Thanks for this. The problem I have with this vs the normally very good value of PSC is that 5 small trucks with little to no variants or stowage items costs the same as their 25 pdr kit. The 25 pdr kit has 4 guns 4 limbers and 4 tow trucks- the guns have 2 wheel options 2 carriage options and 3 gun barrel options (I made 4 off early 25 pdr and 4 17 pdr pheasant for 8 guns total from 1 kit) and the trucks have 2 canvas options if I remember right. Add to this the 48 troops that come with the 25 pdr kit and I ended up underwhelmed by the CMP kit and did not buy it- almost a 1st for me with PSC kits.
I've build and painted this kit 3 month ago. A very good kit, I am with you. I did encounter the problem with the canvas too, so I did not use it. Not big problem for me because I just build/painted one of those. I recommend tah kit and your video.
I love PSC kits, but they all have at least one flaw that would have been caught by even the most rudimentary quality control process. I can only assume no one test builds one before the mould is finalised. But I backed these on PSC’s kickstarter and loved them. However the Flames of War v4 rules then virtually eliminated transports. Oh well. They were fun to build...
There's all kinds of online stores, I have forgotten where exactly I got these from. Probably the Combat Company in Australia, which might not be practical for folks outside of Australia.
That would be interesting. I imagine it would be a challenge, but if someone is blind and wants to build models I would say go for it! I don't know what being blind is like, but I might be concerned about using a sharp blade.
