- Crab apple picking time! Oh, what a good harvest too… I will need to make more canning with these delicious apples. Thank you to my sweet little sister for letting me pick some of her crab apples. You’re the best!! It has been very hot here and the lake felt refreshing.

Not that there was anything wrong with the rest of the video, but the first scene was what stole my heart. As a young boy in northern Minnesota, I was able to imitate the loon yodel pretty good. Then, my voice changed. How I miss those simple times. . .

That looks delicious. When I was a little girl. Mum ,dad, brother three sisters and I would go to a lake near our home here in the UK called Coate Water. There was an area to the left inside the big green gates all over grown and wild with lots of crab apple trees. My brother and dad would climb up the tree and drop all the apples down and mum and us girls would collect them.
We also went days out collecting wild hedge row, blackberries.
Then me and my sister's would help mum preparing the apples for her to cook down with the blackberries to make crab apple and black berry jelly. So delicious. I've collected my blackberry harvest this year and tomorrow going down to the river in some fields near my house to collect some crab apples local wild and no chemicals. I'm going to my son's house on Wed. And going to teach my three year old to make crab apple and blackberry jelly. She loves cooking with me .

Lisette, it’s just like déjà vu, yesterday I was driving past the town that I used to have my post office box and across the street. There’s this little pie shop it’s very old and in a very very old building you could call it antique. I occasionally pick up some of their pies, it’s about 17 miles away from me right now but usually I will go in there and buy one or two pies. When I buy two pies I deliver one to the volunteer fire department that is right across the street from where I live. My favorite pie that they make is a apple pie With a caramel top coating.
I don’t do a lot of swimming anymore, but I was a certified diver when I lived up in Buffalo. We would dive the Niagara river above the falls. It was pretty cool the hard part was swimming across the current to get out and then get back in. However, the movie ( Jaw’s), did me in! 😊🛫🍎🍎❤
