    It's a C24R not a C23. We had the plane laser scanned for model accuracy from the owner of the plane who also helped with documentation and development, to get the most realistic sim plane possible. So the speeds are accurate in our display. Great review as always.
    HD animated passengers coming soon. Also the price reflects for our products working in 2024. We plan to use this bird to add the new 2024 features too. Hope this info helps for those that are interested in what you also get from this product.

      It's on the high end for what I'd expect of a detailed release like this, but its not outside possibility of being reasonable. Don't take my criticism of the price as saying it's not worth it, but it's a point where debate could be had.
      With news that it will impact the 2024 model for the same cost, that changes the price discussion entirely to yeah... this is fair.
      Plus every release you guys have put out to date, has been a V1, that evolved heavily like the 414 and Leer.

    I bought this plane immediately when it came out, I still love this type of plane. Graphics are very nice and detailed. Having the tablet is handy to put the plane to your preferences. It's a joy to fly and I'm a huge fan from the model variations (gps) with there paint themes. It's not cheap, but it's worth the money.

      And I am glad you say this as we try to keep the price down by not adding random failures and extra features only used by a small amount of simmers so it's not cost effective for us to add these features. The price also reflects the new 2024 sim as we plan to add new features to it an no extra cost. So you will end up with two packages for each sim. So you got a deal on the price. Glad you like it!

      Marketplace reviews are not accurate I find for some aircraft. When you have some buyers complaining about 'the aircraft isn't very fast for the price', which I've actually seen as a criticism, on previous aircraft releases from different third parties.. You start to realise there's many non-sim minded people out there purchasing and rating some of these aircraft down.
      Another example is the Flyinside Bell 47, rated low because people seem to struggle to be able to fly it - despite actually having a brilliant external flight model, failures, and VRS, retreating blade stall modelled.
      My best advice would always be to check out the reviews from Av Angel and some of the other RUclipsrs like Twotonemurphy, Jonathan Beckett etc - and form an opinion from their reviews.

    Loved your review of the Sierra/Musketeer. It appears to be a great flyer, and I too love the developer's focus on the wear and tear appearance of this bird.
    I also agree with their design philosophy that most simmers don't place a high priority on random failures
    Regarding its name - some call it a spear, some call it an arrow. (Wrigley's spearmint gum commercial.)
    Some call it a "Skytrain", some call it a "Dakota", some call it a "Gooney-bird", and some call it "Spooky"/"Puff the magic dragon". (The Douglas C-47)
    I vaguely recall a similar analogy regarding roses...
    but enough of that.

    Awesome plane. The thing I miss the most is the wind sounds as you cruise along. That's one of the loudest sounds in a cockpit., but it's not represented too wel in this addon. Nice review. I think this one is a bit late to sim. After A2A Comanche, with no steam gauges, and no walkaround, and not being an obvious model, and for that price, it is a no-go at this moment. But I wanted to look inside and had it flight tested. Now I know - thank you for your efforts!

    • @Flysimware
      @Flysimware 14 дней назад +2

      The walk around will be added for the new 2024. No reason to add the fake walk around for the 2020. We also are adding animated HD passenger in a week. I would never jump to conclusions. Also there are a ton of simmers who will never spend $50 USD for a GA plane. So this also fits there budget as most simmers do not need random failures with a larger price tag. There was someone who also tried to say we already have a Comanche and the feedback was it's hard to handle vectors with that type of autopilot. This autopilot make ATC a breeze.
      My feedback is why not have lots of great planes as simmers need variety. So I like both the Comanche and the Sierra.

      @@Flysimware I have to add that I do not understand the rumour of this aircraft being overpriced. I wrote that on the basis of the rumour. When I checked the actual price, it was mid-ranged. The price is therefore no factor in deciding if to buy it or not. I feel this plane will have more selling success in 2024 than in 2020.

    This is a C24R Sierra .. no where in my POH does it say my plane is a musketeer :) ...
    The Max speed is 142 KTAS and the High speed Cruise is 135 KTAS at 75% power with the Econo Cruise being 125 KTAS at 65% power. For endurance you can run 115 KTAS using 55% power.
    Yes it was a competitor to the Piper Arrow series which also was a 200HP 4cyl Constant speed prop and Retractable Gear. Excellent Complex conversion aircraft and for many of us owners something that gets us plenty of flying without having to move up to the Bonanza or 182 Class Planes.
    The Cardinal (C177) was the closest offering from Cessna.
    The Duchess was in fact built off this platform -- I can source parts from BE-76 including a few parts like our Gear Pump and Pressure switches which were only ever used on the Sierra and the Duchess.
    That is the Roll characteristic of the C24R.. The Ailerons are Big and the Dihedral design makes if very stable with little need for Rudder input -- It also irl has an interlink that connects the rudder to the ailerons which help keep it coordinated when you enter a turn.
    Any how great to see people enjoying the Sierra and excellent flying that landing :)

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel 14 дней назад

      The Sierra is an evolution of the Musketeer according to Beechcraft's own information. It didn't get the name, but it has most of the other parts.

      @LesOReilly 14 дней назад

      @@AvAngel I own the Plane .. I know what it is called.
      I am aware that the lineage is from a Mouse.. However it is never called a musketeer .. ICAO is BE24 .. when we check-in with ATC it is "Beech 24 Sierra".
      By the initial logic then you would call the Duchess a Musketeer ..

    • @AvAngel
      @AvAngel 14 дней назад

      @LesOReilly 14 дней назад

      @@AvAngel 0:19 -- "C24 aka the beechcraft musketeer" ... it's not a C24 or a musketeer :) it is a C24R Sierra. I get that you are looking at something probably from Wikipedia for the historical connection but in 1972 the A24R was introduced and it is a very different plane from the A23/24 ... That article even states:
      "These models were known as the A24 and are not to be confused with the first Sierras, which were designated A24R models. Other than the instrument panel these aircraft were mechanically identical to the earlier A23-24 model.[1]"
      Further in that Article you are using -- "Renamed the "Sierra", in 1972. The initial A24R Sierra was powered by a Lycoming IO-360-A1B"
      And then the part you did cover very well I will add "The improved C24R in 1977 was powered by the same engine and larger propeller. Beech also did an aerodynamic cleanup on the "C" model making it 6 knots faster than the "B" model it replaced in 1977." -- one of the main designs items here that the article misses about what that cleanup is --- its is the Wheel Ferring's. the A and B did not have aerodynamic half circles on the underside front of the Main Gear that small amount of Wheel being exposed created significant drag. Many B24R owners have sourced those same parts (oem or aftermarket) to add a few knots back to the separation.
      This plane is a 1977 C24R Sierra not a C24 (which has never existed -- there was an A24 never a B or a C) The only other model in the family that made it to the C Round was the C23 Sundowner.
      The Article reference was then used at 1:15 to specify the performance where you are referencing the only listing which is NOT for a C24R Sierra but rather the A23A Musketeer Custom III with the Max speed of 127 Knots and cruise of 102 Knots.
      I am aware it is a "slow plane" by many but just don't want the numbers to be confused with those of a totally different Plane where we are talking 102 Knots vs 135 Knots at max cruise speed.
      I like your videos and don't take it poorly.. I was making notes while watching the entire video and only chose to post as a single commentary in that original post.
      Look forward to your next video on it when you might see something you were asking for....
