hi rain, before i stumbled across your videos i felt my life was at a standstill and im only 16. the first video that i saw from you was the one about social isolation, i remember seeing it on my front page and thinking that this video probably wasnt for me. and then i saw it again and watched it..and it hit deeply with me. every single thing you said hit a cord and actually brought me to tears because it was all what i had been through in a more thought out structured sense and made me understand myself more, i still cant put into words why that is but it helped. and now seeing this i now know that all of the other things that ive had time to ponder on were also just ideas leading to a truth. i have no religion, i havent read any religious text but i knew exactly what you were going on about as soon as you spoke the first words. we are just things floating on a rock, and im okay with that i personally dont need these text that are practically fairytales telling me what my life is and should be... thanks.
I like the fact that young people these days are uploading activities that reflect on their inner selves. I think this is more humane than anything else and a better environment to open up to people than any other offline encounter. I sincerely support those who publish public monologues like this !!
Hey Rain I appreciate this. As someone who was raised in a “new age” household I too believed religion as an institution didn’t have much to offer me. But now that I’m older I see the value in the structure & community that it offers. I’ve seen a lot of new age amalgamations send ppl off the deep end & I think if they had had structure they would find God within a balanced framework. I converted this past year (I won’t say to what) but i’ve never felt so grounded in my life & it’s brought harmony to every aspect of my life. I won’t say it’s the ultimate truth & I don’t even care actually, but it’s an operational framework that brings order to my world which inevitably sends small waves of order into the macro- at least that’s how I see it.
I grew up with buddhism. Meditation, believing and praying are for me a personal and private matter, my mother always told me don't force or suggest people to believe in one kind of a religion. My reality doesn't define the whole world.

humanity's tendency to order and structure things is a gift and a curse it works for deciding the day to day practical things but at a certain point you realize they are just constructions that cannot encompass the infinite nuance of reality. there are no truths, just stuff and were all just trying to navigate it.
I do agree that most major religions have intentions to guide people through the spiritual realm correctly. And some religions are better at mastering certain aspects of the spiritual realm than others. But generally speaking, I define spiritual experiences as phenomena that truly happened but we can't entirely understand. Spiritual practice is acting and knowing certain results will happen without entirely understanding why the action is tied to the result. Because of this, it's fair to assume we judge the efficacy of these religions based purely on results. And the main result of Christianity is all of Western culture. We can't judge the actions of past religious people based on current ethics. We can only judge them based on the ethics that were available at the time. Just like people in the future will look back at us and see ethical flaws and sins. But the result of Christianity is arguably the richest and most cohesive system of ethics and morals. Yes, there are Jews who have done extravagantly admirable things for humanity. Same goes for Islam and Buddhism. But no other religion, ever, has been the foundation of an empire as strong as the West. And that's because Christianity, while a religion, is also much much more. It's deeper than spiritual practice.
Periodt to that part about animism and "shamanism". I also love how possession cults seem to be a kind of like a natural progression of that. Like Nat worship and possession in Myanmar, Taost mediums (I forget the name) getting possessed by gods, Hatian vodou and the lwa, even in Egypt and Greece where the possessee had to be a child. I believe these problems like World Hunger can easily be fixed. The issue with it being done practically is that we live in a society that is heavily based on economics. If we were to do the thing that is best for the people the big companies would lose billions in profits. This isn't a bad thing for the world but people are "afraid" of actually trying something that's good for everyone and the big companies can't afford making 20billion instead of 25billion a year. This would mean that they would have to mass-fire people and massive problems arrising in the world whilst other people can happily live their lives with a full stomach.

Just think general ethics. In politics and social circles, virtue signaling can be a tactic for manipulation without religion. In fact, if you look at the scripture for popular religions including the Quran and the Bible you'll see this issue explicitly addressed. (Referring to the stories of Jesus calling out the Pharisees for acting religious for clout in parts of the New Testament and in Islam a concept called 'riyaa'.) At the end it is human nature not religion specifically.

