The AEMS is already big enough for ar platform and has multiple reticle options it definitely serves it's purpose very well for a red dot but my question is what's the benefits or purpose of such a massive window with the MAX for ar platform at the distances it's designed for. I love my AEMS on scalarworks mount it's one of my favorite red dots along with 510c on ar platform. Perhaps I would have different opinion if I used it first. Bigger window is always better in my view
Red dots have all the field of view you need if you just open both eyes and focus on target as you should. This is inherently dumb, and to make it worse there is some deformation on the lenses while looking through it. As if giving money to Ronin wasn't bad enough.

The bigger window is for bigger eye box not for field of view. Not rocket science but seems like the majority of the world can't figure it out.
