Keep in mind, cabinet trash bins will make the inside of the cabinets dirty, (most kids don't even look when tossing something in the bin), and the wood holds onto smells.
I love this video, because you have put appliance in a working area. You making sure your plenty drawers and cabinets. Look at some of the designs outdoor eating area on my website. DIY.
For me, that depends where the door to the outside is. You want your culinary herbs to be in a south facing garden, and I can't tell you how much I value being able to take just a few steps from the stove to the garden when I'm cooking. If I had to walk halfway around the house every time I forgot to pick thyme for the chicken or whatever, I'd give up gardening, lol.
I'm doing a kitchen renovation, so I'm watching a bunch of videos to make sure I'm not missing anything. What SHOCKS me to infinity is people actually use microwaves. With all the information a click away, EVERYONE should know the poison your food turns into when using a microwave. I haven't had one in over 15 years, and to see kids eating "food", and I use that term loosely, zapped to toxic waste in a microwave makes me ache. Don't get me started on LED lights, ughhhhh.
It seems more likely "everyone" should do some basic scientific research on safety of microwaves. LED lights aren't a problem either. But sure, go detoxify with your healing crystals, it looks like your chakras are out of balance.
Instead of hunting through kitchen tours etc for ideas, this just presented all the info and options. LOVE it. Thank you!!

And kitchens should always be facing east to get the morning sun. But sadly most homes are built not utilizing solar and wind orientation.
That's an opinion. Orientation does not matter that much.

It would be way easier to clean that type of pull out microwave vs a regular one.
