The enemy is hyper mobile. Lots of mobility, dashes, movespeed. Thornmail does not help with stick. Voli has ‘good’ cc via stun, but he can’t keep with the ENTIRE enemy teams mobility. Iceborne has a GROUND AOE SLOW. WHICH IS NOT AFFECTED BY TENACITY. Thornmail also is not nearly as useful due to the INSANE magic damage from the enemy team. Warwick Q, WW passive on autos, EZ is AP, Diana is Magic, and Zac is all magic. Thornmail doesn’t do shit for him in that scenario. It’s pretty useless outside of Warwick and Nilah whacking him. Zac ‘too’ but that’s if he whaps with Q for the cc slap. You could argue why not Deadman’s, but the enemy team also has a LOT of HARD CC, which counters the stacks Deadman’s gives for movement speed. Voli also makes great work of Sheen items. Q and W BOTH apply it on hit. When picking items, reaaally think about what’s necessary. Like if I’m an ADC or AD Assassin mid lane, and they have a high burst ap threat, what do I wanna build. Lifesteal doesn’t really help me survive the 100-0 instanuke. I want stuff that gives me a shield, maybe a shieldbow or a Maw/Hexdrinker. Oh is that a RENGAR and I’m Jhin? ….Tabi/Steelcap, GA, and Shieldbow/Death’s Dance. Basically never die. And Jhin can get away with it DUE to his passive.
