My only thing I want to add too is Mike Shinoda really should be included as well - he adds so much and has a fanatic voice even though he mostly does the rapping parts in a lot of the songs for Linkin Park.
The fact that they sound this good live (I was at the last live show in Amsterdam) shows the skill, ability and that they don’t really use a lot of editing in the studio
If you're looking for Chester's vocals,. try the version of "The Little Things Give You Away" from Live At Milton Keynes. This song has too much going on to enjoy the vocals.
I don't consider The Catalyst to be hopeless. I think the "no" in the lyrics indicate defiance in the seemingly hopeless, especially based on how it is sung. At least that's always how I have heard to, but it's great to hear how others interpret it. Thank you for the reaction, hope to see more Linkin Park reactions, especially from this album, A Thousand Suns.
Please listen to Heavy and one more light, I do believe that there is a live performance of one more light that was on the day of or if not a couple of days after Chester’s close friend committed suicide, you can hear the emotion and one more light is just a beautiful yet devastating song about loss!! Hope you do them two soon!! Love your reactions by the way, oh and you really need to watch another Al Murry as he plays a character “the pub landlord” he’s playing him as a VERY old fashioned Brit but Al has an Oxford University masters in History but character plays that stills sees English as the best country in the world but it’s all in fun because he rips into us as well, certain towns, cities etc lol 😂 love watching from the UK 🇬🇧
PLEASE do more Linkin Park!!! Chester is an absolute legend in his craft and one of a kind. RIP Chester, always missed, always loved, always remembered, always cherished
Linkin Park - QWERTY live summer sonic Tokyo 2006. Definitely this. Their Live In Texas stuff are the best live quality stuff as that show has their best songs on it.
Given up, one more light and rolling in the deep. For different reasons, but those 3 are must hear songs that showcase Chester’s vocal ability (given up and rolling in the deep) and emotion (one more light).
Just a little background. Linkin Park kinda met Eminem's roadblock where a lot of fans of "the old linkin park" hated this CD, A Thousand Suns, because they claimed they were too different. This was one of my favorite CD's by them because it hit a new era of how they wanted to be portrayed. Which they never wanted to just be viewed as just that rock-rap group.
So I highly recommend you dig into this album on your own time. It's absolutely incredible-it's all about nuclear war, Civil Rights etc. Everytime I finish album I'm almost always in tears. It's such a richly human experience and it needs to heard by EVERYONE.
For me, it's not hopelessness but a cry of yearning from a place of brokenness but hope in or for the only One who can truly rescue us. I really love this song. Would love you to check out One More Light.
This song is the lead single from their absolutely magnificent album, A Thousand Suns, which has a loose theme of nuclear war. So, hopelessness is pretty spot-on.
Highly recommend their performance of One More Light that they did on Jimmy Kimmel live. It had only been a few days since Chester's close friend Chris Cornell had passed on and you can hear the pain in his voice while he sings.
I subbed to your channel some many months ago and have been enjoying all of your uploads ever since. Pretty sure it was some Harry Mack reactions which brought me to you, but I stayed for the quality assessment across a diverse range of genres which is not biased or bigoted in any way towards whatever music preference you may have personally (whatever that may be). KEEP IT UP.
This song is from an album called A Thousand Suns, if you remember the Oppenheimer speech during the outro of another song you recently did; that speech is also featured on the album. The album is an experience as a whole, track 1 through 15. Linkin Park only concept album, of yes as you were on the trail of, world ending, people creating bombs to end said world. As far as next recommendations….Blackout (From A Thousand Suns-2010) Live Telekom Street Gig 2012 & If you so choose Papercut (Hybrid Theory 2000) from the same show, although they have their own solo songs, these are 2 contrasting songs on how the dynamic duo interacted and feed off each other.
I'm loving the interest in Linkin Park man! Please let's go back to the first album and do either "A Place for My Head" or "Forgotten"! Or pretty much anything else on it, but those two have my vote 🤘
The Little Things Give it Away, Breaking the Habit, Papercut, My December, Valentine's Day, Given Up, and "Krwlng" (featuring Aaron Lewis) would all be good reacts.