The problem with the western understanding of religions is that you guys see religiouns as something gives you power, keeps you on the way, helps your personal growth. And they think all religions are that way. İn fact the islamic way of understanding religions is that there could be only one god, if there was multiple gods then there would be caos in universe (that what allah says in the quran) for example one god may decide the sun to rise and other to decide it to not rise. And islam claims that the only one god have sent people the last revolation. And that religion proves that it is from the one true god by signs in the quran and other things that i dont wanna mention yet. rain i have a lot to say to you. i agree with a lot of what you have to say. first of all i highly suggest for you to read the tibetan book of the dead. we as humans are in a very special postion. there are lower realms and higher realms. there are animals spirts. and there disembiodied spirts, as well as demons and there are many gods. these gods are very real and their divine help and power is very real. its up to you if you want to worship them if you want their help. or you could realize your buddha nature which i believe u can. i believe jesus was a buddha on top of being a divine reincarnation. am not preaching to anyone or saying you should believe what i believe . i agree a lot of evil has been done in the name of these gods but its the fault of the people not the gods.. i was looking for the passage in the book but i couldnt find it its explains it way better. i really hope u read it. its up to you. if you dont need it good for you. but i am very broken and i really do need their help. and they do help me.

This might be a bit wordy, but I hope you can take your time to read. Now I’m not writing this believing you will be converted to Christianity or follow Christ, but I would like to point out that there are many things a lot of people in our current world today do not know about Christianity and the call of the modern man on earth as a whole, and they’re not actually to blame, this is sadly as a result of the lack of deep insightful preachings we need from the church to the world. You mentioned something in the video about Jesus being a sort of demon in the sense that you are forced (or not forced) to believe and follow him in order to achieve good things in life (Correct me if I’m wrong.) and I can understand how a person who doesn’t really have much understanding of God can say that; again, full circle to the modern church failing to properly educate man on the truth of Jesus. But, if you truly study the Bible( the Old Testament as you’ve said you read.) you will realize that God made the earth for man, with all its riches and glory, he made it all for man, and he gave man the dominion to every single thing on this earth- Why?- Because we are his children, the actual sons of God. And as many know the story of Adam and Eve, we realize they were deceived by the devil and sinned and were cursed out of the garden and all that. But that was not the only thing that happened, man also lost the dominion which he originally had on earth and life, and it was handed over to the devil- who is commonly tagged as the prince of this world- Now what’s the purpose of Jesus? (Who by the way is part of the trinity.)- As we may or may not know, Jesus is the son of God, (This title represents the revelation of his physical form on earth, as well as his place in the trinity of God.) and it was revealed repeatedly over numerous spaces of time, long long ago, that he would be sent to the earth and would come for the lost. What does this mean? This simply goes back to Adam and Eve in the beginning who had lost their dominion on earth therefore causing every single other man and woman on earth to the same fate. And as the devil ruled on earth with this authority things were obviously not looking good for people, he didn’t like us very much (obviously) and decided he’d much rather spend his time on earth invested in the complete destruction of mankind than considering the wrong in his own sin. Back to Jesus, now with Jesus being born, preaching to the world and eventually sacrificing himself for the world, (which led him to retrieving the power of dominion which God had given to man and returning it to us.) we were therefore giving back our dominion (which by the way is activated through the Holy Spirit- also a part of the trinity.) So why should I worship Jesus?- This question seems to have such an obvious answer but very few don’t seem to see it that way, so I’ll make it as simple as it can be for an everyday individual who doesn’t understand so much about the Holy Spirit or just an atheist who simply wants to know. Because Jesus is God (holy trinity) we were all formed from a piece of him (it goes much deeper than this but I’ll just stick with it.) and the only reason we can even have dominion on earth is because we are living pieces of the God almighty, (this boils down to what the Bible meant when it says we were all made in his image.) and because of this connection, we therefore have dominion. So when man lost his dominion, it simply means we lost our active connection to God in heaven, hence the reason for the sacrifice of Jesus. So therefore, if you are still not connected to God (which is only possible through Jesus- who has brought you back to him as a bridge) you cannot access this dominion on earth and in the spirit. And the final reason which should actually be the only reason, is that he is your savior and your maker. Pride would most likely make you scoff at this fact, and make you feel like you don’t owe anyone anything nor should you have to worship anyone, but God is our lord, and he is to be worshiped. The devil will do everything in his power to stop that one thing we ought to do, and he’s actually been succeeding, but in the end, every one on earth and in the heavens will know that Jesus is God. Simple as that. This ended up being much longer than I imagined. I still have so much to comment on but I hope the spirit of wisdom comes upon those who seek the real truth. Hey Rain one quick advice that could help you out because I saw your arms in a video. What I wish I knew before was that ALL men should be lifting weights and building muscle. It is THE thing that attracts women, and also respect from men. When you are skinny, people tend to view you more as a boy than a man. Learn to recognize that burn in your muscle at the end of a workout, that's what makes it grow, learn how to work out properly and how to get enough nutrition (protein powder helps)
monotheism is very interesting to me because why is one god doing everything, like bro can't share? smh. but fr tho i find the concept of good, bad, and free will very complex when it comes to a singular infinitely loving god, especially when trying to be justified as right and orderly. it's almost paradoxical. a loving god will give their creation free will so that it isn't a mindless slave, yet will also make their creation a slave to others of its kind. since they give their creation the capacity to feel, that emotional connection to the loving god (that is usually taught) would naturally begin to break since it wouldn't believe baseless punishment simply for existing would be love. then, the loving god would leave their creation permanently because they feel betrayed at their creation's blasphemy. it's a very strange system.
