Michael obtained the RUclips channel "Vsauce" after randomly generating the name on a website. He asked if he could have the channel and obtained it from the Wackygamer guys and decided to keep their videos up for historical purposes.
I know your first sentence is true. Don't know if your second sentence is true. Anyone got a source for the second sentence? (Don't hyperlink to an external source because your comment would probably get detected as spam and then deleted.)
@@novachromaticit ain’t true. Michael was hired to create a video game channel for a specific company after he tried pitching a terrible show idea for the same company. They wanted it to be named some bs with “video game” in the name, but he didn’t like it, and went with vsauce instead. He talks about it in one of his shorts.
Hey buddy, I just finished this video and expected you to be some big commentary channel and was pleasantly surprised when I seen 600~ subs. This kind of production value is pure passion, keep it up man. I'm here with you for the ride.
I can see this channel blowing up. Also, your video on Xavier: Renegade Angel convinced me to watch it after I somehow ran into an out-of-context clip of it on TikTok of all things.
Wow! What a well written and sincere retrospection on one of my favorite youtubers! I wish you luck on growing your channel as you are definitely getting me inspired for my first youtube channel I'm planning!
I have felt for a long time that Micheal is by far the person that influenced the platform the most. I started watching his videos during the "silver" age and saw the landscape of RUclips change. It went from let's plays, random humor, and primordial memes to structured video essays. More effort was put into videos as a whole and people started actually forming identities. I have actually wanted to put the effort into making a video about said subject for a while but it seems I have been beaten to it by someone that actually researched the history of the channel much better than I would have. Good job fam, found your channel due to the Xavier video and glad I did.
i was recommended a Vsauce video from 2011 with r34 Peach in the thumbnail. i've watched Vsauce since the later "Silver Age" but never saw his really old stuff so i was super confused. got me curious about the history of the channel and it led me here. exactly what i was looking for, great video
Whatever audio you had in the XRA episode was more solid but otherwise great content! I'm trying to get into writing commentary. Hit me up with an Instagram or discord if you'd like to talk and discuss. I feel like we'd talk a lot about internet culture.
How did vsause 2 and 3 come about? Random people inspired by Micheal who ended up making similar videos and ended up collaborating? Or his co workers from vsauce 1?

Ooh, if you can, which short?
Nvm, it's his latest short lol, "Me Before Vsauce."
I'd love to meet him, and hopefully I have something good to ask him when I do.
Damn for someone with such few subscribers you really get how to make a video essay for a RUclips audience.
Highly agree!

“You’re so dumb you even answer rhetorical questions, I don’t know do you”
Single handedly the best line from the show!
I definitely think that the Banach Tarski paradox was a turning point for the channel, it felt major when he uploaded it

Love the fact that there isn't one dislike (as of the time of posting this comment)
I hope it doesn’t get disliked so we can make history.
