@@bgsnmky it doesn’t take away. It does make your morning on Batuu much busier though. If you do it, be sure to book it through a starcruiser specialist so it’s part of your itinerary. Starcruiser guests have access to a special allotment of reservations. It’s one of the perks.
Wait so did ogas do anything with the story of no cause I booked that and i didn’t hear in the video you saying if it did anything with your story or not
Soo we did have to ask for info at Oga’s but even if we didn’t have a reservation the could have provided us with what we needed outside of Oga’s. It’s not necessary but it’s fun 🤷🏽♂️

For as much as they charge for Galactic Cruiser it should come with a Droid and a Light Saber .