Hey! I really love your reactions and also i would recommend you to listen to the song "one more light" and "the messenger" if you want to here more of the raw and softer side of chester bennington
Said this before but the cover LP did of rolling in the deep by Adele is an amazing alive performance, and I am not a fan of Adele but that cover holy crap
First time viewer, couple things - I couldn't really see the video/who was who & while you complemented Chester Bennington, I wouldn't call it an analysis. I like your chair.
I love this song! Sadly this shortened version skips the Synth solo, which for me it's a perfect bridge between the vibes from the start of the song, to the slow paced piano section almost at the end... still, the performance stills amazing!
The Catalyst is one of my least favorite songs by them. It feels so extremely repetetive and boring. And I say this with LP as my favorite band of all time. Nothing else even comes close.
Qwerty- Live Super Sonic Tokyo 2006. The contrast in Chester's voice in this one are next level.
I recommend the song QWERTY live, you get a good grasp at Chester's vocal ability and skill.
I second this.
The live version is actually better than the recorded version
The live version of this song it's so good
Yes. This. 100%
Live or recorded.
YES UP
My only thing I want to add too is Mike Shinoda really should be included as well - he adds so much and has a fanatic voice even though he mostly does the rapping parts in a lot of the songs for Linkin Park.
Chester and Mike are legends ❤
Is so sad Chester is gone, he was so good, a great talent and Mike aways a perfect match for Chester's vocals. RIP
The fact that they sound this good live (I was at the last live show in Amsterdam) shows the skill, ability and that they don’t really use a lot of editing in the studio
Yeah, live they're incredible. When so many bands these days use so much digital alteration, they sound almost the same live.
chills everytime i hear Chester's Voice!!
wow, I haven't heard this song in years I forgot all about it. Great song, great reaction
As I know "the catalyst" is a song of the concept album A Thousand Suns which is completely related to war.
You really need to react to: Linkin Park - Faint (Live at Rock Am Ring 2007).
If you're looking for Chester's vocals,. try the version of "The Little Things Give You Away" from Live At Milton Keynes. This song has too much going on to enjoy the vocals.
Love your reactions. "Given up" is one of my favs from LP.
Shinoda is GOATb... RIP to the GOATa Chester
"one more light" makes me cry everytime i listen to, it should be the next one you check out.
My favorite song by them is Shadow of the Day. It is one that isn't talked about as much anymore but I absolutely adore it.
Hell yeah man this is easily top 3 favorite LP songs, I recommend “The Messenger” it’s an acoustic song and Chester sings beautifully!
Came looking for this, The Messenger is definitely one of my favorite Chester performances
It’s not easy to stay in tune when you’re practically going from regular volume to almost screaming your lyrics.
Please listen to Heavy and one more light, I do believe that there is a live performance of one more light that was on the day of or if not a couple of days after Chester’s close friend committed suicide, you can hear the emotion and one more light is just a beautiful yet devastating song about loss!! I think that version of one more light was on Jimmy Kimmel or something..? That one is gut wrenching 😞
@@jeffreymorris5815 yeah that’s the one I meant, you can hear the emotions and it’s heartbreaking.
Chris Cornell. Chester actually killed himself in the same way and it was on Chris’s birthday
Id suggest "When They Come For Me" an absolute call to arms
bump
Lies Greed Misery. It’s time!
PLEASE do more Linkin Park!!! Chester is an absolute legend in his craft and one of a kind. RIP Chester, always missed, always loved, always remembered, always cherished
ADENDUM...One More Light, Given Up...start there, then dive into it
Linkin Park - QWERTY live summer sonic Tokyo 2006. Definitely this. Their Live In Texas stuff are the best live quality stuff as that show has their best songs on it.
Mike and Chester the best duo in the world... They're great
Given up, one more light and rolling in the deep. For different reasons, but those 3 are must hear songs that showcase Chester’s vocal ability (given up and rolling in the deep) and emotion (one more light).
Given up live AOL music session uncut
Still gunnah comment given up reaction by linkin park
Seconded.

Let's continue with a 4th!
and a fifth
Yeah do Qwerty live next. Chesters vocals there are on another level!
One of my favorite LP songs. And I agree…. Not hopeless. “Lift me up!”
RIP Chester. 💔🎤😥🙏🏻
RIP Chester! 💔❤️🔥
Oh man I love this song and miss them very much .😢🥀
One more light his voice really comes to light there
Just a little background.
One more Light is a must listen. Especially if you agree that Chester is just a goosebumps inducing singer.
