Severity (Medium to High) as defect does not crash the application but sorting feature not working it affect for users. Priority(High) as users expect sorting when browsing products. potentially it reduce sales.
Priority is high because lots of customer don't his size in no they know size in xl, l like that Severity is high because of size confusion it is impacted on selling products

in some cases cx is ordering in very hurry way that he just want to place that order within 1 minutes in festivals or in time limited sales, in that case cx priority is for alphabetic size and he is finding his alternative size in numeric and he loses his offer that time he feel very frustrating, and this will happened due to application defect and functions are not properly implement That is my perspective, your answer is vary from that because of way you imagine that defect is serious or not
