I'm lucky to be a local. These are some of the best shots I've seen of the route. They really capture the atmosphere and spirit of the countryside. Four seasons in one day, most days. Splendid video.
I’ve walked some but not all of the west highland way as I live nearby the start of it. It was cool picking out what I knew. Great video! You did it justice.
Well Kat in 2015 you recommend the Portuguese Camino which I throughly enjoyed and so different to The Way through Spain. 2017 you again inspired me to walk the Kumino Kodo which was the Nakahechi Route. This year with my two family members we trekked the extremely difficult Kohechi trail. So now you have inspired me on another journey. Love it
Gregory Stegman Congrats on hiking the Kohechi, it’s definitely a challenging yet rewarding hike! I’d love to hear about your experience. The WHW should be on every walker’s bucket list as the terrain and scenery is so varied and beautiful and it’s easily accessible too. 😊
Hey Kat, nice to finally see one of your videos online. Meeting you on the WHW was very nice and this video kinda puts me back on the trail! Best wishes! Boris
Hi Mikkel, thanks for your lovely comment! The song is called 'Dance of the Druids,' by Bear McCreary and featuring Raya Yarbrough - it's on the Outlander soundtrack.

oh the memories especially hearing the cuckoo bird sound, the weather and most of all that stunning landscape.
I'm glad it brought back some special memories for you :)
I'll follow in your footsteps in May. Your video makes me look forward to it even more. Beautiful!
Thanks Mindolluin, I'm sure you'll absolutely love it and hopefully the midges won't be out in May! ;)
Super video Kat. Good job on finishing the Way.
Thanks Kenny :)
This brings back memories at I did the WHW in May sunshine all the way. Thank you for the video
Andy C May seems the ideal time of year for hiking in Scotland... before the midges come out!
Some really nice photography from the WHW there. Good job. :)
Thanks!

Nice video...just wish that it was longer!
What an amazing video. I think we hiked the trail at the same time! We went in early July as well. Can I ask you what song you used in the video?
Hi Mikkel, thanks for your lovely comment! The song is called 'Dance of the Druids,' by Bear McCreary and featuring Raya Yarbrough - it's on the Outlander soundtrack.
Well, now I have another hike to add to my list. Well done, hope you’re doing well
BikeHikeSafari you could spend months walking all the different trails in Scotland, I think you’d love it! X
👍👍👍
What’s the music?
Hi David, it's 'Dance of the Druids' by Bear McCreary featuring Raya Yarbrough (it's credited at the end of the video)
Nice video but too short.