MrLboyd... you definitely qualify to be a vocal analysis ... 💥💯 ...
U should definitely listen to Faint by them rock am ring live
30 seconds to mars is a good match for sound to this particular LP song. "The Kill" comes to mind.
A Thousand Suns and Minutes To Midnight are my favorite LP albums by far. Keep on the train its fantastic to share my favorites
MtM a was fantastic, I never understood the hate it got early on.
So I highly recommend you dig into this album on your own time. It's absolutely incredible-it's all about nuclear war, Civil Rights etc.
Everytime I finish album I'm almost always in tears. It's such a richly human experience and it needs to heard by EVERYONE.
This was awesome in Medal of Honour. Awesome track and awesome game
One more light hits big feels, castle of glass is one of those as well, especially from being in the military
You should check out “Given Up” from Linkin Park”
Try “faint” by the same band
This song is about the looming threat of Nuclear Weapons.
Highly recommend their performance of One More Light that they did on Jimmy Kimmel live. It had only been a few days since Chester's close friend Chris Cornell had passed on and you can hear the pain in his voice while he sings.
Iridescent is my favorite off this album
The album and single version are longer and feel more cohesive, though I understand why they had to cut the song shorter for this live performance.
KEEP IT UP.
REACT to Given Up by Linkin Park. ICONIC 16 SECOND SCREAM
Please react to "Given Up" if you haven't already, amazing song, amazing display of Chester's voice.
Chester GOAT
The album "A Thousand Suns" came after "Minutes to Midnight", kinda one follows the other in theme.
I'd like to see you react to Given Up or Qwerty next!
R.I.P Chester :(
This song is from an album called A Thousand Suns, if you remember the Oppenheimer speech during the outro of another song you recently did; that speech is also featured on the album. RIP CB 🌹
I'm loving the interest in Linkin Park man! Please let's go back to the first album and do either "A Place for My Head" or "Forgotten"!
Or pretty much anything else on it, but those two have my vote 🤘
I'd love to see your reaction to Linkin Park's When They Come For Me. If you want something a bit different :)
Please, please, please - Given Up. :)
Love your reactions! I suggest Bleed It Out ( Sabatoge) Telekom Street Gigs Berlin 2012, Faint live 2007 Rock AM Ring
Qwerty live 2006 from linkin park definitely review that
The Little Things Give it Away, Breaking the Habit, Papercut, My December, Valentine's Day, Given Up, and "Krwlng" (featuring Aaron Lewis) would all be good reacts.
Rect to One More Light (Chris Cornell Tribute Live Version)!!!
If you want to listen to a softer side of Chester you should listen to - Linkin Park - Rolling In The Deep. Love the content as allways :)
Please react to Linkin Park - Faint(rock am ring 2007), Rolling in the deep(cover), From the inside, Iridescent
Hey! I really love your reactions and also i would recommend you to listen to the song "one more light" and "the messenger" if you want to here more of the raw and softer side of chester bennington
Band- Ministry, song-/video Stigmata

Man please, you gotta listen to "Linkink Park - Breaking the Habit"
Said this before but the cover LP did of rolling in the deep by Adele is an amazing alive performance, and I am not a fan of Adele but that cover holy crap
rolling in the deep linkin park cover
Mr. Lboyd, as long as you are checking out Linkin Park, you should look up the song High Voltage from, I believe, the Hybrid Theory album.

Giving up, Linkin Park , please
First time viewer, couple things - I couldn't really see the video/who was who & while you complemented Chester Bennington, I wouldn't call it an analysis. I like your chair.

Please request qwerty live or given up aol music session uncut
I love this song! Sadly this shortened version skips the Synth solo, which for me it's a perfect bridge between the vibes from the start of the song, to the slow paced piano section almost at the end... still, the performance stills amazing!
React to given up
Wouldn't go about stealing titles my dude.
You're doing fine with the titles you already use.
Хочу понять, что он там говорит
whats with the title? its almost like you just copy pasted the Charismatic Voice's video lol
yooo first
I was sorry
Vocal analysis?...
Still waiting til you get to given up or qwerty sir.
Where is the analysis of the vocals? You basically said nothing analytical about it at all
The Catalyst is one of my least favorite songs by them. It feels so extremely repetetive and boring.
And I say this with LP as my favorite band of all time. Nothing else even comes close.
