Well our cat Val has late night ritual almost daily! 😆 My boyfriend and I have a 4-year-old Ragdoll and she gets the zoomies every night at the same time! She runs up and down the stairs like she's on a mission. Even though there's no prey around. It’s hilarious how they have their own little routines! Cats sure know how to keep us entertained! ❤
My cat Moomoo loves playing with paper...anything from receipts to napkins. One night my friend was reading a magazine, Moomoo jumped up, knocked it off the table, and began attacking the crumpled pages, rolling onto his back like he’d won a battle. But here’s the best part: Moomoo didn’t just play with the paper-he hid it! Whenever anyone left paper unattended, he’d sneak it away and stash it under the couch or in secret spots. One day, my friend was searching for an important document and found a stash of crumpled papers in Moomoo treasure chest behind the couch! It became a nightly routine-Moomoo very own game of hide-and-seek but with paper instead of toys!😂

I used to babysit a Siberian (rip). Weeknights I went to bed at 10pm Fridays and Saturdays I would watch a late night movie or RUclips and the cat would come looking for me to remind me it was bedtime and sit there until I agreed

One of my fav cat habits with my Mini. Every night around 9 PM, she sit on the armrest of the couch and gently tap my arm with her 🐾 until I got up and filled her water bowl with cold water. It didn't matter if her bowl was full-she insisted on a fresh refill before bed!! lol It became our little nightly ritual and would always purr loudly as if to say, "Thanks, human!" Cats really know how to keep us on a schedule, don't they?!!!! 😊
Cats are used to having a routine. My darling kitty does something like this. Every night at my usual bedtime, she "appears" and is ready for what we call her "bedtime crunchies" or "midnight crunchies." I will put a very small amount in her dish and go to bed. After a while, she comes to bed and cuddles against me, full of purring and biscuits, and we both fall asleep. She's a happy girl! She's my best friend!

Have 3 cats, stray adopted me 3 years ago & 2 from local shelter. One is 15 I got last spring, owner passed & family did not want, another was 17 1/2 when I brought home 18 months ago. “William” sleeps on couch, starts yowling around 3AM. I have to get up, get some dry food & give all 3 a snack. Think William is bit senile. Sweet boy. Love them all.

Leo’s bedtime routine is too cute! I love how he drops by to see you before heading to bed-such a sweet way to call it a night! The treat situation, I totally get it! My cat is also on a no treats at night rule due to his health. He does get treats BUT only in moderation. Cats sure know how to make us feel guilty though! 😂
Before my cat calms down for bed, she will always do her burst of runs around the house, running full speed for a few mins. It’s like she’s getting all her energy out before snuggling up for the night.lol
Mine does the same and in addition she has her unexpected zoomies. Its hilarious to see as it seems shes either late for an appt or on a mission going somewhere!

They will train you even if you think you are training them 😊. I’ve learned that from my cat and he is very good at slyly training me and probably thinking good human as I say good kitty to him. Cats are amazing pets.

My g/f cat, Coco has this adorable ritual where every morning she goes around the house and "marks" every spot she can like windowsills, couch cushions, even the edge of the sink! She rubs her face all over everything, almost like she’s leaving her scent behind to let everyone know, "This is MY domain!" It’s hilarious to watch because she does it in the exact same order every day, like clockwork. Cats are such creatures of habit and it's funny how they make us a part of their little routines!

