I can tell you exactly what the hate is brother. 1. They called it an R7 and everyone expected it to be the spiritual successor to the older R7 (people were devastated) 2. These days its all about d*ck measuring (more BHP = better). The people talking shit are usually the ones that think chicken strips = faster while theyre riding around with bad body positioning or just riding fast in a straight line etc.. I own an R7, absolutely love it. Its got enough power to get me into trouble and enough power to get me out of trouble. Enjoy your bike, ignore the hates
I picked up my R7 the day I passed my test - I agree with you this bike is heaps of fun and I honestly think I will have it for years to come! Never understood why people were attracted to heavy clunky litre bikes especially when they can only use a fraction of the power for street 🤷🏽♂️
yup, I’m not sure whose idea of fun it is to cruise around in 1st gear on an R1 in the city while it’s cooking your nuts at red lights. the R7 is the perfect city sportbike, the only issues with it are the low quality paint and clear coat, and the exhaust note, but the note can be improved with a full system. everything else is 10/10 on it imo.
@@mencibenci yea I got a full yoshi pipe fitted to mine followed by a tune and now shes running and sounding amazing (no baffle). obviously the seating position is super uncomfortable for long rides but i get bored of upright bikes within 5 minutes so its the price we pay for fun :)
I agree. My R6 used to cook my legs and had no power down low. I rode an mt07 and the R7 should be a peppy little bike for the street with that torque rich parallel twin. I got an MT09 now since I sold the R6.
I don’t understand the hate on the R7 either. Yeah it’s not like the R6 that’s not what the R7 is designed for. It’s designed to be an everyday sport bike that’s practical on public roads. Awesome torque across the powerband makes it useable for everyday riding. The R6 is a high revving screamer therefore it lags down low in the powerband. I love my R6 but im sold on getting a R7!❤
The R7 hate really is weird to me. “It’s nowhere near as fast as an R6!”…. Like okay, we knew that. No one said it was. It serves an entirely different purpose 😂
I think because the R6 was canceled people incorrectly see the R7 as it's replacement. If they still produced the R6 the R7 would be recognized in its own light as a step between the R3 and R6.
Just picked my 2024 last week. And i love it. All the negative reviews on youtube are from the people who owned an r6 or are riding a liter bike. It’s good to know what ppl think about the bike, but it’s always better to test ride it yourself and make your decision. In the end, you are the one who will ride it. Not the RUclipsrs. Also, I have a two brothers racing full exhaust system on it, it is loud and sounds really good. I loving the deceleration pop and bang. Next is to have the ecu flashed.
Ooo I was gonna get the two brothers, I wind up ordering the M4 exhaust, it should be in next week and then I will be getting a ecu flash as well, super stoked about that 🔥
Great to see you review this bike.. I just bought one in blue and I absolutely love it ! So light and easy to ride and looks amazing ! I love the engine, and so much power for the road. Great review.
@@Aceeridez I am 58 and road my fair share of superbikes starting in the late 80's and I think the R7 of the perfect bike for the street and occasional weekend track days. Unless you're a complete squid speed demon there is no reason to own one of the bigger bikes. With the proper mods (exhaust, airbox and flash) the R7 is fun as hell. Ride safe my young friends. 🤘😎🎸
