Since its foundation in 1975, all NSG members shall be NPT signatories. This has become the primary principle of the organisation. Now India wants to be the first exception to join the NSG without signing the NPT. It is morally legitimate for China and other members to upset India's proposal in defense of principles
Mr. Deepik Raj, you should be greatful that your nation attained any power instead of making fun of it. Its not "jugaad" ,it's the efforts of indian scientists.
Sir, India is the only country in the world which use thorium instead of uranium because we have reserves of thorium and thorium is better option than uranium so why don't India use this point that after signing NSG india can help many countries in making thorium based nuclear power and they don't have to be totally dependent on the uranium.
Thorium based reactor are still not fully functional and still under development. India does not need NSG membership as we already have agreement with almost all nuclear country. But we this so that we have say over nuclear world.
Countries who are against India are also right in their own way.Because they have signed the treaty so as to get fuel for their reactors. But the problem is how India is geographically placed on map. Both Pakistan and China to some extent are the reason for not signing.

U r ugly liar ! check below list. and say something more!! The treaty recognizes five states as nuclear-weapon states: the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, and China en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_parties_to_the_Treaty_on_the_Non-Proliferation_of_Nuclear_Weapons

In the 1950s, the United States helped India develop nuclear energy under the Atoms for Peace program. The United States built a nuclear reactor for India, provided nuclear fuel for a time, and allowed Indian scientists study at U.S. nuclear laboratories. In 1968, India refused to sign the NPT, claiming it was biased. In 1974, India tested its first nuclear bomb, showing it could develop nuclear weapons with technology transferred for peaceful purposes. As a result, the United States isolated India for twenty-five years, refusing nuclear cooperation and trying to convince other countries to do the same. But since 2000, the United States has moved to build a "strategic partnership" with India, increasing cooperation in fields including spaceflight, satellite technology, and missile defense.
Amit Badhan if India sign NPT without getting NSG membership then as per 1970 treaty of P-5 nations India has to abandon and disarm all her nuclear weapons and only use it for civil purpose. NPT treaty says ...countries who have tested nuclear weapons before 1967 can are only recognized nuclear powers rest all are non nuclear states.but our state has tested in 1974 and 1998 so we being nuclear power state are still not getting recognition because the treaty says all country who have tested before 1967 only. India will not like to lose her status of nuclear state nor she should like to abandon all her nuclear weapons after signing the NPT treaty nor she wants any sanctions from globe.
