- Rather than address anything important, I have instead opted to MAKE THE MERCEDES SHINY. And very shiny it is, too. Please do forgive me on this one, I filmed and edited it but I have done my utmost to make sure it's good. I hope! Enjoy.

W210 was a fantastic car, one of the last proper mercs
The W210 is a rust bucket with American steel, not a patch on the real last well built mrecedes the W124

What a difference these small projects make, and you've inspired me to go and hoover out my E Class.
I have a W210 myself so I approve of this content. Just wanted to say that the W/S button on the gear selector is Winter/Standard mode, there is no "Sport button". The Winter setting makes the car take off in 2nd gear and limits torque output for less wheel slipping.
The poor Daimler, it was left and neglected because the owner bought a merc, you rescued the Daimler and then bought a merc 🤣😂

I don't understand any hate for those wheels. They're not all that blingy (a bit blingy, not too much) and they look far better-proportioned for the car than the originals. Nice mo'a, as I'm sure I'd say if I lived in Essex.

The wheels look great, I'd put some Mercedes-Benz centre caps.
Parents had a 3.0 turbo diesel, went well. Front wings can go rusty though and used to be a fortune.

Beautiful mate. I daily drive a w210 e240 and i bloody love most reliable car ive ever owned.
I had the idea of replacing the cigarette lighter in one of the fleet, and didn't.
That 12v socket is handy for power for inflating tyres in an emergency, mini hoovers, and so on.
So an adapter for USB is inserted when not in use for powering things - this too has a voltmeter.
Flexibility.
My vacuum and tyre compressor are both lithium.

Small dents. Chipsaway can sort out much more than you think for a couple of hundred. I had a caved in rear wheel arch. I chanced it with them because otherwise it was an insurance job for a rear quarter. But the Chipsaway guy said no problem. He sorted it for £250. Great job.
Love this generation E class, personally if I’d bought what you got I wouldn’t paint it where would you stop, the buff and polish was just enough, they look better with that lived in look. I also love the C class from the same years. A few years ago I got for 2k a one owner 1997 C250 TD auto elegance in white with a blue interior and it was built like Berlin, the only problem ever had with it was the public thinking I was a taxi. Love bargain once coveted motors 👍

Does it has any Springs on the Front?
For an Elegance thats to low on the Front for OEM, the back however looks to be about OEM height.
Usually the Front on an Elegance or Classic is even a few mm "higher looking" than the back but here it looks like an Avangarde front and Elegance back haha

Could you tell us if the head unit was plug and play or did you have to get into wiring it? Does the head unit work with the factory amp.
What is the wheel size?
Has it got enough torque to turn those wheels?