I find it odd that you speak of independent thought and simply living and relating to one another based off of the humanity between humans when in fact the ideas that push this the most are from Abrahamic religions. If you read the Quran and sunnah with an open mind then you will see just how if people followed it as it should be followed it would quite literally result in world peace. Now the reason as to why this is not happening and Muslims are not prospering as we once did is because of individuals such as myself. The message is perfect and unlike other messages has been untainted since it release about 1,400 years ago from the prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him). It is me who is imperfect and I do not follow the religion and worship God as he ought to be worshiped. This is a prime reason as to why I don’t follow other Abrahamic religions it is simply because you quite literally cannot even read the messages in their original text as they have been so convoluted since their release, hence why the prophet Muhammad was sent as the last prophet and messenger (peace be upon him) as a final warning to humanity to acknowledge and worship your lord Allah.
As a Muslim I believe that you fail to see through the right perspective. In the Quran God says that he guides who he wills and that when it come so to those who are blind to the truth it is their hearts which are faulty and not the eyes. Islam was given to humanity at that specific time not by chance but as a message for all those to come after. You make a statement regarding water not being received by the people and stating that people would attribute this to God and not the natural forces in which the phenomena had occurred. But this thought process is flawed as why do you believe that the mechanism by which something takes place is the origin point or reason as to why it is in the first place? For example, science is simply a tool used to measure the already preexisting laws and phenomena of the universe. Now imagine a being that exists outside of the universe and even created the universe himself( we say himself not because God is a man but simply because in language the masculine precedes the feminine and know that god is nor man or woman) the amount of power or existence of a being this powerful would be beyond human comprehension quite literally. This being would be immeasurable by means of tools used to measure finite things. But this does not mean that the tool is useless as the existence of God can be seen and felt everywhere no matter where it is. So in order to help us human beings with very small brains and limited understanding God has communicated or shown himself to us in a way in which all of humanity can see no matter who you are. For example, I am really into personal styling and fashion as a form of self expression. But when you embark on this journey of self expression one begins to wonder how can I be original or what does it mean to be influenced? You come to realize that no idea man has is original not because every idea is built off the back of another man but because before society was even a thing and the first men roamed the earth where did they gain their influence from? They gained it from the stars, trees, ocean, sky, and other prexisting things of the universe. Existence and all that is good is God showing you who he is. He is expressing himself to you in the mists poetic way and it is the most saddening thing for man to not know of this beauty and to not see this for himself. Son and daughter, mother and father, right and wrong, light and dark. In this are small signs of the systems that are all throughout the universe and in this are signs of Gods expression of himself to us which proves His existence. Honestly it matters not if you believe me or not it’s just that to know god and to understand what I have just told you is the most beautiful thing and it would be wrong if I had not tried to share it with you. Your issue isn’t with ideologies or religion rather those who try to use religion to justify their actions. While I agree that this has happened in history this is currently not what is happening in the conflict in Gaza it is a lot more nuanced than “my god promised me this land”. On one side you have a people claiming they’re being oppressed when they only want peace and on the other side you have people who claim they offered peace and are met with hostility so who is right? Truth is both of them are probably right to a degree the Palestinians have been offered peace multiple times throughout multiple years yet they do not accept and instead play victim while commiting terrorism ex: October 7th taking hostages. A lot of people will claim they want to free Palestine or that it’s a genocide yet don’t really know anything about the land 80% of mandatory Palestine (1920) was Jordan yet nobody is talking about that. The Jews who fled to Israel were Holocaust refugees, dhimmis under oppressive rule or just those who were seeking a place where they are not the minority and to ignore those things and to sum the conflict up to religion is just bad faith. The problem with the western understanding of religions is that you guys see religiouns as something gives you power, keeps you on the way, helps your personal growth. And they think all religions are that way. İn fact the islamic way of understanding religions is that there could be only one god, if there was multiple gods then there would be caos in universe (that what allah says in the quran) for example one god may decide the sun to rise and other to decide it to not rise. And islam claims that the only one god have sent people the last revolation. And that religion proves that it is from the one true god by signs in the quran and other things that i dont wanna mention yet. This might be a bit wordy, but I hope you can take your time to read.