One thing I’ve noticed with my cat Taser is how she has this hilarious ritual every eve right before bed. It starts with her demanding that I open the kitchen cabinet where the snacks are stored. She knows exactly which door it is and will stare me down until I give in and open it. She doesn’t even want the treats right away and she just wants to sit there in the cabinet for a few mins, like she’s claiming her 'territory.' It’s like a mini ritual and it happens every night! After that, she’ll run over to the bathroom and wait for me to turn on the faucet. She doesn’t drink from a bowl and only from the sink. So, I’ll turn the water on a little and she’ll drink, but only in tiny sips, almost like she’s savoring it. Once she’s done, she’ll hop into the bed and do the same thing every night - circle around 2 times, flop down in the exact spot she wants, then curl up and purr herself to sleep. It’s the funniest thing - like she has a little bedtime routine that’s just hers!❤
Kiki's routine is pretty much a 10-min zoomies session around the house, followed by her plopping down directly on my chest like a fluffy boulder. 🙄 She’ll give me exactly 30 secs of belly rubs before curling up into a ball and passing out for the night. It’s like having a tiny, demanding roommate! lol
My g/f has cat thats 2.5 yrs old Ragdoll. She feeds him meals...not so much treats since it has all the process crap it has in it. Good stuff in keeping leo in chk if you care for them!! Some cat owners can get super dramatic thinking not feeding them treats means they're starving. lol it’s all about balance and good nutrition, not just snack time!
While treats are a fun way to spoil them, too many aren’t healthy in the long run. Mine is always on the lookout for treats and I know some cat owners tend to spoil their cats a bit too much. But the truth is, many treats are mostly processed and filled with additives, which aren't the best for their health if given too often. I try to stick to a schedule and limit the treats because it’s all about moderation to keep them happy and healthy! 😊
Leo is such a doll! 😻 I just wanted to add my two cents on treats. I’ve learned the hard way that too many cat treats aren’t the best for them. A friend of mine used to give her cat treats all day long, thinking she was spoiling her. But over time, her cat started gaining weight and the vet pointed out that the extra treats were contributing to some kidney strain. That really stuck with me so I make sure to give my cat treats in moderation-just a small amount each day. I also try to stick with treats that have real meat as the first ingredient and avoid any artificial fillers. I’ve also started making my own homemade treats. It’s so easy! I’ll bake small batches of freeze-dried chicken or tuna and my cat goes crazy for them. Plus, I feel better knowing exactly what’s in them. Of course, their main meals are always balanced and complete and treats are just a fun addition, not the main event. Moderation is definitely key-keeps them healthy and happy!
My cat has her own little bedtime ritual too. Every night she follows me around the house like a little shadow, meowing until I sit down. Then she hops up onto the couch, curls into a ball on my lap and purrs herself to sleep. It is amazing they have that internal clock. I feed my dogs everyday before family dinner so I dont deal with it later, We adopted a cat 3 years ago. He decided he would eat with them. started eating dog food from the bowl, so i sustituted cat food for him. Now dog dinner (cat) is exactly 4:45 every evening, no excuses.

Leo’s bedtime routine reminds me of my cat Daisy! She has this habit of walking over to her bed about 30 minutes before bedtime and staring at me-like, You know it’s almost time to wind down, right?’ 😆 She doesn’t leave until I get the hint and sit down on the couch, at which point she climbs onto my lap and settles in for the night. It’s like she’s the little guardian of bedtime! 😻

Just a heads-up about cat treats-many of them can be high in sodium, sugar, and fillers like corn or wheat, which are NOT ideal for cats. Too much sodium will lead to kidney and heart issues, especially for older cats. It’s best to choose treats with real meat as the 1st ingredient and avoid artificial additives. Moderation is key-treats should only make up a very small part of your cat’s diet. Also, freeze-dried meats or homemade treats are healthier alternatives!
My kitty has a similar routine every night! He stops by to let me know he’s heading to bed. Of course, he’ll also try his luck asking for extra treats-even though his bowl is full and he’s definitely not starving! Pets will always ask constantly!😉
I for one, am impressed you don't over-feed the animal. So many of them get crook because owners feed them way too much, and a lot of "crapola" at that!

