Would mention that you could have used an extra chunky long section of copper for the head... Simply over heating till cherry red as it falls towards the cooler parts and groups into lumpier bodies.
You can then smack with a hammer 1-2 times and get the same result for alot less messing around with other methods.
Note this will work on almost any type of wire. A small amount of metal specific flux can improve results but it is unnecessary!