Now I’m not writing this believing you will be converted to Christianity or follow Christ, but I would like to point out that there are many things a lot of people in our current world today do not know about Christianity and the call of the modern man on earth as a whole, and they’re not actually to blame, this is sadly as a result of the lack of deep insightful preachings we need from the church to the world.
You mentioned something in the video about Jesus being a sort of demon in the sense that you are forced (or not forced) to believe and follow him in order to achieve good things in life (Correct me if I’m wrong.) and I can understand how a person who doesn’t really have much understanding of God can say that; again, full circle to the modern church failing to properly educate man on the truth of Jesus.
But, if you truly study the Bible( the Old Testament as you’ve said you read.) you will realize that God made the earth for man, with all its riches and glory, he made it all for man, and he gave man the dominion to every single thing on this earth-
Why?-
Because we are his children, the actual sons of God. And as many know the story of Adam and Eve, we realize they were deceived by the devil and sinned and were cursed out of the garden and all that. But that was not the only thing that happened, man also lost the dominion which he originally had on earth and life, and it was handed over to the devil- who is commonly tagged as the prince of this world-
Now what’s the purpose of Jesus? (Who by the way is part of the trinity.)-
As we may or may not know, Jesus is the son of God, (This title represents the revelation of his physical form on earth, as well as his place in the trinity of God.) and it was revealed repeatedly over numerous spaces of time, long long ago, that he would be sent to the earth and would come for the lost.
What does this mean? This simply goes back to Adam and Eve in the beginning who had lost their dominion on earth therefore causing every single other man and woman on earth to the same fate. And as the devil ruled on earth with this authority things were obviously not looking good for people, he didn’t like us very much (obviously) and decided he’d much rather spend his time on earth invested in the complete destruction of mankind than considering the wrong in his own sin.
Back to Jesus, now with Jesus being born, preaching to the world and eventually sacrificing himself for the world, (which led him to retrieving the power of dominion which God had given to man and returning it to us.) we were therefore giving back our dominion (which by the way is activated through the Holy Spirit- also a part of the trinity.)
So why should I worship Jesus?-
This question seems to have such an obvious answer but very few don’t seem to see it that way, so I’ll make it as simple as it can be for an everyday individual who doesn’t understand so much about the Holy Spirit or just an atheist who simply wants to know.
Because Jesus is God (holy trinity) we were all formed from a piece of him (it goes much deeper than this but I’ll just stick with it.) and the only reason we can even have dominion on earth is because we are living pieces of the God almighty, (this boils down to what the Bible meant when it says we were all made in his image.) and because of this connection, we therefore have dominion.
So when man lost his dominion, it simply means we lost our active connection to God in heaven, hence the reason for the sacrifice of Jesus. So therefore, if you are still not connected to God (which is only possible through Jesus- who has brought you back to him as a bridge) you cannot access this dominion on earth and in the spirit.
And the final reason which should actually be the only reason, is that he is your savior and your maker. Pride would most likely make you scoff at this fact, and make you feel like you don’t owe anyone anything nor should you have to worship anyone, but God is our lord, and he is to be worshiped.
The devil will do everything in his power to stop that one thing we ought to do, and he’s actually been succeeding, but in the end, every one on earth and in the heavens will know that Jesus is God.
Simple as that.
This ended up being much longer than I imagined. I still have so much to comment on but I hope the spirit of wisdom comes upon those who seek the real truth.