Yes, a lot of processed junk that owners may feed their cats, not knowingly, or give in to their demands. We are supposed to be responsible cat owners, making sure they get good, nutritional, balanced meals.
I wanted to reply to all the previous messages, so it’s been taking some time. Thank you! We try to keep a good balance for Leo-it’s not always easy with his constant snack requests(100x day), but his health is super important to us. For the last two months, we’ve been feeding him homemade treats, which he absolutely loves! It’s true, too many pets end up with issues from overfeeding or eating the wrong things. Leo definitely keeps us on our toes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! ;)
@@SiberianCatLeo Ensure you are doing regular parasite control. That could be an issue with his contant hunger. Also maybe poor liver function = poor pancreas function = low blood sugar. Feed him red meat, fresh fish, chicken. Crap in tins is MacDonlds for pets!
The little one I'm watching gets two small snacks. She knows when it's time for the first one...then couple hours later comes for the other. Cats eat through out the night; cats are nocturnal. She always saves some for later.
I can relate and mine always expects her snack right before bed. She’ll sit by the kitchen, giving me the “it’s time” stare and then after the first one, she’s back for more a few hrs later. Cats really know how to keep us on schedule!

Mine too! My kitty cuddles with me till lights out, then he is gently taken out of the bed z(I’d love to have him sleep either way me but he is up most of the night). He sways gets 3 treats so he knows mommies bedtime is good for him, he gets extra treats!

I usually play with a strip of cloth on a stick (feather toy) with Sasha while I'm waiting for my food in the microwave. It's both of our favorite toy/game. I have her do spins, jumps and chases. Especially when she wants to lay down on her side. I tell her she can't get rid of that fat belly that way 😂. I keep the toy on a shelf in my bedroom which across the hall from the kitchen. My bathroom is around the hall past my daughters room. When i come out to go to my room she will go to the kitchen and sit there meowing. Until I tell her no. Maybe later. Then I go in my room. Or if I go in the kitchen for a drink or small microwave time she comes in meowing at me to play. I have to again tell her not now. Not enough time. But she'll keep bugging me until I turn out the light and go in my room. Another thing she does. He cat tower is in the middle of the living room and we have to pass it going in or out. Either time she jumps on her tower (its not high) and gives whoever is leaving or coming home (my daughter or I) nose to mouth kisses. If we beat her to the tower we pat the top tier (2-3') and she comes running and jumps up there for the kisses. She came to us a year ago last month. Just walked in our apartment when my daughter came home from work. She was one of the strays in our apartment complex. A couple weeks later we got her spayed, shots and dewormed. She was about 4 months old. Through lots of Internet research we found out she's a Russian Blue mix.

This reminds me so much of my cat, Milo. Every night, he makes his goodnight rounds too. He’ll come find whoever is still downstairs, give a little meow as if to say, Time for bed and then head upstairs to sleep on his favorite spot by the window. One of my fav cat habits with my Mini. Every night around 9 PM, she sit on the armrest of the couch and gently tap my arm with her 🐾 until I got up and filled her water bowl with cold water. It didn't matter if her bowl was full-she insisted on a fresh refill before bed!! lol It became our little nightly ritual and would always purr loudly as if to say, "Thanks, human!" Cats really know how to keep us on a schedule, don't they?!!!! 😊
OMG, mine does the same but does it first thing in the morn and at night before I go to bed since she knows Im out cold for at least 5-7 hrs lol

Cats are used to having a routine. My darling kitty does something like this. Every night at my usual bedtime, she "appears" and is ready for what we call her "bedtime crunchies" or "midnight crunchies." I will put a very small amount in her dish and go to bed. After a while, she comes to bed and cuddles against me, full of purring and biscuits, and we both fall asleep. She's a happy girl! She's my best friend!

Have 3 cats, stray adopted me 3 years ago & 2 from local shelter. One is 15 I got last spring, owner passed &
family did not want, another was 17 1/2 when I brought home 18 months ago. “William” sleeps on couch, starts yowling around 3AM. I have to get up, get some dry food & give all 3 a snack. Think William is bit senile. Sweet boy. Love them all.

That’s so cute of Leo! 😻 My boyfriend’s cat has a similar bedtime routine-she starts by pacing around the house, meowing as if she’s announcing it’s time for bed, then she insists on a treat before jumping onto the bed for snuggles. Cats really do love their routines! 🐾💤

Before my cat calms down for bed, she will always do her burst of runs around the house, running full speed for a few mins. It’s like she’s getting all her energy out before snuggling up for the night.lol
Mine does the same and in addition she has her unexpected zoomies. Its hilarious to see as it seems shes either late for an appt or on a mission going somewhere!

