Hey Josh, you may want to remove "Aerobie" from the title and description. Aerobie and Aeropress Inc split ages ago when Alan Adler sold the Aerobie (toy company) side of the business years ago and what Alan kept was "Aeropress Inc". I didn't even know that until I watched Aeropress The Movie done by the boys at European Coffee Trip.
Yea, same as @sanmol26 I´m about to order "Aerobie" from a store that has huge discount, but I don´t know the difference between the that and "Aeropress".
I use the aeropress every morning, I use aldi medium dark ground to the aeropress setting (about 1.5 turns) on the 1zpresso q2. I use the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap, put the grounds in, paper filter, dry, pour a 1/4 of cup boiling water into the empty cup. Then wait for the water to cool in the kettle a bit, then pour up to the '2' on the aeropress, stir and then slowly press. This gives me a long black (shot on top of hot water) that tastes great. I have tried it the other way (americano, shot then hot water on top) but the long black way weirdly does taste better.
My favourite recipe is standard orientation, espresso roast, espresso grind, 15 g of coffe, 60 g of water, 20 seconds stir. I use the result for a fake cappucino with milk frothed in a frenchpress. But I use a recipe similiar to yours for light roast filter coffee :)
😂 The AeroPress never did turn my world upside down - whether I inverted it or not. After hitting the dating scene with all the locally designed press alternatives, I’ve settled down with my Espro Bloom. It’s very forgiving and we get along well.
Interesting recipe you used there, Josh! I personally prefer fine grind setting (250-400 micron), inverted, 12-15g of grounds (depending on the coffee beans I chose), 200-240g water, 99°C, TBT 03:00 min
Nice! Yeah the recipe is really a take on the OG AeroPress recipe and more of a simple and straightforward demonstration of how easy it is to brew a decent cup on the AP.
Hi Josh, great video! I'm planning to use this on my boat and was wondering if you would suggest expresso coffee (pre-ground) as I don't really want to add another device to my boat as weight and space are always an issue. Thanks in advance!
Espresso or filter coffee -- really personal preference here. Personally, nothing wrong with pre-ground coffee if it's for a few days. Any longer than that - you're losing a lot of flavour in using old grounds. There's great hand grinders you can get that fit right in tot he AeroPress no worries. alternativebrewing.com.au/products/1zpresso-q-air-coffee-grinder
I did just that a little over a year and a half ago. I bought the Aeropress to make moka pot like coffee for travel. My decision to buy was based on a James Hoffmann video using both brewers to make cappuccinos without an espresso machine. Using the recipe from that video, I found that the coffee put out by the Aeropress was not dissimilar to that of the moka pot. Now I mostly use the Aeropress to Johnathan Gagné’s using a 20g to 290ml ratio and a very long steep time.
The truth is that they messed up when redesigning the packaging. The original recipe that the Allan Adler invented is similarly simple but much more specific with the temperature, volume and time and, as a result, much tastier. I don't blame you for spitting out the coffee you've made according to the recipe on the box (in was most likely disgusting) but you should at least mention the original recipe and the fact that this ain't it. Next time, please do your research cause this feels like uninformed, cheap video (from the information quality standpoint). But lets end positively. The final conclusion was great. From the videographers perspective, the video was made very well. The lighting was great, the camera work and the sound were also amazing. Everyone makes mistakes (i'm good English), lets learn from them. I ordered Aeropress but no where on the box its mentioned that its by the Aeropress Inc, Aeropress by Aerobie. So is this fake product?

The best 🙌 once you’ve found something that works- don’t change it

Love the Espro Bloom 🫶 that'd be my favorite dripper
I respect the drip!

Where can I find that t-shirt?
it's a 1/1 sorry 🫶

@Alternative Brewing is plumber is silicone in new version? is it better than old one?
Yes, it's about the same tbh
Thinking in an Aeropress for office of travel. As I use a Moka Pot at home, how does the coffee from an Aeropress compare?

Yeah get the recipe right and you’ll be in 7th heaven! Moka pot is not as easy to travel with o agree
1:17 dammit, i'm bursting laugh at this 🤣
How to subvert a simple way of making delicious coffee into a pretentious faff.
Got much less subversive videos that get to the point. Do love the Aeropress for that. It’s as easy or as difficult as you want to make it