Hey Rain one quick advice that could help you out because I saw your arms in a video. What I wish I knew before was that ALL men should be lifting weights and building muscle. It is THE thing that attracts women, and also respect from men. When you are skinny, people tend to view you more as a boy than a man. Learn to recognize that burn in your muscle at the end of a workout, that's what makes it grow, learn how to work out properly and how to get enough nutrition (protein powder helps)

but fr tho i find the concept of good, bad, and free will very complex when it comes to a singular infinitely loving god, especially when trying to be justified as right and orderly. it's almost paradoxical. a loving god will give their creation free will so that it isn't a mindless slave, yet will also make their creation a slave to others of its kind. since they give their creation the capacity to feel, that emotional connection to the loving god (that is usually taught) would naturally begin to break since it wouldn't believe baseless punishment simply for existing would be love. then, the loving god would leave their creation permanently because they feel betrayed at their creation's blasphemy. it's a very strange system.
I find it odd that you speak of independent thought and simply living and relating to one another based off of the humanity between humans when in fact the ideas that push this the most are from Abrahamic religions. If you read the Quran and sunnah with an open mind then you will see just how if people followed it as it should be followed it would quite literally result in world peace. Now the reason as to why this is not happening and Muslims are not prospering as we once did is because of individuals such as myself. The message is perfect and unlike other messages has been untainted since it release about 1,400 years ago from the prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him). It is me who is imperfect and I do not follow the religion and worship God as he ought to be worshiped. This is a prime reason as to why I don’t follow other Abrahamic religions it is simply because you quite literally cannot even read the messages in their original text as they have been so convoluted since their release, hence why the prophet Muhammad was sent as the last prophet and messenger (peace be upon him) as a final warning to humanity to acknowledge and worship your lord Allah.

As a Muslim I believe that you fail to see through the right perspective. In the Quran God says that he guides who he wills and that when it come so to those who are blind to the truth it is their hearts which are faulty and not the eyes. Islam was given to humanity at that specific time not by chance but as a message for all those to come after. You make a statement regarding water not being received by the people and stating that people would attribute this to God and not the natural forces in which the phenomena had occurred. But this thought process is flawed as why do you believe that the mechanism by which something takes place is the origin point or reason as to why it is in the first place? For example, science is simply a tool used to measure the already preexisting laws and phenomena of the universe. Now imagine a being that exists outside of the universe and even created the universe himself( we say himself not because God is a man but simply because in language the masculine precedes the feminine and know that god is nor man or woman) the amount of power or existence of a being this powerful would be beyond human comprehension quite literally. This being would be immeasurable by means of tools used to measure finite things. But this does not mean that the tool is useless as the existence of God can be seen and felt everywhere no matter where it is. So in order to help us human beings with very small brains and limited understanding God has communicated or shown himself to us in a way in which all of humanity can see no matter who you are. For example, I am really into personal styling and fashion as a form of self expression. But when you embark on this journey of self expression one begins to wonder how can I be original or what does it mean to be influenced? You come to realize that no idea man has is original not because every idea is built off the back of another man but because before society was even a thing and the first men roamed the earth where did they gain their influence from? They gained it from the stars, trees, ocean, sky, and other prexisting things of the universe. Existence and all that is good is God showing you who he is. He is expressing himself to you in the mists poetic way and it is the most saddening thing for man to not know of this beauty and to not see this for himself. Son and daughter, mother and father, right and wrong, light and dark. In this are small signs of the systems that are all throughout the universe and in this are signs of Gods expression of himself to us which proves His existence. Your issue isn’t with ideologies or religion rather those who try to use religion to justify their actions. While I agree that this has happened in history this is currently not what is happening in the conflict in Gaza it is a lot more nuanced than “my god promised me this land”. On one side you have a people claiming they’re being oppressed when they only want peace and on the other side you have people who claim they offered peace and are met with hostility so who is right? Truth is both of them are probably right to a degree the Palestinians have been offered peace multiple times throughout multiple years yet they do not accept and instead play victim while commiting terrorism ex: October 7th taking hostages. A lot of people will claim they want to free Palestine or that it’s a genocide yet don’t really know anything about the land 80% of mandatory Palestine (1920) was Jordan yet nobody is talking about that. The Jews who fled to Israel were Holocaust refugees, dhimmis under oppressive rule or just those who were seeking a place where they are not the minority and to ignore those things and to sum the conflict up to religion is just bad faith.