They will train you even if you think you are training them 😊. I’ve learned that from my cat and he is very good at slyly training me and probably thinking good human as I say good kitty to him. Cats are amazing pets.

My g/f cat, Coco has this adorable ritual where every morning she goes around the house and "marks" every spot she can like windowsills, couch cushions, even the edge of the sink! She rubs her face all over everything, almost like she’s leaving her scent behind to let everyone know, "This is MY domain!" It’s hilarious to watch because she does it in the exact same order every day, like clockwork. Cats are such creatures of habit and it's funny how they make us a part of their little routines!

One thing I’ve noticed with my cat Taser is how she has this hilarious ritual every eve right before bed. It starts with her demanding that I open the kitchen cabinet where the snacks are stored. She knows exactly which door it is and will stare me down until I give in and open it. She doesn’t even want the treats right away and she just wants to sit there in the cabinet for a few mins, like she’s claiming her 'territory.' It’s like a mini ritual and it happens every night!
After that, she’ll run over to the bathroom and wait for me to turn on the faucet. She doesn’t drink from a bowl and only from the sink. So, I’ll turn the water on a little and she’ll drink, but only in tiny sips, almost like she’s savoring it. Once she’s done, she’ll hop into the bed and do the same thing every night - circle around 2 times, flop down in the exact spot she wants, then curl up and purr herself to sleep. It’s the funniest thing - like she has a little bedtime routine that’s just hers!❤
Kiki's routine is pretty much a 10-min zoomies session around the house, followed by her plopping down directly on my chest like a fluffy boulder. 🙄 She’ll give me exactly 30 secs of belly rubs before curling up into a ball and passing out for the night. It’s like having a tiny, demanding roommate! lol
My g/f has cat thats 2.5 yrs old Ragdoll. She feeds him meals...not so much treats since it has all the process crap it has in it. Good stuff in keeping leo in chk if you care for them!! Some cat owners can get super dramatic thinking not feeding them treats means they're starving. lol it’s all about balance and good nutrition, not just snack time!
While treats are a fun way to spoil them, too many aren’t healthy in the long run. Mine is always on the lookout for treats and I know some cat owners tend to spoil their cats a bit too much. But the truth is, many treats are mostly processed and filled with additives, which aren't the best for their health if given too often. I try to stick to a schedule and limit the treats because it’s all about moderation to keep them happy and healthy! 😊
Leo is such a doll! 😻 I just wanted to add my two cents on treats. I’ve learned the hard way that too many cat treats aren’t the best for them. A friend of mine used to give her cat treats all day long, thinking she was spoiling her. But over time, her cat started gaining weight and the vet pointed out that the extra treats were contributing to some kidney strain. That really stuck with me so I make sure to give my cat treats in moderation-just a small amount each day. I also try to stick with treats that have real meat as the first ingredient and avoid any artificial fillers.
I’ve also started making my own homemade treats. It’s so easy! I’ll bake small batches of freeze-dried chicken or tuna and my cat goes crazy for them. Plus, I feel better knowing exactly what’s in them. Of course, their main meals are always balanced and complete and treats are just a fun addition, not the main event. Moderation is definitely key-keeps them healthy and happy!
My cat has her own little bedtime ritual too. Every night she follows me around the house like a little shadow, meowing until I sit down. Then she hops up onto the couch, curls into a ball on my lap and purrs herself to sleep. It is amazing they have that internal clock. I feed my dogs everyday before family dinner so I dont deal with it later, We adopted a cat 3 years ago. He decided he would eat with them. started eating dog food from the bowl, so i sustituted cat food for him. Now dog dinner (cat) is exactly 4:45 every evening, no excuses.

