Hi Romi, I was out secondhand shopping yesterday and went to the plate section and thought of you the whole time made me smile and chuckle and happy inside❤️
You showed so much restraint with the plates today! Well done. You definitely found some great items! I loved the Fenton. I need to rethink some of the religious items I see. They seem to sell for a good price. Have a great weekend!
@@conniesmokegearsphotograph4829 I'm really surprised by some of the religious items as well. Really nice pieces and people will spend money on their faith and things that bring them peace and joy.
@@RomysRetro I think people also collect them because of the art aspect and use them for decoration. I love religious art, but I'm Christian, I have a friend who is not Christian at all but she still collects statues of the Virgin Mary because she finds them beautiful :)
Morning, nice scores today. Love the tile platter & trinket dish. So glad you reunited the shakers with the little dude. Just saw that Fenton piece go at auction last week for $27.50. That was a fun trip, thanks for sharing. As always, Romy Rocks!
I thought of you when I picked up the trinket dish actually. Mama Lou is gonna be sad if I don't buy this. She's gonna leave a comment that she liked it you're gonna feel bad. 😆😆
i thought of you today when i was thrifting...found some Homer Laughlin plates 1930s floral pattern and had to walk away, went back 3 times...LOL i have a plate problem also smh...im not a reseller so they just sit at my house..LOL
@@vandracula001 you're the second person to comment on that. I totally didn't even notice it. LOL 😂😂😂 it's so hideous but very cool. I need to pay closer attention to the crazy stuff!! 🤣🤣🤣🥰
Yay! You went to Savers lol. In the last part of the video when you were looking at the heavy metal (😂) figurines, there was a weird alligator next to them. I totally would have bought the alligator! And the Asian dudes playing chess may have been mud men. I pick them up sometimes after looking them up. Some are quite valuable.
I have sold a mudman figure before, yes! They probably were worth something. Looked to be that same style. Thank you for recommending Saver's! It reminded me to look for that coupon! 😍
@@juliepowell6656 welcome back!! I know you've been going through some stuff. You're in my thoughts. Have fun getting away with me for a little while here and there! 🥰🤗
Hi, thank you for all you do, very entertaining. I was watching some of your older videos again and you nention your friend Travis. Does he have a RUclips channel as well?
I wish y'all knew how lucky you are to have Salvation Army,Goodwill and other 2nd hand stores!! Here in Central America we have to buy new if we need things. No one throws anything away or trys to sell them like savers for more than they're worth 😂😂😂😂 I want to go to Salvation Army or Goodwill so bad for kitchen things 😅😅😅
Romy, I have been going to ask you, how do you choose the studio pottery you pick up? Is it visual appeal whether it's signed or not? I see some pieces unsigned at auction going for big $ and Antique Road show. Are you familiar with the notable potters and or studios by name ? Would you pick up a piece by someone notable even if you didn't like it for the resale value?
I wish I knew more about the "notable" makers. I know a couple - because I found their pieces at the GW and looked them up. I go totally based off looks, to start. If it's someone that is popular and the item is not my style I may still get it because of the resale value because that's the name of the game after all. But I prefer, obviously, to sell pieces - all things - that I also like and think are pretty or attractive. Hope that answered your question. 🤣🤣 Love you Mama Lou
Funny, our Savers out here is MUCH cheaper than Goodwill. Our Goodwills here are awful and don't have shelves and shelves of stuff like yours does! Your Goodwills look like our Savers here! 😀

My Savers is 1hour away it was so expensive I said I would never go back...
Love that find at 8:42 💰 🤑
I fell off my chair when I saw what it was. I'm going to do a little more research but it's AMAZING.
You are so calming and sweet. Great finds today. Take care and have a restful weekend.