Leo’s bedtime routine reminds me of my cat Daisy! She has this habit of walking over to her bed about 30 minutes before bedtime and staring at me-like, You know it’s almost time to wind down, right?’ 😆 She doesn’t leave until I get the hint and sit down on the couch, at which point she climbs onto my lap and settles in for the night. It’s like she’s the little guardian of bedtime! 😻

Just a heads-up about cat treats-many of them can be high in sodium, sugar, and fillers like corn or wheat, which are NOT ideal for cats. Too much sodium will lead to kidney and heart issues, especially for older cats. It’s best to choose treats with real meat as the 1st ingredient and avoid artificial additives. Moderation is key-treats should only make up a very small part of your cat’s diet. Also, freeze-dried meats or homemade treats are healthier alternatives!
My kitty has a similar routine every night! He stops by to let me know he’s heading to bed. Of course, he’ll also try his luck asking for extra treats-even though his bowl is full and he’s definitely not starving! Pets will always ask constantly!😉

Yes, a lot of processed junk that owners may feed their cats, not knowingly, or give in to their demands. We are supposed to be responsible cat owners, making sure they get good, nutritional, balanced meals.
I wanted to reply to all the previous messages, so it’s been taking some time. Thank you! We try to keep a good balance for Leo-it’s not always easy with his constant snack requests(100x day), but his health is super important to us. For the last two months, we’ve been feeding him homemade treats, which he absolutely loves! It’s true, too many pets end up with issues from overfeeding or eating the wrong things. Leo definitely keeps us on our toes, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! ;)

The little one I'm watching gets two small snacks. She knows when it's time for the first one...then couple hours later comes for the other. Cats eat through out the night; cats are nocturnal. She always saves some for later.
I can relate and mine always expects her snack right before bed. She’ll sit by the kitchen, giving me the “it’s time” stare and then after the first one, she’s back for more a few hrs later. Cats really know how to keep us on schedule!

I usually play with a strip of cloth on a stick (feather toy) with Sasha while I'm waiting for my food in the microwave. It's both of our favorite toy/game. I have her do spins, jumps and chases. Especially when she wants to lay down on her side. I tell her she can't get rid of that fat belly that way 😂.
I keep the toy on a shelf in my bedroom which across the hall from the kitchen.
My bathroom is around the hall past my daughters room.
When i come out to go to my room she will go to the kitchen and sit there meowing. Until I tell her no. Maybe later. Then I go in my room.
Or if I go in the kitchen for a drink or small microwave time she comes in meowing at me to play. I have to again tell her not now. Not enough time. But she'll keep bugging me until I turn out the light and go in my room.
Another thing she does.
He cat tower is in the middle of the living room and we have to pass it going in or out.
Either time she jumps on her tower (its not high) and gives whoever is leaving or coming home (my daughter or I) nose to mouth kisses. If we beat her to the tower we pat the top tier (2-3') and she comes running and jumps up there for the kisses.
She came to us a year ago last month. Just walked in our apartment when my daughter came home from work. She was one of the strays in our apartment complex. A couple weeks later we got her spayed, shots and dewormed. She was about 4 months old.
Through lots of Internet research we found out she's a Russian Blue mix.

That little wiggle gets me every time! 😄 Leo definitely has a flair for the dramatic when it comes to 'no treats' and that fancy flounce was priceless. Just to clear the air-Leo gets more than enough treats since he asks every few mins! lol
My cat does similar and comes see me before going upstairs for bed. He sleeps at window in our bedroom and early morn he jumps to the bed to sleep with us.

I love this! My cat, Poppy, always sits in front of the TV to remind me it’s bedtime. She won’t move until I turn it off. It’s like she’s the boss of the house giving the orders! 😂

Definitely can relate! It's amazing how my cat always knows when it's 5 p.m. Even if I’ve lost track of time she starts following me around meowing for dinner like clockwork. They have their own built-in routine for everything! Paytime, naps and even for her evening zoomies! lol
I love Leo’s routine! My cat makes a point to sit on the stairs and meow loudly as if she’s announcing bedtime for everyone in the house. lol

This reminds me so much of my cat, Milo. Every night, he makes his goodnight rounds too. He’ll come find whoever is still downstairs, give a little meow as if to say, Time for bed and then head upstairs to sleep on his favorite spot by the window. It’s like he has to make sure everyone is accounted for before he can relax! Cats and their routines are just the sweetest. Leo’s nightly ritual is absolutely adorable.
